I absolutely loved this episode! Fans frequently beg for a crossover between shows and we got this one.
Diggle stole the scene when Barry flashed over to where he and Felicity were waiting. Diggle was practically drooling when he commented on how fast Barry was. He was extremely impressed.
Although Arrow's team does have a real case that led them to Central City, I think Oliver was concerned about reports that Barry does not investigate areas before he flashes into them, which could cause him to get killed.
The boomerang flying around the lab was funny. Cisco is amusing, partly because he does not get excited liked I expect a normal person to react.
The villain would use the ocular nerve to cause people to feel extreme anger and murderous rage. Barry became infected and unleashed his anger toward people he was jealous of and those he held a resentment against. It was very ugly and violent. I do not yet have any strong feelings about the negative consequences of his rage...Iris not wanting to talk to Flash ever again and the task force requested by Eddie.
Arrow confronted Flash and engaged him in a battle until our favorite scientists could devise a solution for the effects. I enjoyed the battle and Arrow used his wits and skills to keep Flash busy. Cisco decided it was a tie.
Dr. Wells was determined to know the identity of Arrow because Arrow has some influence over Barry. It did not take him long to learn Oliver is Arrow. I was amused but not surprised when Oliver told Felicity that there is something strange about Wells.
The collaboration will continue while they investigate the strange and powerful boomerang.

I watched the two episodes back-to- back but I preferred the Flash episode better than the Arrow one.

I watched both parts, and because I waited to see the first one, I saw both the same night. It turns out it wasn't essential to watch both, but I did enjoy seeing the "Flash" cast on the other show.
Oliver was so serious. Seeing him use arrows made it kind of unsettling shen Wendy got shot last night.
I don't like seeing The Flash be so mean to people and I didn't like what he did to Eddie even if I don't like him. They had a real problem, although they've had this problem with the metahumans anyway.
It does kind of bother me that Iris won't talk to him now, though I don't really want him and Iris together.

This was an excellent episode. CW shows often let the hero lose a skirmish so we can never assume the Flash will always defeat his nemesis. I wonder why the guy is taunting Barry. Barry is carrying an enormous burden of responsibility and I hope the conversation with his father helped. I was surprised to learn the identity of the man who create fire and I think he adds an interesting dynamic to the story. He can fly!!! Oh...Dr. Wells...you are so mysterious...and deceptive. You talk to Caitlin, Cisco, and everyone as if you have nothing to hide and you are so convincing.  You could have knocked me over with a feather when Barry confessed his feelings to Iris. Then when he returned to the house and Iris was sitting on her boyfriend's lap, I wanted to yank her off of his lap out of respect for Barry's feelings. She could wait until they are alone.  Cisco is amusing but there is no doubt he is brilliant. He examined the evidence and listened carefully to the witness and came to the conclusion that there were two meta-humans present when Barry's mother was killed. I really enjoyed it. |

I hate to see Barry defeated but they always figure something out.
There's a lot more to Dr. Wells than we see.
I don't know what to think about Iris. I don't like Eddie but I'm not entirely comfortable with Barry being with her either. He's like her brother!

I never mentioned it, but I like Eddie. He is a respectful man and has shown consideration for Iris's father and for Barry's feelings for Iris. He noticed and acknowledged that Barry might have feelings for Iris, but she kept reassuring him that was nonsense. Also, I think he was justified in forming a task force to investigate the Flash because he was not convinced that the Flash was a good guy.

My recording was cut short. The last thing I saw was Wells putting on a Flash ring. What happened next? Wells tapped a spot on the wall with the ring. The wall slid aside. Wearing a pleased smile, he pushed the ring sharply against a red button. A yellow suit was revealed enclosed in a special chamber. Wells placed the tachyon particle thingy to the suit. The suit began to show alternating particles of light just below the surface. Wells stared at the suit...then said "Merry Christmas". *dramatic music* Scene alternated between the glowing suit and Wells...as Wells' smile slowly broadened. Then scenes from the January 20 episode. |

I'm so glad this week's was a rerun, but I still haven't seen the pilot. I decided to watch the show after I thought it had been on a while but found out only the pilot had aired so I didn't miss anything.
So I'm hoping for the pilot soon.

This show won for best new drama on the People's Choice Awards but they couldn't be bothered to present the award on the broadcast.
On the other hand, "Jane the Virgin" won for favorite new comedy and they couldn't put that one on the broadcast. That would be just embarrassing.
What happened to that show on the Golden Globes defies explanation.

I am really excited to see the return of the series! I know that I have seen a few posts online where they replace the look of Flash from the Smallville look to the newest look based on the series, I also watched a mini clip of a interview from the person who portrays Dr. Wells and he made the comment "I love how people are wondering what he is up to, what could he be up to?"

Yep, I was surprised how similar it was.
I also noticed that some of lines that Flash says to Iris is like what Clark as the Blur said to Lois!

I really enjoyed this. It is fun to watch Cisco run tests for Barry. Barry and Cisco are the only ones who seem to get a thrill from it though. When Barry appeared to be unable to get up after being hit by the drone, Dr. Wells was so concerned, he began to rise from his chair. It is a good things the guys were not looking in his direction. When Barry was ready to continue training, both Caitlin and Dr. Wells said "No!" ![]() Dr. Wells and Barry have been bonding for awhile now and he does have influence over Barry. Det. West is smart and he knows that. I think Det. West handles the situation the right way by not pushing Barry too hard. I think it was a good idea for Barry and Det. West to live together again, and it was funny how fast Barry moved his stuff into the house. Captain Cold and Heatwave are villains with psychotic tendencies and it is surprising more people were not injured. I always liked Eddie and thought he was a good guy, and he proved himself to be a hero when he risked his life to save The Flash. Let's not forget he was very anti-Flash in the past, and now he has acknowledged The Flash is a hero. His mouth would probably drop to the floor if he found out Barry is The Flash. I bet we all knew the villains would escape, but who the heck is Snart's sister? |

From what I've seen in terms of hints or clues, we are likely to see several DC heroes in both Arrow and the Flash.
On the Flash side ...
Green Lantern
Blue Beetle
Cyborg
Metamorpho
Firestorm
Steel
On the Arrow side ...
Wildcat
A new Black Canary
The Atom
Add these to the Flash, Arrow and Arsenal ... it looks like a JLA series could be a very real possibility.
At the very least, a multi-part, crossover event.
