Thanks, but it's not me, it's the whole group of us who's making this happen.
I had thoughts about a week before that we should make some backup plans, that it was just a matter of time before someone at the WB noticed. I had thought that perhaps they would even welcome us when they did, but still I had nagging thoughts that we needed to be prepared. However, we were having such a wonderful time that I didn't want to rain on anyone's parade with a post about it just yet. I honestly thought we had more time.
Then Aeryn sent me an email that she had information that modTierra had been stalking around the WB site (she'd been an admin at both sites) and sure enough, we were shut down the next day.
After coming in from work and getting that horrible error sign that said the WB forum page no longer existed, like all of us, I felt angry, forelorn, and betrayed. Within about two hours those feelings coelesced into the knowledge that it was time to take things into our own hands.
We were growing by leaps and bounds at the WB Site. We had 72 members on the morning of the day they took us down. Our mission now is to find our compatriots and give them a place to come, one that's safe. And we will do it.

I agree......I want to try and reach all of the trusted that might have missed your beacon.
I have sent several feelers out on facebook and twitter.....Power321 responded briefly....as well as SweetDreams.
Why did Aeryn leave the DisCW page?
She may hold many links to missing comrades.....maybe....idk.

It looks like she did. I know she was very upset by what happened to us and said that she was giving up on online forums for now. However, I have her email address and will contact her when the time is right.
I have faith that she will be back eventually.

Thanks. This has been a group effort. We've got lots of folks working on various aspects of the site every day.
And there's no better reward than seeing the names of more of our 'family' members popping up each time we log in. Please tell anyone you know. We're one week old, and already almost a third of where we were in membership at the WB site.
And let's get all of our old threads back up here, too!

My ideal is to recreate what we had on the original WB boards, before the CW even existed, when we hundreds of people posting at the same time. Remember how on One Tree Hill nights they'd crash the board and we'd cuss them?
The spirit of SusieQ and Maxine will live on in these boards if we do it right.
