Aaron has led our group to what may be a safe haven. It looks clean and there are houses they might be able to live in. The big question.....is it safe? Darryl looks unsure and Rick and Carl are being very cautious. What about the rest of the group? What will happen here? Watch, rate and discuss!

I must admire Carl for being brave enough to open a door not knowing what is on the other side of it.
A house is much better than living in a train car.

I enjoyed the episode. I even enjoyed seeing them skin a walker.
Alexandria provided a crib and a stroller for Judith. That is a good way to get the parent on their side.
Daryl needs to be housebroken…skinning a critter on the front porch…dag! I laughed when Carol told Daryl “I’m going to hose you down in your sleep.” :DI love hyper Daryl…when he does that feline-like pacing.
Rick cleaned up pretty well. Congresswoman looked interested, but I think she should keep her distance.
Carl is a wise boy…”They are weak and I don’t want us to get weak too.” Rick showed Carl he has confidence that they will not become weak when they bonded over killing the walkers.
Carol has become quite the actress. First, she acted as if she did not know how to handle weapons. Then, she said “I miss that stupid wonderful man [Ed] every day.” Whatttt? She is fooling them into thinking she is not dangerous. Well done.
Glen had no problem putting that jerk on his butt. Then Michonne offered to teach him a further lesson.
Rick is back in uniform, but what will Michonne wear?

She is fooling them into thinking she is not dangerous. Well done. Oooh I didn't pick up on that!! I heard the comment about Ed and was like wha? [/img] I enjoyed the episode as well. Rick and Carl teaming up to kill walkers was awesome. I do not trust congresswoman or her crazy son. He pushed Tara into that walker! What a creep. Ricks new love interest Jessie was introduced. (she's in the comics) But she has a husband so we shall see how that works out. Why did the woman say that Judith was the first baby they'd seen in a while? If the community is so safe and they're trying to "rebuild humanity" why aren't there more babies? No Gabriel. Not complaining... but what is the point of him even being in the group? I hope he turns out to be a psycho.

I agree about the congresswoman too.
@smallvillian0 Good question about the babies. How could they lose a baby in the safe, gated community? They are not being honest about their history. I bet the congresswoman's son was not supposed to mention they had lost four members on their last trip to find supplies. They might plan to use Rick's people to do the dangerous tasks.
Your comment about Gabriel was interesting and I went back to look at the group shots again. Although Gabriel walked through the gates, I did not see him with the group after that. I did see a steeple in the distance and is it possible he is camping at the church?
IMDb did not list Jesse with the rest of the cast and I am sure that was an oversight. I am adding the Alexandria members to the TWD cast thread; otherwise, I will not keep the names straight.

Hiya gang,
At the very beginning, just before the group enters the gates, Carl sees someone staring at him in the abandoned house. Michonne walks by and the person is gone. I wonder if it was a real person or is Carl seeing things like Rick did.
Those walls don't look very strong.
These people might be harmless but they're definitely hiding something.

I don't read the comics, but I have heard a lot of things. From time to time I will google a character or place, but I don't really want to know everything.
This place almost feels like an experiment and Rick's group are test subjects.
Idk.

The beard shaving scene reminded me of the one with Charlton Heston in Planet of the Apes. Rick looks quite a bit like him, as well.

Another "wolf" reference. Carl picks up a magazine called Wolf Fight.

Looks like the magazine belongs to Enid ... and she went over the wall and disappeared into the woods. I wonder if there is a connection with the group that slaughtered Noah's town.

Ooh...that is interesting about the wolf. I will be alert for more references. Enid has been with them for eight months and she was not afraid to go over the wall alone. She was also clever enough to avoid Carl tracking her.

That looked like Enid at the window but I cannot imagine why she would have been there. Speaking of the beginning, when the can rattled and Daryl shot the arrow, I thought he might have killed a pet. Fortunately, it was "dinner".

I missed when that girl Enid was introduced. Did they say they took her in by herself? like she has no family?

All they said was that she came from "outside" I think she is a spy.
The teaser shown during Talking Dead shows Sasha shooting at pictures while constantly looking over her shoulder. Why is she shooting pictures? It seems like she's trying to get someone's attention ... trying to draw someone out. Perhaps those family pictures belonged to the 3 members that Deanna kicked out.

That sounds like a plausible reason for Sasha's actions. I must admit though that she looked a little unstable.

Rick does not trust them and at the end of the episode, he said if it did not work out, they might have to take over the place. Although Deanna "stored" their guns, they still have their other weapons. Daryl is sleeping with his crossbow and that was a deadly looking butcher's knife Rick removed from a drawer before taking his nightly stroll. I think it was very wise of him to walk around the community at night to get a better feel for the place.

Dammit, dammit, dammit. I just wrote an entire epistle on this great episode and lost it! Maybe I'll try again later, but I know I won't be as eloquent as my first effort. Damn computer!

"We brought dinner."
"I miss that lovable, stupid man."
"I'll hose you down while you're asleep."
"You look stupid."
Terrific episode. I gave it a 4 only because there were so many hanging threads with the people in Alexandria. I don't trust them.....from Deanna to the two jerks that pissed off Glenn.
Why have we seen so few people? Why are some so interested in seeing a baby? Why haven't there been babies born in this walled in city?
Who are the 3(?) that Deanna had thrown out? What were their crimes? Why didn't they "work out?"
How long will Carol be able to maintain her Mrs. Goodwife role? I can't believe it will last long if she's pressed.
Who is that little girl, Enid? Is she really alone? Where did she go when she scaled the fence? Why did she come back?
How is Alexandria able to keep electricity and water going? Where are they getting the power?
What about the filmed "auditions" with Deanna? Do you think members of our group will stumble upon the filmed interviews of others, including those who were tossed out?
Interesting that both Carol and Carl are worried that staying there is going to make them weak.
Loved that Michonne enjoyed her shower so much, but she may have too much of herself invested in the group liking and fitting in here.
Darryl is the only one who isn't changing. Will he ever shower and comb his hair?
Where did Rick get that cheesy policeman's outfit? Why does he feel the need to wear that? What will Michonne do for a constable's outfit. I don't think her sword will fit into a holster.
Glenn sure has become strong. Remember him in the first season? I would never have thought he would become such a strong guy. He wants this to work, too. "We may have been out there TOO long."
Didn't miss not seeing Gabriel. But what about Abraham? What does he think of the place?
Will the group break up and move into more houses?
Looking forward to next week's episode.

And I almost forgot.............Rick may be shaved and shorn but he's still a little crazy. His stone faced reply to Darryl and Carol....."we'll just take this place from them" reminded me of the people in Terminus. Someone has got to rein him in. Rick hasn't gone completely dark side, but he's awfully close.
