Good episode. The alien drink that would kill humans did not harm Supergirl, but she became drunk quickly. Mon-El did not seem affected though.
After the parasite drained Supergirl, I was shocked at the way she looked. I am glad the yellow sun (lamp) revived her.
There is something really off about the so-called Martian girl. She apologized to the sleeping J'Onzz before the transfusion started and according to the promos, it looks like her blood did something bad to J’Onzz.
Both Mon-El and the Guardian helped weaken the monster until Supergirl arrived with a solution. The Guardian had help from Winn Schott, “the man in the van” and I like that tag. I also like the way Winn stood up to James and told him he is not his assistant.
Poor Alex. The rejection by her friend crushed her and I am glad she had Kara to talk to.

Some people were dissatisfied because Dean Cain or someone else from Smallville was not given the role of Superman. Smallville is still loved by its fans. Well, Dean is already Kara and Alex's father. Wait, was Dean in "Smallville"? He was Clark/Superman in "Lois and Clark".  |

Most of the time, Supergirl has to fight aliens who are not much larger than humans, but that thing turned into a really huge monster. It took a lot of power to destroy it.

I liked seeing Kara drunk.
I liked how Kara reacted when Alex first came out. I didn't like the second scene where they talked about it and I really didn't like having to deal with Alex being upset over being rejected. I could do without this whole storyline.
I forgot to mention in the last episode Kara said she wore fake glasses. They're real for Melissa. If you look closely you can see they are prescription. And Kara doesn't look right without them.
Like Riggs and Murtaugh, someone has to pay for all the damage Supergirl does. This has never been brought up.
The Martian girl was refusing to donate blood and she must have had a good reason. I didn't notice anything happening after she did.
I agree about Mon-El using his powers to make money. Although he doesn't seem capable of anything else.

I thought Miss Martian's blood was going to make Hank attack Supergirl. The blood is affecting him, but not in that way. He is too angry to accept M'gann's explanation of her role in the camp. He hates all white Martian's for destroying his race.
Cadmus has been around for at least 15 years and have been plotting the elimination of all aliens. I was happy to see Dean Cain's name in the opening credits. He was a hero, as I expected him to be.
Mon'El has strength and speed, but he can be injured by a lead bullet. That sucks. He needs protective gear if he is going to help Kara.
It was a good episode.
