I understand Mistermoonlight hates this topic.

But he may be glad to hear my thoughts.

I like Clark and Lana together to begin with. My biggest problem was they were almost never together, and even when they were, Lana would object to his keeping secrets from her.

The relationship was only ideal after Lana had become evil, meaning her sweet disposition could have been a devious plot. But I like her as deliciously evil too.

Thanks to the WB and CW boards, I came to realize maybe I was excusing her behavior in the early years because she was beautiful. But I never noticed many of her alleged flaws detailed in these boards.

Eventually Clark was with Lois and that relationship gave me everything I ever wanted in a Clana relationship and more.

But it didn't matter to me who he was with. It was always about the journey to becoming

But ya know, after what the CW did to us, we welcome everyone now. Although we may have had fandom differences, we're all family, so if anyone knows some Clanas who are looking for a home, tell them it's here.

I have to admit, I was a Clana fan during the first few seasons. Then I was a Chlark fan for the longest time (note that I didn't even realize that Clois was always the destined relationship in the Superman mythology yet) then the last few seasons and it was just after I watch LnC and realized it was always supposed to be Clois that I was a hardcore Clois fan. I still wanted to see what would happen if Chloe and Clark were dating and maybe having a future with them. I may try to do one fanfic about that if anyone's willing to humor my active imagination., All of my other fanfics are Clois so I do know where the mythology stands.

Yes that is all true! I have always loved Clois to me the lamest version of Clois was in Superman Returns, it just seemed to be lacking something, can't quite put my finger on it but i think chemistry between the actors had something to do with it!

I didn't mind it the early season but it got old fast then season 7th got worst with lana dating lex.

Same here. I hated the SV writers for even considering Mionel. Martha was always with Johnathan and that was that! I kinda minded Martha/Perry as well, but I didn't hate that as much as Mionel.

I only watched the series on and off over the first 6 seasons ( ) and only the major episodes of the later seasons, but *unpopular opinion* I liked Clana :heart: ...but I knew Clois were meant to be.

I watched every episode. The only one I missed was the one where Lana was a vampire or something but I got that one in syndicated reruns. I did miss a few words of Lex's last or second to last episode (it was a clone in the finale) due to weather bulletins, though I could see but not hear. I also came back late from a commercial break when the Wonder Twins were on. Neither episode was repeated on The CW to my knowledge.

I don't even remember what I thought was so great about Lana or Clana.

Even though I've matured since Smallville ended I can still relax knowing that the Clana fans from the CW Lounge aren't on here hence no more of the childish argments.

I just really hated how Clana became the focal point for the majority of the first 7 seasons. After awhile it just became annoying and being more like Dawson's Creek certainly doesn't help. Yes, I know their teenagers in this show but you can write the characters better than this. Any who, like I was saying the show started to become more and more about them and their relationship. Kinda like Cory & Topanga in Boy Meets World. Granted I like that show and that couple but when that started putting TOO much focus on them two then it got really old really fast and eventually they just become annoying. Same thing with Clark & Lana.

I think because of this, I lost interest in it and wanted Clark to find someone else even if it meant someone different like Chloe or even Lois, heck I was even hoping he would end up with a character based on me!
