I was a little annoyed at that mirror scene because it did not make sense. She needed to see their wings too. Same here. |

Deus Ex Machina (5-29-15) The messengers uncover a cyber scheme to kill thousands; Joshua learns he cannot escape his past.
I enjoyed this episode in spite of the angst about the potential Horseman’s mother. The new angel learned a harsh lesson that it is not easy to fool a person’s son. Her gift would not have saved her and, once again, Peter used his strength to rescue two members of the team.
Apparently Erin’s side effects can be remedied through medical attention. I wondered how she would be able to continue to use her healing gift if it was killing her in the process.
Joshua is tougher than I thought. He rejected his cheating wife, but forgave her enough to protect her from harm. He reported his father for abuse and his father was arrested. He had met his wife at an addiction recovery center. When she ran away from his father, she had started using drugs again. The last time we saw Joshua, he was staring at some of the pills in his hand. I told him to not take them and I hope he follows that advice.
I was hoping Alan would join the team because I really like him and he is very useful, being a brainiac and charismatic. Rose is now warming up to Alan and wanted to dance with him. I wanted to tell her that I saw him first.
The Devil took Vera’s pendant that held a sliver of the crater, but he did not hurt her. He also tried to form an alliance with Rose, but she was not interested.
The "Messengers" is going to heat up. The promos show the Devil losing his temper, spreading his dark wings, and glaring with venomous eyes. Finally!

In 2014, Diogo Morgado played Jesus in "Son of God" and in 2015, he is playing "The Man" a/k/a The Devil in "The Messengers".

I'm all caught up now... Just watched the last 2 episodes together.
Koi (i think that was what they said her name was) is certainly going to be trouble. For now, she seems to be getting along with everyone else but i still don't fully trust her. Also, she seems to be having a love/hate relationship with Raul which might complicate Erin/Raul.
Also, i like that Alan now knows what's going on. I can stand Vera a little bit more when Alan is around. Although we can tell he has feelings for her, it doesn't seem like she does for him. At least for now.
Oh, and i saw how low the ratings have been for this show... I'm trying not to get too attached.

I didn't like the episode very much, to many story lines going everywhere else other than what they are supposed to be doing.  |

Rose is a horseman? Sure didn't see THAT coming.  Raoul didn't act too surprised when he found out his "niece" was in fact, his daughter. The show was cancelled May 8th. I knew it wouldn't get a second season. |

So...the Horsemen depend on the Messengers to identify and lead them to the other Horsemen.
We saw Rose's white wings so I need to hear a good explanation for Rose's role in all of this.
It seems the game between Messengers and Horsemen is played time after time until what...? When the Horsemen win, is it game over?

When the Horsemen win, is it game over? Considering the ratings, i'm surprised the CW is still airing it. Guess it shows how much work the CW still has yet to do especially when it comes to their summer programming. My best explanation would be that one of Rose's abilities as a horsemen would be to disguise her wings or make everyone see something that really isn't there. The fact that she was in a coma for 7 years means that she had plenty of time to come up with a plan and dream about the opportunity for years before being able to act on it. I would have liked for the former messenger to tell them what the missing messengers powers are. But i have a feeling that it's really Amy, even more so when you factor the drawings and her birthday into the picture. Why they would decide to give a child that young powers like that is beyond me. |

After "Why We Fight" which aired on June 19, there are three more episodes. They are moving toward finding the Horeseman Famine, who is one of the Plowman brothers. It seems like the brother who created the special machine and ingredients would be the one capable of creating havoc. We now know the devil does not want the apocalypse to happen, but I think having him raise Joshua from the dead was ...I don't have words for it. Koa's gift causes her to lose memory of her past each time she shifts. Vera is in trouble. If she returns to her body, she could wind up in the crusher. If she does not return, will she cease to exist? Although the story is interesting and I like the characters, the show is not exciting at all. They are taking a break until July and then we will see this angel.  |

After "Why We Fight" which aired on June 19, there are three more episodes. We now know the devil does not want the apocalypse to happen, but I think having him raise Joshua from the dead was ...I don't have words for it. If i were Koa, i would be careful and only use my gift if it was completely necessary. If she continues to use it like she has been, it won't take long until she ends up with no memories at all. What a way to end the episode... Going by the distance that she was away from the car and the time it would take to get to it, she may be dead before she could return to her body. And with the way they took Alan and put him in another vehicle, i'm worried about him as well. Will he be able to escape and reach Vera in time or is someone else going to save her? Perhaps that new angel you hinted at? I know what you mean. It's like i watch it but something is missing... They waited too long to reveal the devil's powers, you are able to guess what happens before the show is over, and there's so many characters involved that sometimes it takes some time to figure out what's actually going on. |

I have been caught up for like the past week or so but haven't gotten to post. I'm glad they ended it how they did and had everything gift wrapped and tied in a bow. It may just be a one season show and a short one but i am happy with how it ended and how we didn't have any loose ends. What did everyone else think?
