"DATE NIGHT"
Hmmmm...
If the first clip is any indication...I would think their date COULD have gone better...
And...
If the first and second clip are any indication....
I think I stand by my hypothesis that Gabe is dying and wants to dissect Vincent.
AND...
...that Gabe is a bad guy.
Plus there WAS that whole thing with the rare medieval mace in Gabe's apartment...which was used to try to pin a murder on Vincent....
...yep...
...bad guy...

"...yep... bad guy"
I am convinced Vincent is a bad guy. I am also convinced this episode will not end well - for him.

Gabe's "witness protection" site is the presidential suite of a 5 star hotel. If he becomes D.A., I wonder what perks he will demand. Catherine might be the first woman to make her man suffer the 3-minute wait on a home-pregnancy test kit with her. That is cruel and unusual punishment. Gabe is rather cool when he is being exceptionally rude - get us some coffee; I'm paying for it. Gabe is one scary monster. Tess and J.T. in panic mode were amusing. I'm beginning to think Catherine could whip Vincent's butt if he did not hulk out. Date night was not as bad as I anticipated. I would have enjoyed the pool scene more if I had not been so sure Vincent was going to keel over from side effects from the pill. Vincent did the right thing in helping Gabe, but GABE IS OFFICIALLY A BAD GUY!

Hmmm...That The BANGLES do more concerts?
Cruel and unusual punishment? NOT remotely. The guy is there for the fun part...then he should share in the ENTIRE experience.
I am always amazed how many guys are SHOCKED that a girl could be pregnant after they had sex. It's like they were hoping the STORK story would turn out to be true after all. *rolls eyes*
Hey! You sent an eyerolling emoticon - THERE IS AN EYE ROLLING EMOTICON!!!!!! *laughs*
I've met scarier monsters... *Note to self: resist the tempatation to say "dated scarier female monsters" -- *
VERY! I also liked it when Tess said: "Sorry. My head just went to BREAKING DAWN PART 2"
I liken Vincent's ineptitude to being "locked into" a certain fighting style. As Bruce Lee so wisely pointed out, it is ineffective to use a judo throw when fighting ten guys...AND it is hard to use a roundhouse kick when fighting someone in a phone booth.
Vincent is trained soldier....BUT he has been locked into his "hulking out" style ...of...people falling down when he twitches...or tossing people aside...a good twenty feet. To suddenly be fighting normally where people don't fold with the first "kapow" is probably hard to wrap his head around and adjust to...right away.
Cat CAN KICK BUTT!!!!
I have ALWAYS promoted the idea that females need to learn to fight too!
(And remember...I pushed a classic 70's muscle car UP a mountain)
Because no matter how big and skilled a fighter a guy might be, a lucky punch can produce a knockout just as harsh as a planned one. Or a guy could get shot...or knifed or wounded...or they could simply get separated.
In my mind there always needs to be LAYERS of defence which includes the females.
Does Kristen Kreuk have a "no bathing suit" clause in her BEAUTY AND THE BEAST contract that obviously was not in her SMALLVILLE contract?
...Just saying....
But yes, you are right...even though they kept SAYING relax and enjoy...it was hard to do so.
And look at that! VINDICATION for my mentalist skills!
Oh!
And I also enjoyed the little PIRATES OF PENZANCE emoticon you inlcuded.
*smiles*

Darwin, you are being much too reasonable. Or perhaps I dated men who did believe in the stork. Your enlightened views are a shock to my psyche. Ah...wise words from Bruce Lee who was the first martial artist that I took seriously. I thought it was realistic that Vincent would have difficulty adjusting to the loss of his abilities. After Catherine told the villain to release Vincent, Vincent had an expression of smug satisfaction when he slammed the man's head and knocked him out. You did it again! I re-watched the scene because I never noticed that we did not get a full view of Cat. Vincent shows his six-pack pecs, then jumps into the pool. (Thank you CW) Catherine watched him and laughed. Cut away to J.T. chopping pills. Cat is in the pool and remains submerged - not even a HINT of cleavage. Bummer! The upside is that I was able to relax and enjoy the pool scene the second time around. It reminds me that "Beauty and the Beast" was always a love story. Aww...did I cast doubt on your mentalist skills? In spite of my "convenient memory", your skills are officially vindicated.

While watching the rest of the episode, I realize I did not give a shout out to Joe's declaration of love to the angry Tess. Then his parting shot "Don't do that again!" Sweet.

