Okay, now about the movies I watched in the mountains.
I thought I had seen "Guardians of the Galaxy" so I didn't bother. I struggled through a movie based on one of those CW vampire series or maybe the series of books that inspired it or maybe the show was on another network. I absolutely despised it so I checked the listings again hoping something better was on. Oh, it's not "Guardians" but the sequel! Now that one is new to me. And it was quite exciting. And funny, sometimes.
I don't even remember what was supposed to be on, but after I discovered I was on the wrong movie on another night, I turned to another channel and there were these black people. It looked interesting. It turned out to be "Selma", which was definitely worth it. That was not in the listings.
There's a conspiracy to keep me from watching one of the "Furious" movies. I thought I had found one that I hadn't seen. And once again, The Rock fell from a skyscraper and Vin Diesel's house blew up. When am I going to see that one that I missed thinking it was one I had seen? It's the other one that keeps airing over and over.
My choices Saturday night were "Black Panther", "Wonder Woman" and "John Wick". Had my pastor been ordained as scheduled, assuming it would have happened this year (though I haven't heard her announce it, and she's no longer my pastor as of next Tuesday), there would have been no question. The first two would have been half over and "John Wick" would have been starting.
I was bored so I turned on the channel for "Black Panther" early. It was already on, and almost over. What I saw was quite good. And then something that was clearly not "Black Panther" came on. I'm glad I chose that channel because it was "Ready Player One" which was amazing.
I don't pay for any of these channels at home.
