These are just beautiful Ash. I can feel every emotion in the song when you sing it.
I'm wondering if you might consider a request? I'd love to hear you do a song by my favorite writer, Leonard Cohen, such as Hallelujah, The Traitor, or If It Be Your Will.

I can't wait to hear your version of Hallelujah, which is the one I assume you're gonna sing, but I would so much love to hear your version of The Traitor (the second one), too.
Only Leonard Cohen could write as wry a lyric in such a serious song, as 'the rose I sickened with a scarlet fever,' a line only apparent when you step back from the abyss and listen to it with a second pair of ears. He's serious and yet he's playing with us. No, strike that. It's something else. He's mocking himself and letting us in on the joke.
Here's another one I love. It's the song that introduced me to Leonard Cohen, and I found through him exactly what a song could do:
I feel so blessed to be alive during the time Leonard Cohen is making music and poetry.

That is just beautiful, Ashley. I especially liked the ending. You captured the spirit perfectly. You're the only person I've actually known that ever sang this song. What was the experience like for you?
I can tell from listening that you felt something while singing it.
I'm not a religious person, but when I hear this Leonard Cohen tune I can't help but feel something spiritual. He draws upon the Biblical stories of David and Bathsheba, and Samson and Delilah here, and I think he's making an extended metaphor about love, both physical and spiritual, and that even a 'cold and broken hallelujah' has as much power as any other kind, if not more.
Cohen reportedly wrote at least 60 verses to this song, and I think the addition of these two shed a little more light, and give it a more triumphant ending. (and of course I'm reminded of the line in another of his songs 'there's a crack in everything. that's how the light gets in.')

ive heard alot of people sing and while sometimes it will sound good you dont feel anything from it because its like they sleepwalk threw the music. I love the song and I know it and the stories and all the other versus well. with a sing like this you have to understand it.

I love hearing Ashley sing, I haven't sang in awhile but my friend who I have helped a lot saw I was doing video walkthroughs and she made the comment "And here I thought you were going to be the next Kelly Clarkson"
