I would ship Felicity and Barry too but that seems doubtful.
I like Cisco with Caitlin but she seems better with Barry though.
I do NOT ship Iris with Barry though, she is better with Eddie.

I really enjoyed this. Flash learns new ways to use his speed every week. In spite of Dr. Wells’ villainous streak, he does help Barry to realize and use his abilities to fight crime and to protect himself. I cheered when he helped Barry get rid of the bomb, but then I remembered he is still a murderer.
The Thawne/Wells mystery has been solved, and I hate, hate, HATE him being a villain. They should not have made him so darn charismatic, darn it.
The Allen father-son moments were precious and wonderful. I was happy when Barry revealed himself.
I am glad Eddie was pulled into the inner circle and now they do not have to avoid him. He did look totally shocked. I bet when he remembers how he hit Barry, he will realize Barry could have kicked him to the moon.
The Trickster tricked the police and Barry the way he acted upset in prison. That was pretty good.
I wonder if Iris will accept Eddie’s explanation and stop asking questions about the reporter.

I guess the real wells is dead now so this will next battle against him I bet.

I agree that the real Wells is probably dead. It is strange though that Thawne was able to transfer himself into Wells' body and take it over, but it was different with Ronnie and the professor. They both inhabited the same body and was able to be separated.
Hypothesis: The real Wells brain is still there and he is the one who is loving and caring. Then the evil Thawne brain takes over sometimes and kills people.
I could live with that. What do you think?

I think that might be the case because Thawne is evil worder how they will do without wells it will be a big loss can't wait unit april 14 to find out this is a good show hope CW keeps it around for a whole.

I interpreted what happened to Wells as being the same as what happened to Ronnie. Eobard lets Wells be Wells because that way he can accomplish most of what he wants to. But when he needs to be Eobard, and stands up and takes off the glasses.
I go back a long way with Mark Hamill. Did anyone get the "Star Wars" reference? Darth Vader told him "I am your father." So he said the same thing to his biggest fan.
Before "Star Wars", I knew him as Gary Busey's brother on a silly Western called "The Texas Wheelers". Their father who abandoned them came back.
I guess I was happy that Eddie knows who The Flash is now. But I don't think the time is right for Iris.
Too much violence, as usual.
But I did like seeing the flashbacks of Eobard.

Wikipedia is one of the few sites I feel comfortable going to at home. Without it I wouldn't know: Hamill was the animated high school student master of a genie named Jeannie! I watched that show!

Good, we all agree Wells and Thawne are both present at times. That was a good observation about the removal of the glasses and now I get chills thinking about the times he did that. I noticed the Star Wars reference too.

We agree that Wells and Thawne are both present, but one source I looked at says Wells died. So it's hard to say just how that works. Thawne would have to be very good at pretending to be Wells.

I am watching the episode a second time and realize the unidentified blood at Barry's home must belong to Thawne. Of course, that was before he took over Wells' body.

I also like the nod to Felicity's computer skills.
Then the nod to "Breaking Bad" season 5.

This was quite an episode!
I loved the Trickster bits and the reveal of Barry's secrets to Eddie and his dad.
I noticed the 'Star Wars' reference too.
Did anyone else think that James 'trickster' Jesse was subtly acting like Hannibal from 'the silence of the lambs' when Barry and Joe met him? I certainly did!
So Dr. Wells isn't Dr. Wells all this time? Interesting plot twist.
I wasn't crazy about the flashback bits because they made me sad for Barry.
Iris needs to stop questioning, she's becoming like Lana and Lois when she does that!
I noticed that Barry is using a voice deepening device similar to Clark's as the Blur, I am just surprised you can hear his earpiece when he gets instructions from the lab especially Cisco. Wouldn't Iris get suspicious of that? I know I would.
I am anxious to see what happens next.

I adore his warm and gentle mentoring of the young scientists even when they make mistakes. Since Dr. Wells was never from the future, Thawne is the only one who would make those references about returning to his time. I never watched "Silence of the Lambs", but now that I am older and less squeamish, I did watch the "Hannibal" TV series. Based on the promos of the movie, I can see the resemblance. I believe no one can actually hear the information given to Barry through the earpiece. I am sure that is solely for the benefit of the audience so we know what is being transmitted. Lois irritated me in all of her entities except for the last "Superman" movie. They finally portrayed her as warm and loving instead of nosy and pushy. I hope Iris does not resort to alienating her friends to get a story. If she is a good reporter, she should be able to survive without doing that.

I know I enjoyed Dr. Wells in the flashback scenes with his beloved Tess, he seems like a loving man but the transformation by Thawne has definitely changed him into a cold man at times.
I haven't seen "Silence of the Lambs" either but I have seen the clip of Jodie Foster confronting Anthony Hopkins a few times enough to know what the story is about. I am not squeamish at all (though I still can't stand to watch others puke because it makes me sick, other than that I am fine with watching all sorts of horrific things (my mom can't though, she has an extremely sensitive stomach was told it would stop after she had me but it hasn't)
I myself was a reporter in college and I was never nosy or pushy to my friends and my reporter friend (he's in college at Liberty currently) isn't pushy or nosy at all, I lovingly call him Clark Kent and teasingly ask when he is joining the "Daily Planet".
I do admit I can be very nosy but never with those I care about!
You're probably right about the earpiece, I hadn't thought about that piece of info.
