All things Sam (Please Read 1st Post)

I hope we get Sam Pov. If Cassie is really coming back next week, I am fearing that we won't get any insight on Sam at all. Cassie was together with Dean, so Dean gets to go back in time (Which I am loving to see him in costume) but in present time I bet they will be talking about Dean the whole time. I just don't know which direction they are going. But one thing I want to see is an insight on what sam is feeling. I just don't think we ever get that, so it's a lot harder to identify with him because we don't get insight.

I read all the spoilers and nowhere that I go ever mentioned anything that it might be Cassie that might be coming back. IMBD isn't always reliable so if that's where this spoiler came from originally I would take it with a grain of salt. If they are thinking that Cassie is supposed to be considered the old friend I don't think it would be her. Isn't the old friend supposed to be Sam's friend? I would not consider Cassie a friend of Sam's.

Well than I hope your right. This Friday's episode was more about Dean than it was Sam, so if next week's episode is all about Dean, than I worry about the characterization of Sam. So I hope the spoiler is wrong too and it's a friend of Sam's rather than a person Dean hooked up with.

I also worry about the next weeks episode being mostly about Dean. It seemed to imply that going by the CW promo. I hope that Sam get's at least some good time with one of his old friends like the official description seemed to imply but I'm not holding my breath.

Hey guys, I am thinking of creating a video with the title of "Sam Winchester is Loved". The video is meant to show not just that we love Sam Winchesters character, but also that we want to see him. And we want to know what makes him tick. This is meant to be a call for those who are frustrated and with the season and the way Sam's storyline has been written. And I need other fans help with that. Smile

To participate I need either a video or a picture sent in.

The video must be maximum 2 minutes long. On it you can talk about why you love him and why you are frustrated with the way the season has been going and the way Sam's sl has been handled.

BUT

Please be polite and respectful on the video. No Over The Top rants and bashing, rude comments or threats allowed. And no swearing either.

On the picture, you can simply hold up a card with clearly visible writing that says "I love Sam Winchester and I want to see him" OR "I want to see Sam Winchester's POV and feelings shown" Or simply "I Love Sam Winchester". Anything catchy you can think of to say you love Sam and you want to see him and his feelings/POV/storyline.

Again no rude comments, threats or bashing allowed. And the writing has to be readable. If what you want to say is long, you can make it a series of pictures with more cards. Wink

To send it to me, you can either:

- Upload it to a filesharing site, such as Megaupload or Sendspace or 4shared and PM it to me. Please no streaming links I need to be able to download it.

Well I was able by myself without knowing how I did it...LOL....I was surprised later when I checked my comment that I saw the youtube link with pic already. Its only that on youtube much songs are saved and in Germany I can't watch it anymore. JessicaRae did awesome videos. "Permanent" was my first favorite, and I get still chills hearing it when I drive the car and hear mp3 and this song shows up I get all emotional.

Another song is ...of course..."CarryOn Wayward Son" I was away on weekend and when I drove back and in my street that song came in the radio. I....was...melted....with emotions. I turned it loud although my parents were sitting in the car...yep

When I heard, "I know he's living in hell every single day. So I ask, oh god is there some way for me for me to take his place.", I gasped! Amazingly appropriate for the boys' bond. Although I voted for Cook on American Idol, I had not bought this song. It is now on my iPod. Thanks so much for bringing it to my attention.

The vid was incredible, people are so talented! Every time the video flashes to the brothers as kids my breaks a bit more knowing the kind of trauma they will suffer and endure as adults. Dang I wish this fictional show didn't effect me this much!

I think the wording is fine. It's nice to have a haven, where the Love of Sam is paramount. :heart: Especially with all the grudge holding haters out there in the fandom.

As to the Skeptics thread, I don't know. I peek in there sometimes, but I am not the person to ask for how it should "work".

I love that interview, Jared is so funny. Also really liked what he said about how they don't have to take their shirts off for viewers, because the story is important.

