Wow. Three.
"Cristela" is nearly unwatchable, but I got through it. I finally had to laugh at that person thinking she was the nanny, though by episode end that person had redeemed herself.

I am surprised we watch 2 shows where the character's name is "Bellamy". I cannot think of a character with that name in shows I used to watch.

Now why would I enjoy watching Dre's mother mistreat Bow? I don't even like Bow, but I didn't enjoy what happened either.
The "Modern Family" disaster was hilarious.

I continue to be amazed at how many TV characters these days have either my first name or last name.

I can finally add "Anger Management" to the list of shows I watch. I've been taping it for months but always have to sacrifice the episodes I taped in order to keep certain shows or movies longer, or I'll end up going to bed late (I've done that anyway) or sacrificing computer time.
Last week I finally got close enough to caught up that I actually read newspapers during the time I usually spend watching TV. I ran into some "Anger Management" problems such as two other shows being taped at once, as well as the same episode airing twice in the same week. And I ended up sacrificing more episodes when I ran out of time to watch some movies I taped.
But I really like Charlie Sheen. I'm in the middle of "Major League" where he was even nastier. Once I read more newspapers tonight, I'll finish it.

I am adding "Black ish" and "The Mysteries of Laura". I am enjoying both of them very much. KyleEl I, too, enjoyed Dre's mother's deception about the dinner. So...I think you did not enjoy the hip hop rendition of the carols.

I can add "Hot in Cleveland". I didn't know it was on until I saw a commercial during "Anger Management". I don't have time for either of these and I'm not that enthusiastic, but I do want to see it.

I will have to look up "Hot in Cleveland". Title sounds like it might be a comedy.

I will have to look up "Hot in Cleveland". Title sounds like it might be a comedy. If you haven't yet, the British caretaker from "Frasier", Valerie Bertinelli and Wendie Malick live with Betty White and most of them have one thing on their mind despite being what some would say is too old.

Thanks. I had not looked it up yet and that sounds hilarious. I love the Golden Girls so I am sure I would love this too.

They're not nearly as old as The Golden Girls.

"Galavant" is hilarious. King Richard doesn't need comedy lessons. He's the funniest character on the show. And Weird Al and Ricky Gervais are on next week. Actually, Galavant himself isn't all that funny. But seeing him reduced to a lowly squire, and his squire treated as a hero, and obviously Jewish parents--now THAT'S funny.
The series seems to have been made as a half-hour comedy with eight episodes.

I forgot to mention "Glee" is back. Sue Sylvester is a villain worthy of "Once Upon a Time" or even "Galavant". Absolutely evil. And yet the adorable Rachel Berry is going up against her. And Santana, Brittany and Quinn looking hot in cheerleader outfits were right there to help her.

Sue is nice again, but Becky (who has Down's Syndrome) is nasty.
I haven't had time for "Galavant" yet but with Weird Al and Ricky Gervais it's bound to be good.
I was watching a different TV when I saw the ad for the show that allowed me to push three buttons and get a Season Pass. It's a good thing, because that's the TV where I can be holding the remote at all times. This show is impossible to watch without doing that. With the other TV, I have to get up a walk to where I keep the remote (I'm used to pressing buttons on the VCR which is much closer) but there's no place to put a remote near that one.
"Undercover Boss" is a show I can watch without going back too much.
I also saw the part of the movie "Bridesmaids" that I missed. At least I think so. I didn't act quickly enough last time when the TiVo decided to switch to the CW affiliate's 10:00 news, which I was already taping on the other machine!

I agree that "Galavant" is hilarious. The lyrics to the songs are both funny and outrageous. I always watch TV with closed captioning and that helps me to really appreciate the lyrics. I think the king and the chef are the funniest recurring characters.

I have to back up constantly. I could not watch "Galavant" live. And I'm lucky I saw the ad for it on the TiVo that I watch while holding the remote. It's the only way.
I think "Fresh Off the Boat" will be really good.
I've never seen so many shows with my name in them. First, last, and the nickname everyone uses.

Something happened and only part of Galavant recorded and it recorded under the label "Blackish". Makes no sense to me. So I do not have either one of the shows. Guess I will have to either search for when they come on again or go online.

"Backstrom" - Detective Everett Backstrom, a grumpy and offensive detective who heads up the Serious Crimes Unit in Portland, Ore
This has to be the most politically incorrect show since Southpark, but I am going to watch another episode because it made me laugh.

I have to watch "Backstrom" myself (even though I ended up sacrificing "Reign"). I would have never bothered with this man when he was on "The Office", but he is great. It reminds me of "Rake".

Guess I will have to either search for when they come on again or go online. I recorded that episode and it turned out to be "Galavant", but I had seen the episode. "Modern Family" was also recorded and, of course, turned out to be the other half of that same episode. I don't understand why these things don't get updated. I recorded "To Be Announced" since ABC tends to do Saturday movies this time of year and was pleasantly surprised to see the Julia Roberts version of the Snow White story.

I bought the box set for "The Wire", which was an HBO series filmed in Baltimore. I never saw the series because I do not want to pay for HBO. I will be watching the dvd's for the next week because the show is extremely good. I will miss some of my shows while I watch "The Wire", but I do plan to watch "Elementary".

"Fresh Off the Boat" looks good. I start taping it tomorrow night but don't know when I'll have time to watch.
I'm way behind. I lost the movies "EuroTrip" and "The Happening". Apparently I didn't watch closely enough to make sure I was preserving them long enough.

I meant to say that I was surprised Peter Scolari played the role that he did on "Gotham". His characters are mostly like Nygma and Penguin.
On "Backstrom", I saw a name in the cast list that I recognized, but the first week, I didn't try to figure out who he was. When I saw his name again the second week, I made sure to pay attention. He was Peter's nerdy son in "Honey I Shrunk the Kids", the TV series where Peter was a lot like Nygma except he had a normal, hot wife and a normal pretty daughter. Here, the guy is anything but nerdy as Backstrom's gay roommate.

"Fresh Off the Boat" is a hard show to watch. Even if I don't really like Jessica because she's so demanding and mean to everyone, I didn't like seeing constant criticism from her sister when their family visited. The way Jessica made the family pretend to be something they weren't. Okay, that part is funny. But the family got what they deserved. The brother-in-law got his expensive Miata repossessed and without Jessica's husband, the brother-in-law's business isn't doing well.

On "Glee", it's back to being an issue-oriented drama. They are REALLY pushing tolerance of transgender people.
The football coach has gone for seeming like a lesbian to seeming like a gay man. Which after the transition he actually will be. After a few weeks off, I'm not sure he has done everything yet but he is dressing like a man now and otherwise male.
