Tonight's episode was good. I love how Mike was able to get through to Vanessa at the end concerning her smoking habit.

I didn't know Vanessa was ever a smoker. And I'm a week behind.
I was glad to see Eve return for Mandy's shower. Mandy's dress was so pretty.
I enjoyed watching the guys get together at Ryan's place for the game. Naturally, I always hope Mike will get what he wants to. I was glad to see Kyle stand up to Mike, but things should really stay the way they are.
There's a Ryan type character on "Black-ish". I hope he's not going to be around long. He's one of these tree hugger/agnostic types and Rainbow's brother. Rainbow grew up a hippie and this guy is still one, even though Rainbow is a surgeon and working for The Man. The older daughter was doubting whether there was a God and he was supporting her belief. Naturally, her father blamed his influence.

If I can remember tonight, I will tape this show on the older TiVo. But I'm doing that only to see if I can the antenna to work properly.

I did forget to record on the older TiVo. But when I saw Mike would be Trump I just had to watch. It was a very good episode with everyone insulting each other. Everyone did such a good job of being the other person. I got so confused because they were all so convincing. Although Mandy is so pretty that she still looks pretty when trying to look frumpy. She has such a nice smile.
I liked how Mike was going to get his way because everyone hated the party. I also liked the jokes about multiple uses of "party". But Vanessa losing her job was so terrible. Apparently that's related to something I missed. And everyone managed to say something nice about the person they were pretending to be.
Meanwhile, I continue to despise Rainbow's brother on "Black-ish". At least Ryan is sort of appealing like Meathead.

I finally saw the episode where Vanessa smoked.
I liked that Ed smoked Pall Malls. I used to live near a town where there were big Pall Mall water towers. Actually, they were repainted since they said "Lucky Strike" when I first moved there.
I understand about the strike now. I liked how Mike wanted his wife, the scientist, to comment on the situation.
That other teacher was gorgeous.
I know Ryan was in it but I can't remember what he did.
Whether I watch tonight's episode before next time I can't say. I might watch the older one.

It turns out Kyle really was bothered by the absence of his mother. Good for Ryan giving Boyd a gun. I was afraid Kyle taught the safety class, but we didn't see it. And good for Boyd being considerate of his father and not shooting. |

Last night's episode was really good. I get what Mike was trying to teach Eve, but what he didn't seem to consider was the possibility of Eve's Habitat For Humanity involvement leading to a real job. If she does well at building them homes, she could eventually score herself a job in the construction field.

I was surprised Eve would be interested in a charity. But even conservatives can support charities because it means government isn't giving the people handouts. She eventually gave Mike an answer he could live with.
I liked how Kyle was able to trade up and get Mandy a car, but I was expecting a lemon, considering what he started with. Poor Ed.
I've encountered yet another Ryan type character.
