Anyone watching the Blacklist? Yes, I am watching and it is still one of my favorite shows. They made Liz and Ressler tougher this season, thank goodness. I was tired of them looking inept when they were either pursuing or fighting suspects. It is very exciting and I like seeing Reddington and Liz together more. I am thrilled that Tom Keen is back. The one thing I hate is that Dembe is hurt. |

The old boss is still alive, but he got into a lot of trouble because he was protecting Liz and refused to do what the crooked big bosses wanted. He is retiring but is still trying to help Liz. It looks like he will team up with Tom Keen and that should be exciting.
They do not believe Liz because she did shoot and kill the Attorney General. She (and Reddington) is accusing some of the most powerful people in the country of being criminals but has not been able to show them proof because she has been on the run and trying to get proof.

I was thinking about Ressler as the new boss or team leader replacing Harold Cooper, but if you are thinking about the Deputy Attorney General (the lady who always fusses at them), I do not think she is crooked. She never approved of the team because she never trusted Reddington.

Not really. The Blacklisters that Reddington alerts the team about are so important to national security that it would be hurting the country if they shut down the team. Reddington refuses to give the information to anyone but that team so the FBI is stuck with them. Did you notice that Reddington has snitched on Blacklisters even while he and Liz are on the run?

Thanks. Well...a lot has happened since we last chatted about The Blacklist.
1. There will be a Blacklist spinoff starring Tom Keen and Mr. Solomon (the charismatic black villain who is the enforcer for the Cabal). I am excited because both of them are awesome, whether they are villains or not.
2. Tom Keen proposed (again) to Lizzie. She accepted and wanted to have the wedding before the baby came. (She was pregnant in real life and they worked it into the story.) Mr. Solomon and his team arrived during the wedding and tried to kidnap Liz. There was a lot of excitement during and after the shoot out. Tom escaped with Liz but they had an auto accident while being pursued by Mr. Solomon. Liz and Red's medical friend gave medical aid and performed an emergency C-section.
Liz died because ambiotic fluid entered her blood stream. Tom and Red were devastated. I was shocked because I had no clue Liz was going to die.
3. The following episode found Red in an opium den high as a kite. When he left, we saw Red in an unusual state of mind, probably fueled by both shock and too much opium. The director did an amazing job with the episode, but you had to pay attention or it would have been confusing. By the end, you will realize that Red was confusing the events that followed Liz' wedding with events that happened when he was with Liz' mother. The answer to one of our questions was revealed.
4. Tom refused to let Red have any contact with the baby and that breaks his heart.

I wonder if Liz is really dead or faked her death to get away from everyone and plus the actress is or was pregnant.

I think she is really gone and that opens the door for Tom Keen to have an exciting role in the spinoff. Plus, Liz was not a fan favorite as far as I could tell.
