Awwwwww sis! *hugs* I would loan you my air condition! We haven't used it yet, we did use a small fan that we use to bring to dad when he was in the hospital and it helps some when the weather is warm! Lately the weather has been so cool and comfortable we don't need it yet!

Truth is, we constantly have financial issues over here. No one in my house has a job, two of us rely on government money which is not a lot to begin with, dad doesn't work either and claims to be looking for a job... but I highly doubt that, and I'm stuck here waiting to see if I get approved for government funding or not... there are even several times where our food supply runs dangerously low.

We're comfortable, but poor... if only dad would listen to me before he decides to go out and get something we do not need at the moment...

I'm sorry you have to deal w/all of that.

I can understand where you're coming from along the lines of having to choose between paying bills or putting food on the table. Hopefully you won't have to wait too long to find out if you qualify.

Good morning everyone, I see the boards have had a makeover and I am going to need some time to get adjusted to it! OMG the weekend was awful for me, Saturday we had the rehearsal and it went fairly well on Saturday, and then yesterday was literally hell for me! Here's what happened, I had asked the parents/guardians to please bring their child(ren) no later than 10 which they agreed to do so on Saturday and the Sunday before, well I glance at my watch and it is 10 and only 3 of the kids who are in the skit are there and I am panicking because I want to get them upstairs so they get in the main church area so we can figure out how we will arrange them on the stage/speaking/choir platforms, at 10:15, my narrator arrives and two other main characters show up, now I am a little less panicky but I am worried because my other two main soldiers aren't there yet and now I glance at my watch it's 10:25, and the last two FINALLY showed up, we don't have time now to rehearse, we have to get everyone in costume who isn't and we have to carry the props upstairs, I manage to get them in the main church area in the last two rows seated and I have three students who normally not there but they want to be in the skit and I have to make a quick costume for them. At 10:50, I run back upstairs and have the 3 kids in costume, I hand my camera to my special baby girl to record the skit for us, at about 11:20ish we put on the skit, we are doing okay but the one who is my narrator never steps forward to the front like we had planned to do and poor Nathaniel's costume is sliding off his head (it's a towel tied with a sash to look like a turban) and I can't run over there to fix it because I have a 3 year old trying to climb every which way and I am trying to keep an eye on her and motion to the soldiers when to march past the other two characters. The skit ends and everyone in the church cheers but then the kids leave their towels and sashes everywhere and I am left to pick them up, fortunately for me my special Aunt Dee helps me pick up the the towels and whatnot. I tell the kids that they can go back downstairs to do their lessons or they can do two lessons the following week and they agree to do their lesson that day, I shoo them all downstairs after I hear no mention of the kids or the skit we just worked our butts off in the sermon by Nathaniel's mom who is also a pastor when she isn't a youth pastor, she only mentions the dance ministry's dance of "I give myself away" who came on after us. I lead the kids downstairs and am putting away the towels and other props, I am passing out snacks from the snack tray because I didn't do so earlier because we went straight upstairs like I said earlier. Brendan who was the narrator says he wants a whole package of mini brownies to himself and 5 other kids want mini brownies too, I look at the snack tray that I just filled up and realize I only have 3 packages and so I open up two packages that has three mini brownies each and put one brownie on a plate and pass to each of the kids who wanted the mini brownie, Brendan begins to pout "I wanted a whole package to myself Ms. Alysia" he says whining I look straight into his brown eyes "Look Brendan, I want my daddy to be alive and not in heaven, I want my grandma to be alive too, I want a lot of things too but guess what? I am an adult and I don't always get what I want, so get it over or I'll give your brownie to someone else!" he shuts up real fast and starts nibbling on his mini brownie. Then I ask Nathaniel to pass out the lesson books for me to those who had names on them and to Bryan (he's another kid in my class who is a great reader and helper) to pass out the pencils, I then ask the kids who have lesson books to please share with the person near them because I don't have enough to go around. At that moment Joshua (he's Jenna's 6 year old brother) asks me "Can I play my DS now?" i am now angry! I ask very calmly "Is it class related?" Brendan is behind him and mutters "somewhat", I shoot a dirty look to Brendan and look at Joshua "No," he says softly, I answer back "Look, I have a PSP but do you see me playing it during class time?" "No," he says and I answer "Then don't ask me that!" in a rather loud voice!
Then one of the girls who was in the skit and new to class was trying to tell me her name and Joshua is trying to talk at the same I am and I literally yell at him "She wasn't talking to you! She was talking to me, now I have told you this before, now stay out of my conversations, your name is not Ms. Alysia, now if i say Joshua I am talking to you but I am not so stay out of it!" he starts to cry then but I sigh and am trying to talk again this time Brendan is getting sassy with me and leaning back in his chair "Stop that and sit up please before you crack open your head" I said to him softly and he is still doing that I look at him very serious "Look Brendan, you may be 11 years old now, but you are acting like a freaking 2 year old! Now either you sit up and do as I say or get out of my class and join the big kids class now what is it going to be?" he then sits up and he knows I am looking at him and he realizes I mean business. He still refuses to share his book and the girl I am asking him to share his book with his own cousin! I sigh and just continue the lesson. As you can see I had a rough day, also lovely and sweet Geramie told Jenna and her brother when I was upstairs giving the background music to the sound booth crew that I wasn't there that I was home sick and wasn't coming! Also when the kids were eating their lunch yesterday, someone left a mess on the table in the classroom and tried to deny that they had done it! Bryan and Nathaniel helped clean up, also I have told them that next week they are not to bring their PSPs, DS, and anything else electronic to class or to church because it is distracting. OY! What a day and am I glad it's now Monday, I pray that next Sunday goes better then yesterday's~
