For as long as I can remember, where I've gotten my hair cut, regardless of where it was, I've been able to count on old men coming in and talking about what's wrong with them.
The woman I went to the mountains with yesterday spent most of the time talking about what's wrong with her. She said her diabetes got so bad she tought she was going to die. She finally had stomach reduction surgery, but not the type she thought she would have, because she was so messed up inside she couldn't have the other kind. So she can still eat almost as much as the rest of us. She can't drink much at one time. She can eat sugar in small doses. She has lost 60 pounds thought she said I probably couldn't tell.
One morning when she still lived across from me she thought she was having a stroke. Her husband was about to lead a church service, but he knew that with a stroke you have to get it treated as soon as possible. The next part is so funny I think others will enjoy hearing it. So skipping ahead, she found out it was an allergy and she deals with that by taking something like Benadryl every night. And she brought along some sort of breathing machine that she uses at night.
This woman is slightly younger than I am--I will only say she and her husband spent last week helping their son move after he got a new job, after the new owners of his car dealership decided to quit paying people what they were worth, even though he was their best salesman--but it is amazing she's still alive.

Timmy, you're having a panic attack. Take a few deep breaths, and clear your mind.

If your left arm hurts or feels numb and you can't catch your breath, then you may need to call the parametics.

Well, how long has it been going on? If it was a heartattack, you wouldn't be posting now. It's likely just a panic attack like Aeryn said. Just take some slow breaths until you can take a full deep breath. Just relax.

That's funny.....the Dr.s in the ER admitted me for six days. They gave me a heart catheter as well as several other tests.
Thanks for your vote of confidence.

I know that panic attacks can feel like heart attacks, and what I said is from my studies in psychology.

I can't copy and paste from my kindle, but Google stroke symptoms. I say if you have three or more of the symptoms then get help. Strokes do not really feel like heart attacks. www.medicinenet.com/stroke/page3.htmOh wow. I can copy and paste.

I wish I knew what else to say but if you feel you need to call the paramedics again, then call them again.

Yeah....i already know this. First off, you can't mix tranquilizers with alcohol, Timmy. Sure, you feel great at first, but when they wear off your body is thrown into immediate withdrawal. You can't sleep, you hallucinate, and freak out in a big way. So if you don't want to feel like you're losing your mind/having a heart attack/stroke, stop washing down those pills with booze.I only say this because I've been there. And I know what I'm talking about.

Hi Timmy, I just tried calling to see how you are, but didn't get an answer. It's 5pm CDT, I'll try back in an hour or so.
BTW Aeryn, as far as I can see there are no indications here of anything like a sedatives and booze mixture being the culprit. I've had the same symptoms before myself, and that was not the problem at all.

Perhaps, perhaps not. However, I'm pretty sure I'm correct in this matter. Wait a minute...weren't your symptoms caused by that little visit to an opium den?

It was shortly after the beginning of the CW Lounge. I saw a few posts of his on the main board and invited him over to my Shipper-Free Smallville Forum. Turned out he was a comic book fan, too. It was just like the end of Casablanca, the beginning of a beautiful friendship.
