Fox has renewed the supernatural drama for an 18-episode third season.
Clifton Campbell (“The Glades” creator) will take over as showrunner, stepping in for Mark Goffman, who exited the show after declining season-two ratings, signing an overall deal with CBS Studios earlier this month.
The series, co-created by Alex Kurtzman, Roberto Orci, Phillip Iscove and Len Wiseman, stars Tom Mison as Ichabod Crane and Nicole Beharie as Abbie Mills. Kurtzman, Orci, Wiseman and Heather Kadin will serve as exec producers, along with Campbell, for the new season.
“‘Sleepy Hollow’ is truly inventive television,” said David Madden, Fox entertainment president. “The talented producers – led by Alex, Bob, Len and Heather – along with the brilliant cast, anchored by Nicole and Tom, have created a fantastic world that brings ‘history’ to life with compelling and vibrant storytelling.”
Of the new showrunner, Madden said: “I had the pleasure of working with Clifton on both ‘The Glades’ and ‘White Collar.’ He is an excellent producer, and we can’t wait to see what this team has in store for season three.”

Season 3 will be moved to Thurs nights and is set to premiere on Oct 1st. I am just guessing that it will be shown at 9pm/e which will coincide w/the Originals for me.
Oh, and because we are moving to a Fri-Thur ad starting on Oct 9th, that means that i should be able to watch this one live if i want.

Tonight. Though I'm not really looking forward to it. Maybe it'll be funny.
It could take me a couple of days to get around to it.

Uh-oh. Forgot to tell the TiVo to record it. Also, it was Thursday night, not Friday.
Fortunately, the older TiVo works again and apparently did record it. I'll see that this weekend, hopefully before I see this week's episode.

No time. And now I'm up to three hours of shows I need to watch. I just said I was ahead of last week, but then that only considers Fox sitcoms.

I've only seen the first two as well. I like that they still have comedy, like Crane objecting to the Colonial Times restaurant.
Crane should be a citizen, considering he fought for the Colonies. The problem is he doesn't have paperwork, or if he did, no one would believe him.
Crane dated Betsy Ross! And she was quite a woman, the way this series depicts her.
Nothing looks familiar, and there's a good reason. While efforts are being made to provide incentives to companies making movies and TV series in North Carolina, this show has left our state. The archive room was the only thing left from the first two seasons, and I guess we aren't supposed to notice the difference. I guess there really wasn't one.
I still don't like the weird stuff.

I am enjoying the season and they do need a super villain so there will be a recurring story line. I am having trouble recognizing Pandora versus the nice lady Crane met because they both have dark hair. Of course I can recognize Pandora when she is dressed like a sorceress.
I was surprised that Crane went on sabbatical for six months and left Abby behind. Thank goodness he was back for the first episode or I would have been disappointed. I like the way they are possessive about their friendship when one or the other seems to like someone else.
I am glad they did not eliminate all of the supporting cast and that Abby's sister is back with her own quest.

I like how Crane is trying to save that historic building. He is absolutely right, of course. In New England I would think they care more about their historic buildings than some places like Charlotte and Myrtle Beach.
And I can't read the above post because I still haven't seen last week's. I may do another two hours tomorrow. I have waited in the past and done marathons, but I don't want to fill up either of my TiVos. And the old one may go out again, so it's best not to take chances.

Oh, about next week. I was looking at the TV listings and "Bones" has a couple of guest stars fans of this show may want to see.

Not me, but it does give me a way to watch for two hours again next week.
I like how Crane is trying to become a citizen and how he seems to like the girl who is helping him. And I liked his Patrick Henry speech. And his arguments while studying. I do wonder how it is possible without papers.
I liked seeing Crane at the dentist. Speaking of which, how does Betsy Ross have such nice teeth in the 18th century? Is Paul Revere really that good?
I liked seeing Crane talk to the kids. Somehow the Tooth Fairy episode wasn't as bad as most of them.

Thanks.
I expected Pandora to hang around, and it is a pleasant twist to have Betsy Ross around throughout the season.
I am glad the show runner realized they need to bring back the humor.

The article made it sound like "Bones" is a comedy and this show is not. While there is less comedy here, it's certainly not absent and the shows can fit together.
In the tabloid TV section of an area newspaper where I read this, there is a creepy photo of Crane that takes up most of the page. I didn't notice whether the same photo was in the online version.

"Bones" fans who read the other show was not a comedy might have been surprised.
On the other hand, I didn't find myself laughing at the "Bones" cast. I really enjoyed seeing our heroes there and all the jokes related specifically to them.
But I do not like Temperance or her know-it-all attitude. She's nothing like her cute sister. I found even less to like about Booth. I will not be back. And of course on this show, apparently the bodies are much more disgusting. Except for "Body of Proof" which to me was much funnier, I avoided the shows with the graphic depictions of dead bodies. But that show may not have been as bad as the "CSI" shows or "Criminal Minds".
I know, I know. We're supposed to believe in ghosts and demons. But if they really had only one day to save the town, how did they manage to drive all the way to Washington, make an amazing archaeological discovery, and then make it all the way back in time to use their knowledge to protect the town?
And how did the "Bones" cast construct a head with no skull?

I knew it was a crossover, but I did not even think about recording Bones. When I tuned in to Sleepy Hollow, I grimaced because I had to wait and watch Bones on demand first. I agree with you. I have never thought Bones was amusing. My daughter has been trying for years to get me to watch it, but none of the episodes held my interest. The only time I laughed at them was when Booth shot the key panel. I was glad it was not booby trapped.
I absolutely love the stately bow Ichabod made to the lady he likes. I am enjoying this season very much.

Well, I did not find time for a marathon, so it will be a longer marathon when I get to do it.
Besides, I seem to have lost the first episode from TiVo no. 2. Now I can only hope it's still on TiVo no. 1. I'll check tonight and save it if it's there.

Sleepy Hollow has added characters that are playing a significant role and taking up screen time. I am not sure how I feel about them yet.
Pandora and her love (he who shall not be mentioned) are creating havoc in Abby and Jenny's lives. They have the "eye" that holds the god's power and he is furious. There was little humor during several episodes because they were constantly in danger, but now they seem back on track.
I still enjoy the show and unlike some of the shows that I watch, it does not make me nervous.

I haven't gotten around to watching any, but I'd better do it soon. I forgot to make sure the last one wouldn't get deleted from my oldest TiVo. It did, and that was to record something I didn't even need! So I may have to watch one tonight, or at least save last week's so it doesn't get deleted. I don't know what's getting deleted to record new programs on my newest TiVo but something is. I did notice I have fewer "Hot in Cleveland' episodes.
I probably won't watch tonight. I'll wait until March when I have less to deal with (I hope). I'd rather watch when I can do a marathon.

I'd better preserve tonight's episode tonight. Meanwhile, I'm stuck with two episodes on my newest machine.
