I had to ask family members why they were hating on Julia.
They said they were still mad because she got Bella and Edward in trouble by snitching about the baby in Twilight.
I still laugh every time I remember their reason.

Right...she did not snitch on anyone.
I can't help it...I think it is so funny that people stayed mad at her.

Everyone thinks the acting was excellent. All of the characters played their roles very well.
I know Big Jim is the Big Bad, but I give him props for playing that role excellently. He also starred in Breaking Bad, but he was the good guy in that.

Okay. Thanks.
I would have liked her better if she had not refused to take some of the medicine she needed. That was stupid.

I enjoyed the episode although it was definitely a cliffhanger. my thoughts are...if Barbie dies it will be QUITE a surprise because he is essential. His girlfriend JUlia may be the Monarch...but she will not do battle and bust heads as needed in this town from time to time.I agree with the cast and writers that the origin of the dome is better in the series than in the book. I will happily take your word for that!Junior finally won a fight with Barbie...but Barbie's hands were linked behind his back. Maybe Junior implored the writers to let him win a fight before the season ended. *laughs* I think Barbie....handcuffed as he was...still LET Junior win...so Junior would be content with arresting Barbie and not pursue the three ladies and Joe.I think the dome helped to heal Julia. I wh\oleheartedly agree.Does anyone know if the cliffhanger was added after they were picked up for a second season? I cannot believe that was the ending they planned. From what I read...they had a different plan if it was only one season...all things concluded...no cliffhangers. There is a lot to speculate about for season 2, but I will wait until everyone is up to date.

Julia/Rachelle didn't play Irina...the cousin who snitched to the Volturi....
...she played Victoria...the Red head who was mate to James who Edward killed in the first movie/book...and she was in Jame's coven with Laurent.
Victoria did however hunt Bella in the first and second and third movies...
...but Rachelle only played Victoria in the first and second movies.
So that would be what they would be mad at Rachelle/Julia for.

Thanks. This explains why I kept saying I did not remember her snitching. But I guess they still have a valid reason for not liking Victoria.

Is that it? What a letdown. I know no more about the Dome than I did before. I have no idea what purpose Norrie's mom showing up to speak with "the group" had. Is she an alien? Is she a demon, an angel (okay, okay, my "Supernatural" gene has kicked in), what? Why is it these things seem ready to talk but leave out the most important parts? So Junior asks the Dome why he has to kill his dad bur once again has done a 180 and is siding with him. That relationship makes no sense. What is the signifigance of the butterfly and its landing on Julia? I have absolutely no idea. Why did the mini-Dome crumble into black dust? If Big Jim was so anxious for Junior to pull the lever on Barbie, why didn't he run over and do it himself instead of just standing there saying, "Do it, do it?" Boy for a modern town someone sure had the archaic knowledge to build a gallows in about 2 hours flat. I'm disappointed knowing not much except that the Dome is now white (and obscuring the view from the outside), and we'll probably have to wait 6 months for the writers to figure out a way to milk 13 more episodes from an originally planned 13 episode mini-series. Did it seem to anyone else that this ending was just patched together after they found out they were renewed for a second season? I wonder if viewership will fall off next season the same way it did for "The Killing?" Color me confused.

Did it seem to anyone else that this ending was just patched together after they found out they were renewed for a second season? I wonder if viewership will fall off next season the same way it did for "The Killing?" Color me confused. I said there would be a lot of speculation and I think you asked all of the questions I could think of except for a minor one. Before the pilot aired, King promised we would love the story of the origin of the dome. Apparently, they changed their mind about telling us. The only useful information they have received from the dome was to kill Big Jim. I must admit he makes an excellent villain. After it hurt Dodee and Linda, I was shocked that Julia picked up the egg. Maybe it was sending signals to her. When they said hide the egg, I thought a good spot would be in one of the nests in the chicken house. ;D I have a suspicion that they will never reveal the significance of the butterfly and will leave it open to speculation. Here is mine: The entity said the dome was sent to protect them. The caterpillar/crysallis/butterfly signifies a metamorphosis. The people inside the dome must go through a metamorphosis to survive when something happens to the earth. Do you think that is plausible? That hangman's platform was a work of art. Big Jim really wants to suck his son into the mess with him. Jerk! I have not read many fans' reactions, but the consensus so far is that they did not reveal the origin of the dome and people are disappointed. Junior has been so desperate to maintain a relationship with Angie that he believed her every time she tricked him. But will he trust/forgive her for tricking him so that she could help Barbie and Julia? We will know ...in six months! P.S. I would have been perfectly content for them to make it a true mini-series and end it with the 13th episode.

