Sorry you won't be able to be with us tonight, Chloe.
I'm here, Jen. How are you?
I had trouble stopping reading this week. I made it all the way up to near the end of chapter 44 (pg 465) before I finally switched to another book to keep from getting too far ahead.

About three pages ago from where I am that would make that page 402 Tom and nick just escaped from that cellar and that was a scary experience especially what Tom was saying about someone else being in there exactly what nick was feeling

I'm trying to find where we were in the book last week. I'm thinking it was about the area where Frannie and Harold begin their journey, then Stu meets Glen Bateman and his dog, Kojack.
In chapter 38 we read about all of the deaths that suddenly befell a number of the flu survivors. The fact that this 'second wave' of deaths lasted about two weeks makes it sound as if it was the result of something planned. I got the feeling that Randall Flagg was behind it somehow.

Right, ok. Randall Flag recruits Lloyd as his first follower, telling him 'Now you aren't very bright, but you are the first.' Then we finally get to meet Mother Abigail. When Nick says 'no' to Randall Flagg in a dream, he gets catapulted into one about her. We see the two opposing sides in this conflict begin to take shape. Nick also begins healing after that dream about Mother Abigail. This is when things really begin to take off.

No, I didn't, so I'm glad you did!
You're right, it was Dr. Jenner at the CDC in Atlanta on the show. Wow. Good catch.

There was also a Bible verse in their about the meek inheriting the earth. And that was in the walking dead as well And that scripture Owen meany always had an issue with about the poor in spirit being blessed because they will see God
