The Flash did a good job of explaining the timeline variances. There is a strong, though strange, character we need to learn more about.
I remember some of the changes that they seem to be stuck with:
...1. CSI Julian is new to Barry and he does not like or trust Barry.
...2. Diggle’s baby is a boy named John instead of a girl named Sarah.
...3. Cisco is mourning his brother and is angry that Barry would not go back in time to prevent Dante’s death.
...4. Iris was mad at her father for not revealing her mother was alive.
...5. Alchemy has the power to recreate things that happened on a different timeline and has altered something at least four times, including The Rival.
...6. Caitlin has frost ability.
Joe made me laugh when he asked Barry if the cowl was cutting off all the oxygen to his brain.
I enjoyed the conversation Barry had with his father’s doppelganger and it seemed to convince Barry to stop messing with the timeline.
Barry had to tell some whoppers to get the whole team to sit down together and it was very awkward. It is good that Joe and Iris are speaking again, but Cisco is still unforgiving.
When Flash was fighting The Rival, he was in danger after Alchemy interfered. Fortunately, Cisco arrived on the scene and used his Vibe ability to help Flash defeat the Rival. I really liked them alternating the speed punch and vibe strike. That was nice.
After two kisses were erased by alternating timelines, Barry and Iris kissed again and maybe this one will not be erased.

That was exciting and everyone was a little different. Ramon and Caitlin were still super intelligent, but had different occupations. I have no idea why Det. West was drinking so heavily. Four speedsters in one episode was very interesting, but I did not expect the black flash to be someone entirely new. I guess Det. West's bullet killed him. Even though Barry went back in time to change things, some things in the current time did not go back to normal. That is sad. Correction. That was not the Black Flash. "The Rival Flash first appeared in Flash Comics #104 (February 1949). He is Dr. Edward Clariss, a professor at the university attended by the Golden Age Flash, Jay Garrick. He believes he has recreated the formula that gives Garrick his speed, which he calls "Velocity 9."    |

I liked seeing Flash spend time with his father's doppelganger, even if it wasn't his father.
I liked seeing Cisco use his powers to save Barry.
The conversation with Felicity was fun. Plus she looks good.
I'm glad Iris made the decision she did.
The idea that the cast should just forget the past and focus on the future was something similar to what was said on both "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" and "New Girl" airing at the same time. The two shows had a crossover. Jake had spent six months in Witness Protection and decided not to focus on how his life would be different, and Jess wanted Schmidt not to take revenge on his high school classmates who had mistreated him.

I do not think there was a crossover on Supergirl, but Flash crossed over to "Arrow" to talk to Felicity.

Wells looks so proud of Jesse.
But what about Wally? I do not think Barry told anyone that Wally was a speedster in the other timeline.

An update on "Timeless": This won't happen to Barry, but the professor's parents never met. This made her sister disappear, but some research showed her father wasn't really her father. She didn't know.