So, I am even more excited about what lies ahead for Sam after reading the interviews Jared gave this week. Sam's storyline will be picking back up again. With this happening hopefully we get the Sam POV we have been waiting for. I am really excited to see what Jared brings in the episodes ahead. I am sure he will be phenomenal and will show me what I saw in MTB and HCW.

Zenezie, I can't wait for Jareds performance too. I still think the show did make a huge mistake in shoving Sam's personal story so much to the side that we as viewers who are invested in a character do not know anything about his way of coping. What is he doing to be so perfectly fine?
How is he feeling with this Dean at his side? What did Sam do in the desert? Why are all emotional scenes cut away? We had a few when for example Bobby died and Dean flipped, we saw a little about Sam that he is not okay. What I want to say is when Sam should break, I want thos whole follow up with little things, scenes, where we watch him struggling. It doesn't need much in every episode, only a few seconds, a minute. And Jared said the halucinations were always there. When I look at Sam he is way to okay, there isn't any struggling in his daily coping mechanism! And I hope when Sam focus is finally getting some importance in the writers mind, we are watching Sam's repercussions on his ...whatever will come....I want to see his emotions, fears, reactions, feelings, but this should have happened the whole season, not just now.

But I always looking forward to your little comments when it comes to SPN Sammy Winchester.

I will, its just that I can't watch much of the videos I have faved on my youtube side because of the rights. Many songs are not available for me in Germany, but once they were. So I could once watch "Permanent" and now not anymore.
There are lots of others too. thats really a downer, I was often excited for a video because of the references and when I clicked on it I couldn't watch it!!

I try not to internally hype up the future episode(s) where Sam finally falls apart. Now, I don't want Sam to suffer because watching characters suffer on screen isn't my thing. But even without the spoilers, we've been told by writers that this is inevitable.

There was such a build up of Sam’s Hell story that it made it its own story. Several characters ( Meg, Balthazar, Castiel, Crowley, Death) have said how tortured, beaten, and broken Sam’s soul was and how it would be devastating to return Sam’s soul to his body, that he will suffer psychic trauma worse than anything imaginable. The second most power entity in the universe (Death) put up a wall to block those memories so Sam can function. Cas destroy the Wall and Sam collapses, fight back to reintegrate, travel to Dean and Bobby while clearly battling his mind. Then, we continue to see Sam struggle for the first two episodes this season with the with the dropping of the Wall (is all the Wall destroyed or just chunks falling now and then?)

All this buildup has to lead somewhere. In my opinion, there was no purpose in dropping his Wall if the writers weren’t interested in exploring that story. Having Levi!Sam and Sam admit to having hallucinations on a minute-by-minute basis implies they have a story to tell – at least to me it does otherwise why write lines like that? Because it all appear to be hyped up for a reason. I'm just trying not to get caught up in the hype.

Maybe, just maybe, why Sam is portrayed to be exceptionally functional is the writers/showrunners don't want the story to get hyped into ridiculous level in the minds of the fans because nothing was be satisfactory in the realm of high expectations. So, let fans think Sam is okay, lull them into comfortable complacency and then, hello! it's a slow burn with saving the best for last.

I have stayed away from being spoiled too much this season and have been grateful. I mean if one watched the preview for TAT you would think the epi was all Dean which it wasn't. Shame on Cw.

I have been very encouraged by the interviews Jared has put out lately and I too think the wall is coming down bigtime. I suspect the CW knows they misjudged how long to keep us in suspense, ie, fans getting discouraged enough to stop watching. And so I think they send Jared out to say here it is guys. I am believing this time because it is Jared and not SG who says it will come in 7.17. What he describes sounds awesome and I can't wait to see it. It will be more potent because they have lulled us into seeing, thinking Sam is functional even when our thinking brain says "not possible." I just hope the writers/directers give the time for Jared to make great. After all, we've only been waiting since Swan Song.
