Vicki looked at Clark "what is it sweetie?" she said putting the book down.
Oliver somehow sensed he needed to get there as soon as he could and he arrived within 5 minutes since he had gone to Nell's old flower shop and Chloe didn't live that far from there. He opened the front door when he saw that it was unlocked. "That's odd" he remarked and then saw Chloe on the floor with the green kryptonite, he quickly closed the lead box and put it back on the shelf "Chloe? Are you okay?"

Clark smiled. He wanted to say, "Say it again" but he did not know how to sign it nor would Amy had knows what he was saying.
"I was making myself some coffee and I forgot about the lead box I kept in case Clark got into some red kryptonite again and I accidently knocked it over and it fell open. Sorry I scared you." Chloe said.

Vicki tried to motion to speak again but then realized Amy wouldn't understand it but Amy said it again even though she couldn't understand the signs yet because she felt talkative "DAadddadaddda" she said happily.
Vicki smiled to hear Amy speaking "oh my goodness" she said softly.
Oliver nodded "Well I am glad you are okay, are you ready for dinner?" he asked politely forgetting about the bouquet he had bought her.

"Okay don't knock over any more kryptonite while you are getting it" he said halfway joking halfway serious.
Vicki was glad to see that Amy was talking some even though it did sound strange because most deaf people cannot hear their own voice so their voices sound different but she was glad that Amy was otherwise determined to try and communicate.

Chloe came back with her purse and rolled her eyes at Oliver before walking with him to the car.
Clark was also glad. Clark heard Amy's stomach growl. "I'm gonna go feed her." He said.

Chloe smiled and got out and walked to the restaurant with Oliver.
"Yeah..." Clark said and was about to turn off the television when he saw the breaking news. "US Senator Martha Kent was taken to the hospital after suffering from a heart attack" it said. Clark stood frozen and the remote dropped from his hand.

Oliver smiled and took her hand in his and told the host the name that was under the reservations and he led them to their table.

"I will." Clark said. He kissed Vicki and sped to Washington DC. He got to the hospital dressed as Clark Kent. Diana Prince met up with him.
"You're Clark Kent, aren't you." Diana said with a wink as she was pretending she had just met him but heard about him from his mother and saw pictures.
Chloe knew what she wanted to eat.

Oliver decided on a steak, green beans, and a baked potato.
Vicki sighed as she locked up the house for the night, it would be different without Clark there and she was surprised that Clark hadn't been called by any of Martha's closest friends about Martha's heart attack.

Diana led Clark to his mom. "Why didn't you tell me this before?" Clark said.
"Because I didn't want to worry you. I was going to call you after I dealt with the press. There was a nosy reporter who pretended to be her son... of course, I knew he wasn't you. Unfortunately, while I had my back turned, he snuck passed me and the doctors believed him. I found him and kicked him out and told the doctors to let me handle this." Diana said.
Clark sighed. "How is she?" He asked.
"She's stable. But I was the one who found her collapsed. I think it was the stress of being mind-controlled by those aliens." Diana said.
Clark sighed.
Chloe decided to have shrimp and crab alfredo.
