Maze, I dreamed you and I met in person. And there was something about a book that had you in it, but I don't remember the details now. I should write stuff down when I first wake up.
My cousin invited me to Thanksgiving so I'll report on Friday. It's at my aunt's house so it'll probably be a large group.
I did get the bad news that our Christmas celebration will be on Saturday afternoon.

Love hearing everybody's Thanksgiving plans! It's family-palooza for me! GOBBLE GOBBLE! Here's what actually happened. In addition to me, my aunt and my uncle, there were three of their four children (more on the fourth in a minute), nine grandchildren, spouses or future spouses of three of them (one couple said they're getting married on 10-10-2020), and five great-grandchildren, plus the brother of somebody. The oldest of the great-grandchildren is taller than her grandmother and is learning to drive. The two youngest were not around last year and were naturally the focus more than anyone else. My uncle's sister was mentioned and I realized she wasn't there, but I saw at least one car at her house and she obviously had her own celebration and didn't come over. My aunt is about to turn 88 but when her son asked if she was tired she said she wasn't. I don't know how much of the work she did. The oldest daughter had some reason she couldn't come but participated for a few minutes by FaceTime.

We got quite a bit of snow the day before Thanksgiving, which had a few people cancel their plans so it wasn't as big as planned, but I think we ended up counting 47. Luckily there was a basement to send the kids to when dinner was over. It would be a miracle if I had another baby. I'm 38 and very much looking forward to my youngest graduating when I'm 44. Kevin plans on moving to the cabin then and just having a longer commute each day. He doesn't mind driving and really wants to move to the middle of nowhere. Sounds like Thanksgiving was a good time for everyone.

We actually had a few bits of turkey for me, some fish for her since she doesn't eat meat, mashed potatoes, canned cranberry sauce, some rice, sugar peas and had Dutch Apple pie and non-alcoholic Apple cider to drink.

Is everyone ready for Christmas? I'm excited to have my sister staying with me for a few days over the holiday. My brother will hopefully come to visit also. Emily turns 16 TOMORROW! She has her drivers test at 5pm and I'm hoping she passes because if not, we'll have to renew her learners permit so she can retake the test. We should have been a bit more on top of things and not pushed it so close to her birthday. She's very excited to have her license, but very nervous that she can't pass the test. She supposedly has to parallel park, which is something I didn't have to do with my test, but she says that there isn't a car behind them when they do it, so it isn't really parallel parking. haha She has a cheer competition tomorrow and for her birthday she wanted to bring a friend and then the two of them go shopping together for clothes. I guess this friend has excellent taste.

It boggles my mind that Emily is 16!! Happy Birthday!! Good luck with the driving test. I remember I was so nervous and I was 18.
We’re staying home for Christmas. Too much of our money has had to go out over the last two months, so we’re going to hang out at home. Perhaps we’ll go visit family in Florida in January.
The company I work for shuts down for two weeks over the holiday, so I won’t be working. The rest will be good.

We'll just be having stockings since we took our trip to Hawaii, so we'll go see at least one movie on Christmas. I need to look and see what my options will be!

Emily passed her test with flying colors. Very little was actually involved. She had to make a U turn, a 3-point turn, park uphill, regular park and parallel park. It took 10 minutes. We went to the DLD today and got her license...it's a little anti-climatic when they just get a paper one and have to wait 4-6 weeks to get the "real" one. She hates her picture.
I've bought tickets to go see Jumanji 2 on Christmas. I'm very excited. I'm hoping to see Little Women with my sister as well, but it doesn't have to be ON Christmas.

Tatum O’Neal. I always thought she was pretty.
How is everyone’s Christmas planning going? Today is our last day in office until Jan. 06. I’m looking forward to the rest.
Tree is up, lights are on. Marc and I will decorate on Christmas Eve. I usually make Pasta Carbonara and we decorate the tree. There will be cheesecake for dessert.
Not a lot of shopping. I bought Marc a coat and new pj bottoms. Little Alex gets toys, of course.
XOXOXO

Me and my stepfather found the body. That was absolutely the WORST thing I've ever experienced in my life. (It was a heart attack) Anyway, Tatum was super nice....and a little high. Very cool girl, very funny.

So sorry about your brother Aeryn. It was nice of the guy in the back to smile for the photo too! He was with Tatum. It was funny because before I recognized her, we were both re-applying lipstick and brushing our hair for the driver's license picture. After about ten minutes, I said "You look like Tatum O'Neal." And she said, "I am Tatum O'Neal." She was really cool, really friendly. We both whipped out these huge mirrors from our purses to primp before our photos...that's why everyone was laughing and smiling. 😁

That's such a cool story Aeryn!
In case you didn't know i absolutely love Seth MacFarlane and well his birthday is in October so I worked up the courage to mail him a letter and a small card.
And just recently I mailed him a Christmas card well a few days ago I was bringing in our mail and I recognized my handwriting on the return address but the sender address wasn't familiar but when I opened it there was an autographed picture from him in it!

I had a dream about Hyacinth Bucket. She was saying all sorts of weird stuff (I should write these things down when I first wake up) and had a terrible fall.

We had a wonderful holiday season and now I'm very glad that things are back to normal and we have a regular schedule. I'm at home with Emily this weekend instead of the cabin because she's sick. She's not great at being sick though. She can't watch TV for hours so she wants to be out doing something even though she needs rest to get better faster. I recently binged season 2 of You, The Witcher and Spinning Out on Netflix. I enjoyed all of them and I'm going to be watching season 3 of Anne with an E, which has been cancelled. I hardly watch anything on regular TV anymore, but I just can't give it up yet! I need to try out hulu and see if I could watch the things I'd like on there and then I could probably give up cable. I think I'd really miss a DVR though.

I would like to give up cable but an antenna might not work for me. I will soon find out. I would also lose the one channel where I can almost always depend on finding out what the low and high actually were on the same day. And I saw three movies on WGN America. Being able to record is absolutely essential for me. Even if I watch live I can back up. I just got my fourth DVR delivered. I was told the noise on my third one might mean it needs replacing, but my oldest one had a problem I was told meant it could no longer be used and that was four years ago. But I need a way to test a new antenna and the newest one that I already had won't let me without cutting off the cable until testing is complete. Maze, you might be interested in this. www.washingtonpost.com/religion/2020/01/03/united-methodist-church-is-expected-split-over-gay-marriage-disagreement-fracturing-nations-third-largest-denomination/I assumed the churches that didn't support the traditional position would be the ones to leave, but if anything changes, it'll be the other way around. I'm not sure where my church would stand. I told this to someone on the WB Gilmore Girls board, so that's how long it has been. My church voted to withhold contributions to an organization which supported gays. One of our leading members would have left if the vote had gone the other way. He's pretty old and still comes to church, but he needs help with everything. There are a lot of new people and a lot who have left for whatever reason. Two things concern me more than anything else. Will my church still be represented at Lake Junaluska each June? And will my former neighbor also be there for me to spend time with him? Now I can go and stay in a motel, regardless, but I'll feel like I'm trespassing when I go watch what's happening in the auditorium.

Lol, mine was simply to better myself. I have to be way more specific so I can actually mark certain things off my list. I love making lists and crossing things off!
