$3.38 at Shell and QT. $3.46 by the interstate. We have finally been moved to the new bridge. The old one is supposedly gone.
$3.34 former Texaco, and I did fill up my mower can at that price, which was also the price at both Citgos. And I got hot dogs!
$3.33, of course, at Wilco-Hess not on Innes. And $3.32 at Liberty, which goes without saying.

$3.39 former Texaco and Citgo which once had subs. $3.38 Wilco-Hess not on Innes.
Earlier in the week, $3.39 QM and Circle K (though Circle K said "credit" on its sign and I'm not sure whether it was $3.33 with the word 'cash"). $3.35 Wilco-Hess on Innes. $3.42 Kangaroo.

$3.55 former DB, $3.50 Kangaroo.
So you figure I'll appreciate just being able to find $3.45. I filled up. And then the next place was $3.39. And no station for miles was higher than $3.45. One Wilco-Hess was $3.33. Assuming the price doesn't change, guess where I'm filling up on the way home?
In one pretentious upscale neighborhood, $3.79. Back on the interstate a few miles away, $3.49. I even saw $3.39.
$3.59 across from my motel, which is closed. I forget whether I said it, but the motel, the Shoney's, and even the Burger King will be torn down. And a bunch of closed businesses on the street with my motel. And a Taco Bell where an employee explained someone was buying all those lots. And a TV, satellite and hot tub place with evidence it is going out of business.
This morning, $3.29. With wash. In teeny print below, $3.49 without wash.

$3.33 was still the lowest price when I drove home. But it was the price at more places. I filled up at one of them.
$3.47 Kangaroo.

$3.45 former DB and Kangaroo, $3.39 QM, $3.45 in the morning but $339 in the afternoon Wilco-Hess on Innes. And Circle K is $3.39 cash, $3.45 credit. I actually saw the sign change. That's an advantage to the new technology.
$3.45 former Texaco, $3.40 Wilco-Hess not on Innes, $3.44 both Citgos.

Gasoline prices in California jumped by 6 cents a gallon yesterday because the Nazis that run the state government decided they needed to add a 6 cent gas tax. Gee, thanx, you bastards.

I got gas yesterday for $3.19. God bless you always!!! Holly Where you live, isn't it locally made by men in overalls who used to have to hide their equipment and run from the law? Former DB, $3.39. Kangaroo $3.36. QM $3.33. Circle K $3.32 cash, $3.38 credit. Wilco-Hess on Innes, $3.34. My neighbor with the cats told me my mower needs to use 93 gas. I've always used 87. The can won't be empty for a while, and I'm just going to use what I have until then.

I have to go to Exxon tomorrow. Well, I don't HAVE to. I got the car looked at, or at least the tires, last week.

WHY? WHY?
The most obvious reason is that it would be too difficult to not fill up all the way so the full service station can put in $10 worth ($5 is the minimum) so I can get stuff checked out. I could do this without getting gas, but I shouldn't.
$3.25 at the Shell Tuesday. I figured QT might be cheaper but it was $3.29. Or was it $3.28?
$3.45 by the interstate.
But by the end of the day one place was up 6 cents.
Yesterday, $3.47 former Texaco, $3.49 Wilco-Hess not on Innes and both Citgos.

Gas jumped 10 cents in less than a week at Crown.
Now $3.49

$3.50 former Texaco.
And I filled my mower with gas today. The can is close enough to empty that I can take it this Thursday and get 93 gas. Now the price of 93 gas is not shown on the sign. Shell across the street used to show theirs when the signs had numbers which had to be changed manually. And 93 gas (if that is what it is) has not been 20 cents higher than 87 gas (which is what I report) for years. On the Shell signs that are still changed manually, it's more like 40 cents.
Anyway, my neighbor with the cats says use 93 gas to make the mower work better, so that's what I have to do.

Today Crown gas is $3.57 and Shell was $3.64 (near the highway).
My news stations have said nothing about gas prices and I am wondering why they are increasing so rapidly.

I got $5 worth of 93 gas, at $3.85 a gallon. The 87 gas at the former Texaco was $3.57.
The former DB was $3.49, and so was QM. That was the cash price at Circle K, which was charging $3.55 for credit. Wilco-Hess on Innes was $3.52. Kangaroo was $3.42 in the morning but $3.52 in the afternoon.
Both Citgos (I think) and Wilco-Hess not on Innes were $3.55, though Wilco-Hess was $3.59 in the afternoon.

When I saw $3.43 at Pure I jumped on it. I almost filled up, but it's good that my estimate worked out the way it did because I needed to go to a full-service station and get the car checked. Gas was $3.44 there but that was for self-service. A place just past the Pure was $3.41, though it's never been lower before that I can remember. Still, I didn't see a lower price all day. RaceWay was $3.49 and the place I get sandwiches was $3.52.
Yesterday Wilco-Hess not on Innes was $3.58 in the morning but in the afternoon it was $3.54. Both Citgos were $3.59 in the morning but the one which once had subs was $3.54 later.

Shell $3.69 Mobile $3.75 Crown $3.64
I never use Mobile because they charge more than everyone else.
When I went for an oil change, then for emissions testing, at both places they shook their heads when I said the car had 3600 miles. I do not drive long distances so gas lasts a long time.
I think I could have gotten an exemption from emissions testing, but it seemed less bothersome to just have the test done.

Kangaroo $3.52, QM $3.46, Circle K $3.43 Cash. I can't remember what Wilco-Hess on Innes was but it was higher than those last two. The former DB was higher than all of them.
Wilco-Hess not on Innes was $3.51 early, though Liberty was $3.49. I guess that's why Wilco-Hess went down to $3.50. The citgo with the hot dogs was $3.52 and the other Citgo $3.54.

$3.50 former Texaco.
And I just read a newspaper column confirming what I suspected. In the part of Asheville where Biltmore House is located, you do pay a lot more for gas.
My gas can is so close to empty I'm concerned I'll have to make another purchase this summer.