*offers you a stool for your feet and a cold-cloth for your forehead.*
Ah...a woman of discriminating taste. While other guys were simply watching his movies...or reruns of THE GREEN HORNET...I was also reading his books.
Remember my pet peeve about non-native americans playing native american roles?
Bruce Lee overcame this same type of problem for orientals as depicted in DRAGON: THE BRUCE LEE STORY...and his books.
So of course his life was fascinating for me on many levels.
What a wise woman you are!
Well noted! As not the type of thing that is always noted! I am impressed!
*laughs* Again...I DID have an advantage over you in this respect....as I have PROBABLY noticed more women in bathing suits than you!
Yes...it was always a love story.
AND...
... love stories are VERY necessary....
I think NOW more than ever.
Few people believe that epic love...true love...even exists... ...and they don't even look for it or wait for it...
...or...
...perhaps...
...they do not feel it will exist for them....or that they are somehow not lovable.
I am certain Vincent believed this...in ALL of his incarnations... in poetry and books and movies...
...and television shows...
...Which is what makes the story timeless.

Thank you for your kind words. You are always a pleasure.
So true... and after disappointments, I have joined them; yet, I continue to champion the quest of others in their search for true love.
A poignant description - lovely.

*raises eyebrows*
In reply to my statement about epic love and true love...
...and how......[some people] do not feel it will exist for them....
...you said:
Okay...so first...You are MUCH TOO YOUNG for this kind of thinking...
Second...
*raises eyebrows again*
So this is more of a..."Do as I SAY...but not as I DO" kind of situation then?
Hmmmm?
*smiles*
Let's repeat that:
This, in actuality...expresses (exposes?)...that YOU have HOPE!!!!!
You KNOW true love exists...and you are willing to help...to sacrifice so OTHERS reach that goal...
Third...
Sacrifice plays a BIG part in EVERY epic romance...
EVERY SINGLE ONE!
*pauses to check the stats*
YES! EVERY SINGLE ONE!
NOT everybody lets themselves be capable of that.
You ARE capable of that!
You mentioned "championing" the "quest" for true love...
...which of course made ME think of...
"And the world... Will be better for this... That one Man (or Woman) scorned and covered with scars... Still strove... With his (her) last ounce of courage..."
To reach this VERY reachable star...
*smiles*
You KNOW its there.
REAL love.
...I think...
...you need to lead by example....
And others will find it because YOU have.
PARTICULARLY that lost alone and morose man with a hole in his heart only YOU can fill...
...as he fills yours...
It may be as simple as making a list of what HASN'T worked...in the men you have dated... and find something different from that.

I believe you are a romantic and, as such, believe any age, no matter how advanced, is too young to give up hope. Love, no matter how fleeting, is true for the time it is embraced. It seems to fade too soon for some of us. But there is no bitterness here. I am happy knowing I have a choice to either seek love or sit idly by and wait for it to find me. Who am I kidding? If true love was chasing me, I would be running for the hills. *laughing at my own sick humor*

*smiles* Well I HAVE to believe in that!
One of the main things I have in common with Edward Cullen is that we are both over a hundred.
Here...I have to disagree.
TRUE LOVE is not a phoney faux pas of temporary hormonal entaglement where one is thinking with one's glands...
Which is EXACTLY where most guys stay and stagnate in relationships...
...SAYING sweet and charming things to keep the sex coming until the attention span reaches its limits...then "its not you its me and YOU are special and I want to stay friends (just in case you let me have sex again)"
...and ladies lets them get away with this.
Sex is easy.
True deep meaningful (see: LASTING) love is hard.
Most guys stick with sex.
TRUE LOVE IS NEVER FLEETING.
Everything else is a facsimile...
...a poor substitute...
...training wheels...
*smiles*
THIS is my reply to that:
“I do not believe that sheer suffering teaches. If suffering alone taught, all the world would be wise, since everyone suffers. To suffering must be added mourning, understanding, patience, love, openness and the willingness to remain vulnerable.” Joseph Addison
"Remain vulnerable"
THAT is the harsh hard part....with the spectacular payoff.

Perhaps not age, but you and Edward Cullen believe in loving for a lifetime.
Thank you for identifying the roadblock in forming a new relationship - willingness to be vulnerable. I find it strange that I did not recognize that before you expressed it.
I am willing to change, but it will be a process. Because at this moment, I am very happy as I am. Some catalyst will no doubt propel me forward.

*Looks long and hard for a "laughing catalyst" or a "dancing catalyst"...*
...but the closest I could see from the selection available was a dancing banana.
Instead, I will send you positive energy to help you in your process.
*concentrates*
Uh....
...East?
I think I read somewhere a thread about 13 year cycle bugs and you posted on it...
...so...
I will focus east!
I am here for moral support as well.
(THAT is on my resume also)

You've got it!
(I have previously wrestled with the whole refusal to be vulnerable-thing myself.)
