Tom worked for The Major. The Major created a network of individuals who would go on missions for him. They do not work for a government. So the Majors ordered him to marry Liz and follow Redington? Yes, but the most interesting part is that Reddington solicited The Major's services about 5 years ago to have Tom get close to Liz. Red wanted to know what Liz remembered about her past. Things were going smoothly...Tom and Liz were the perfect couple...Liz was completing her training as a profiler...and she was safe. Flash back to the series premier...Reddington turns himself in...a huge helicopter lands at Liz's home and escorts her to the FBI...and Tom is stunned. The current episode finally let us know all of that happened because Red knew The Major had betrayed him and would use Liz to get to him even though Liz did not know who he was. This is a fascinating show.

I watched it and it was very exciting. Reddington brought a case to the FBI but it took a while for me to understand his purpose in doing so. A billionaire acquaintance named Hobbs sponsored projects that researched a way to make people live forever. The FBI tracked down the doctor who was experimenting on people; then Red snatched him.
Elsewhere, Tom was in trouble because of the botched job from last week. While he was on the phone wishing Liz a happy birthday, The Major drove up and promised to help him get away, but he planned to kill him instead. Before he could kill Tom, the irritated Germans interceded and took both Tom and The Major captive. After some bloody torture and many threats, Tom still refused to tell the Germans why he was sent to infiltrate them. Until...they saw Liz's name on a picture and said they would kill her. Tom immediately told them what they wanted to know. When they realized Tom was married to an FBI agent, they let him go because they did not want the FBI hunting them. Tom cannot stay away from Liz.
Agent Cooper's friend has a lot of clout and he keeps using it to force Cooper to do what he wants. I hope Cooper's tumor goes into full remission so his friend cannot threaten to have him removed from the medical trials.
Back to Reddington...he let Hobbs think he killed the research doctor so that Hobbs will be in his debt. Red asked the doctor if he could retrieve a lost memory so Red is still looking for a way to unlock Liz's memory. I guess he knows Liz will not believe his version of the past so he wants her to remember it on her own.
It was nice of Ressler to help Liz celebrate her birthday although she was not in a good mood for celebrating.

Gee...I never posted about the episode. I think the woman went much too far on her quest for revenge. The episode looked like something Sherlock Holmes would be investigating.
I think I did not talk about it because I was upset that Reddington got hurt and Liz was being stubborn. He told her his life depended on him getting the fulcrum and she waited loo long to give it to him.
There is a new episode this week and we will learn what happened.

I wonder why it so important for Red to have the Fulcrum for? Some high ranking government officials want Reddington dead. The only reason they have not killed him over the years is because he is blackmailing them. Red told those guys that if he died, he had arranged for the information in the Fulcrum to be released and that would destroy all of their careers and their lives. So they were afraid to kill him. When they realized Red did not have the Fulcrum, they had him shot. I have not watched last night's episode yet because I was sleepy. I will watch and return.

I guess you have seen the Fulcrum by now. It was the box that held the video or microfiche of information that could get the officials in trouble.

I enjoyed the episode. I especially enjoyed Reddington’s reaction when Liz insisted that he tell her more information about the people in the photograph. When she demanded he listen to her, he paused…listened…then continued his dialogue. I laughed out loud and then I laughed some more when that happened throughout the episode.
The villain of the week was indeed clever. I knew something was off when Liz was pushed down at the train station, but I did not guess why that was done until later. When the villain did not touch the intended victim even though he had the opportunity, that is when it became clear why Liz was attacked in the station. He infected her with a virus so she would pass it on to the victim. Now, she will be accused of the assassination.
Harold Cooper’s friend is the one who set Liz up and Cooper might not be in a position to do anything about it. However, Cooper has already informed Red that he was being blackmailed by his friend so Red can intervene.
I like the way Tom is wooing Liz. He is trying to start over and win her heart the correct way instead of deceiving her. He probably thinks she stood him up at the restaurant, but he will learn she is in danger.

I liked the finale, but why were they framing Liz for? That what I don't understand. They framed Liz because she threatened the head of the Cabal. She showed him the Fulcrum and told him if he bothered Tom or Red, she would release the information that was in the Fulcrum. The Cabal set up a plan to frame Liz and get rid of each member of the special task force. I liked Liz and Tom having some intimate time together. I also liked learning the big secret that Red did not want Liz to find out about. It was rather sweet when she laid her head on his shoulder and went to sleep. Dembe has been a good friend and it was sad that he had to be left behind. He live tweets during the show and is very friendly and appreciates the fans' support.

No, it was during the second half of this season that we saw he was a bad guy. He was not one of those international criminals. He worked for the legal system and had just become Attorney General.
Dembe and the producer live tweets.
