Rutger Hauer (Morgan Edge) was the villain in a movie I saw over the weekend. "Warrior Angels" was about a woman who fought in The Crusades and came home to find out Hauer kidnapped her son. She and a group of women got him back, with some help from men.

I read a newspaper column yesterday and I've already forgotten what it was about, but it said Dean Clark, the former Superman, was going to host a new TV series.

I hope the columnist makes (made) a correction. It took me a long time to get to this newspaper column but if I had seen it when it was new i would have contacted him.

I still haven't written up my adventure in LA/Hollywood for the Hollyweb Festival that was held over the first weekend this month....will do that soon in the Supernatural/Old Folks Home thread. Hopefully tomorrow, if various people aren't piling more items on my to-do list, LOL.

But I thought this one item from the trip would be of interest to you Smallville peeps!

The longer version of the entire Fri-Sun story will be there, but the relevant part for you guys is: on Saturday eve at our big blow-out Frostbite Family (and friends!) party at an upscale bar that Jason (our COO & also Producer on Supernatural) and I had booked earlier in the afternoon, this guy drops by and joins the group. Sits down in the empty seat at the end of the table next to me, says "Hi! I'm Sam." Or rather, yells it at me, because the music is cranked INSANELY loud. I say "hey" back and we hang out for a while, chatting (yelling) in each others ears, and having fun with our tablemates. Sam? Sam as in Sam Witwer, aka Davis Bloome on Smallville, and also lead actor/vampire Aiden on Being Human, actor on BSG, Darth Maul on the Clone Wars...that Sam. LOL! What a classic Hollywood moment. Such a nice guy. Totally cool. He is good friends with one of the actresses who will be joining our family for season 2 of "Under the HUD". She must have told him to come by if he was free, because, you know, party! We're tweeps now, I promised to keep him posted if I find out any filming plans for this summer that might have roles he would be interested in. I know there's at least two projects he might like being discussed. It would be cool to meet up with him again, especially in circumstances where we could actually hear each other.

This is not me in the pic  - this is my buen amigo Jeff Burns, of the webseries "Super Knocked Up" and the live weekly talk/interview/geeky fun online series "Super Geeked Up". I help Jeff with the scheduling, booking & general communications...he & SGU are a recent addition to our extended Frostbite family. Jeff was such a fanboy, asked Sam for a pic together, LOL!!!!

Yes, thought you'd like Jeff's choice of shirt too. That's his favorite shirt, BTW...he has a collection of Superman shirts, wears them especially at cons and festivals, when he does interviews for the show & hosts the live episodes.

I saw Erica in the movie "Sophie and Sheba". She was a circus acrobat and had hair every color of the rainbow. Those were actually wigs.

The man who ran the circus had a ventriloquist's dummy named CW. I have to wonder what Erica thought of that name.

Dean Cain was in the movie "God is not dead" and he played a real jerk of a character.

I also saw that Laura Vandervoort (Kara) and John Schneider both did the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge and that Schneider called Tom Welling to do it as well.

And last but not least is that Tom Welling will be in another movie, this one called "Draft Day" with Kevin Costner (who played Jonathan Kent in the movie "Man of Steel")
