1. We were shut down by an unappreciative network who didn't know what they had. 2. Like pirates we found an unused website (that in reality had been our old home) and used it as a staging point, only to be attacked and sent running by a corporate version of the Alliance. 3. We welcomed all, from prostitutes to preachers, and had a wide diversity of characters, from all walks of life. If we'd been offered enough money, we probably would have even hauled cattle or horses. We did carry one very important hamster in this journey. 4. We found our own ship, and set out upon new journeys, seeking to find our allies and family. We have done the impossible. And that makes us mighty. ![]() |

*bows down in worshipful admiration* What an awesome analogy!!!! OMG so true. You know, I'm thinking this might just be the perfect affectionate pet name for the forum: Serenity. In the Firefly sense of the word, and along the lines of finding peaceful equilibrium in this new home. Sort of like how I originally coined the name "The Garrison" for those of us in the CFC thread, and then came up with "The Beautiful Room" when covertly referring to the new private forum we set up last fall. Now everyone calls it that, even though the actual name is completely different. (Remember how I kept talking about "hanging pictures in the Beautiful Room"? That's how it all got started.  So maybe if this forum gets known around the 'net as the DCWLF (which is sort of an awkward acronym) maybe we can just refer to it as Serenity. Supernatural Serenity? SNrenity?  |

Many thanks, AniCat, I see what you're saying, while we want to have a board title that lets folks know that we're looking for our former comrades, we can pretty much informally call the group whatever we want within these pages. That's good thinking. While we wouldn't want to have the official title as something with 'Serenity' or 'SN' in it (because that would lead people to believe we're just a Firefly or Supernatural board, we can have a special name we refer to it here as. Here's a song we found that seems to fit, and could possibly be our theme song: Like I said on the WB site: they killed our history, but they didn't kill the people who made it. That's the CW's big mistake: not realizing that it was the people who posted that made it special. |

I'm posting to this thread, one of the first we created here, to tell you a couple of new things. For one, I'm starting a Firefly thread in our 'Other Network Shows' area. Like a song on the radio, if it gets enough response we will bump it up into a more prominent area. And secondly, there will be a Firefly reunion at this years ComicCon, including Joss Whedon, who can practically write his own ticket now that The Avengers has made a bajillion dollars. Will we get new Firefly from this?
