Roy Williams is retiring. Not an April Fool's joke. I didn't even think about the date when I heard it.
Probably because of COVID-19, one of the libraries I go to has access to actual newspapers online, not just the text. The entire front page of the Raleigh paper is devoted to this with an appropriately sized headline.

At the barber shop this morning, one of the men ahead of me said Ray Charles could have caught that ball, but I don't know which game he was referring to.

Unbelievable! It wasn't certain Cam would play, but the 4-5 Panthers beat the 8-1 Cardinals IN ARIZONA.
Also, I had not seen the huge front page headline in The Charlotte Observer from Friday. "SUPERMAN RETURNS". To clarify, that's THE front page, not the front page of sports.

Ravens have been plagued with problems and the problems seem to stem from poor personal decisions. Rumor has it that Ravens still have a shot at the playoffs, but that is probably wishful thinking.

I had such high hopes. I started the manual recording on the first hour of Fox that my TiVo always does. There is a green stripe and other information at the bottom of the screen that covers up part of what is on the screen but the Panthers were on the left side and the first digit of the score was the same as the first digit of the opponent. It COULD have been 19.
It wasn't.

There's a town near where I live where I imagine they were very disappointed last night. But hey, someone from there played in the Super Bowl! Or he was eligible too. I'll find out later this week.
The Rams have pretty uniforms. I had a shirt with those colors but when I fell nine years a0o my cousin misunderstood and gave a bunch of my clothes to charity.

The biggest basketball game in the history of North Carolina tomorrow. Too bad it can't be THE game but the winner goes to that game, and if the winner wins that game, they win it all. Coach K needs to go out on a high note.

One of the celebrities said he knew the person was lying. I didn't think about that. But I knew crows were smart.

Nice opening day for the Ravens at New York.
In observance of September 11, a police officer with a beautiful voice sang the opening verse and final verse of The Star Spangled Banner. Thousands of fans in the audience sang the other verses and they were surprisingly good.

Panthers had a home game against the BROWNS. With their former quarterback playing against them.
They still lost.
I am listening to an Ohio radio station online for music and just heard it's the first opener the Browns won in years, and the first win for a road opener in many years.

Panthers won two in a row. And one of those was on the road. The person calling the game for Fox commented on how terrible a loss that was for Seattle.