Is that it? What a letdown. I know no more about the Dome than I did before. Except that it IS there to protect people...
...which is...
...you know...
...better than....
"We're going to suck out all of the air and watch you gasp and writhe in agony..." I have no idea what purpose Norrie's mom showing up to speak with "the group" had. Is she an alien? Is she a demon, an angel (okay, okay, my "Supernatural" gene has kicked in), what? Why is it these things seem ready to talk but leave out the most important parts? They come from a planet of politicians...So Junior asks the Dome why he has to kill his dad bur once again has done a 180 and is siding with him. That relationship makes no sense. None. What is the signifigance of the butterfly and its landing on Julia? I have absolutely no idea. The butterfly is actually a fashion consultant...and Julia was the best dressed. Why did the mini-Dome crumble into black dust? So the butterfly could live and so Julia could protect the egg. The mini dome was no longer supposed to protect the egg. It now becomes the responsibility of the kids and Julia. If Big Jim was so anxious for Junior to pull the lever on Barbie, why didn't he run over and do it himself instead of just standing there saying, "Do it, do it?" Big Jim wanted to be seen as having HIS hands clean...AND perpetuate the falsehood that Big Jim himself found even so-called legalized execution distasteful...so NO WAY would he actually MURDER anybody. *rolls eyes*
...and...
...he wants to lead Junior around by the nose...so if he can get Junior to KILL for him...he figures Junior's loyalty is secure.Boy for a modern town someone sure had the archaic knowledge to build a gallows in about 2 hours flat. Big Jim handed the radio-guy a book with instructions on how to build the gallows.I'm disappointed knowing not much except that the Dome is now white (and obscuring the view from the outside), and we'll probably have to wait 6 months for the writers to figure out a way to milk 13 more episodes from an originally planned 13 episode mini-series. I am sure they have a diabolical plan in the works....Did it seem to anyone else that this ending was just patched together after they found out they were renewed for a second season? Yes. In musicals it is called "vamping" playing the same refrain while waiting for the vocals to jump in and begin... I wonder if viewership will fall off next season the same way it did for "The Killing?" I hope not.Color me confused. Hey! That is MY usual shade!

Before the pilot aired, King promised we would love the story of the origin of the dome. Apparently, they changed their mind about telling us. Well...they changed their mind about WHEN they would tell us!The only useful information they have received from the dome was to kill Big Jim. I must admit he makes an excellent villain. STILL laughing about Barbie's exchange with Big Jim.
Barbie: We BOTH know what you are...
Big Jim: What...? Some sort of criminal?
Barbie: Worse. You're a POLITICIAN.
(The worst kind of villain)After it hurt Dodee and Linda, I was shocked that Julia picked up the egg. Maybe it was sending signals to her. She used the Force...Luke...When they said hide the egg, I thought a good spot would be in one of the nests in the chicken house. ;D Hilarious!I have a suspicion that they will never reveal the significance of the butterfly and will leave it open to speculation. You mean the butterfly ISN'T a fashion consultant? Here is mine: The entity said the dome was sent to protect them. The caterpillar/crysallis/butterfly signifies a metamorphosis. The people inside the dome must go through a metamorphosis to survive when something happens to the earth. Ooooo! I am liking that line of thinking! Good job!Do you think that is plausible? I do I do!That hangman's platform was a work of art. Big Jim really wants to suck his son into the mess with him. Jerk! Tis true!I have not read many fans' reactions, but the consensus so far is that they did not reveal the origin of the dome and people are disappointed. Entities from a planet of politicians.
I am certain.Junior has been so desperate to maintain a relationship with Angie that he believed her every time she tricked him. But will he trust/forgive her for tricking him so that she could help Barbie and Julia? IF he turns against Big Jim...then yes. We will know ...in six months! Right...
...so...
...I should PROBABLY wait before I make the popcorn?P.S. I would have been perfectly content for them to make it a true mini-series and end it with the 13th episode. Really?
Who knew you were so easy to please?

Before the pilot aired, King promised we would love the story of the origin of the dome. Apparently, they changed their mind about telling us. Well...they changed their mind about WHEN they would tell us! I still think they cheated us because we were led to believe we would know by the 13th episode. P.S. I would have been perfectly content for them to make it a true mini-series and end it with the 13th episode. Really?

*grins*I can accept the "protection" premise but why Chester's Mill? The town was and is full of corrupt individuals. I know people gripe when taxes are raised, but they might have preferred to pay the taxes rather than be in debt to drug dealers.
