This was an excellent episode that featured Diggles' quest to rescue his ex-wife from a Russian prison. She went to Russia to follow a lead about Deadshot. Diggles has hated Deadshot a long time because he killed Diggles brother.
His plan was to break into the Russian prison where Lyla was being held. Want to know how difficult that would be? Oliver's Russian buddy said:
"The prison is full of killers and psychopaths...and that's just the guards."
Before John, Oliver and Felicity could get on the Queen jet, the corporate raider, Isabel Rochev, showed up and insisted on going with them. She thought Oliver was trying to make business deals behind her back.
They arranged for Diggles to get arrested for drug trafficking. While in prison, Diggles came face-to-face with Deadshot! I knew there would be fireworks then. Deadshot agreed to show Diggles where Lyla was if John let him escape with them. They both are awesome fighters and they had to fight their way past the guards.
After they escaped with Lyla, honor prevented John from killing Deadshot at that time. In exchange for John being honorable, Deadshot informed John that he did not accidentally kill John's brother. Someone using the alias "Hive" ordered the hit.
That was not the only surprise. Oliver and Isabel had a close encounter in Oliver's suite. Felicity arrived at the door just as Isabel was leaving...with a smirk. Felicity informed Oliver she does not understand how he would sleep with Isabel when there are so many other women in Russia.
In addition to that, Thea dumped her boyfriend because Moira's lawyer said her dating an ex-con would tarnish the wholesome image they are trying to create for Moira.
Flashbacks showed more of what transpired between Sara and Oliver.
It was a very exciting and informative episode. I did not cover even half of the action.
