I think Claire went in the locker room because she was looking for Shaun. People would have seen how upset Shaun was and Claire was the likely peer to try to help him.

I enjoyed the episode and I am glad it did not end on a cliffhanger. When Shaun was in the bar and tried to talk to a stranger, the stranger became irritated. When he approached Shaun, he walked with an unusual gait and was hostile. He struck Shaun, then lost his balance and his head struck the floor. It seemed he was intoxicated but his test results indicated he was not. When Shaun was questioned at the hospital, his response was deceptive. It was not clear to me if Shaun thought he would be in trouble or if he was protecting the man.
Later, when Shaun visited the patient in the hospital, he visualized the underlying cause for Zack’s illness. Shaun said something like “trampoline” and passed out. Claire kept trying to interpret what Shaun meant and she did finally come up with the answer. I liked the way she channeled Shaun.
The episode was part love story:
Dr. Lim and Dr. Hernandez provided some amusement when they were kissing in front of everyone in the ER. This time, when a position became available, they did not compete with each other.
Glassy wooed his lady friend and proposed marriage.
Shaun brought flowers and chocolates home, asked Lea if he looked nice, then left. I thought the flowers were for Lea, but they were not. He went to the Pathologist’s home and what happened next was very funny.

I was so glad things worked out for Shaun. I was not expecting it to happen that way. But at least we're rid of Dr. Han. But given how he got the review board to back off, it was justified.
And now Dr. Lim will be his boss and you know she'll support him.
I never expected Glassman to take that step. I was pleased he stood up for Shaun when the decision was being made.
I was expecting Shaun to take the next step with Lea but that was a surprise. Shaun's attempts at romance reminded me of J.J. on "Speechless". J.J. also has difficulties with relationships. A girl who liked him was scared it wouldn't work out and that J.J. would assume it was his disabilities. J.J. was willing to take that chance.
In the bar, Shaun seemed to be talking normally.
I was pleased Shaun tried to help the man who attacked him. I believed the word was not actually trampoline.

"The Bad Doctor".
Who exactly expects Jack on "Black-ish" to be like his mom? But that was good what they did.

Shaun still hasn't learned tact. In the clinic he called Glassman's patient boring.
And he got really mad about his date. It wasn't the disaster we were led to believe. And I was relieved about that.
Melendez was funny when he seemed to think Shaun wanted to remove organs and not put them back. Of COURSE he meant put them back. Without Shaun there would have been a very different outcome.
Glassman is back at the hospital!
Pack and Reznick fighting over who was in charge was funny but not right. It was sad what had to be done, but that man was going to be miserable finding out every day he had cancer and getting treatment that would make things worse.
I can't remember his name but he did take quite a risk with Shaun. Yes, that would make him damaged goods trying to get another job. Lim did the right thing.

I watched "Carol's Second Act" and Carol has something in common with Shaun. Although they call them interns on that show, it's the same idea. Carol doesn't fit in, but it's because she's old. They never say how old but she's retired from teaching. The actress is 61 but looks much younger. Also, she's incredibly perky. She does have special talents, though. She is better able to communicate with people than the other interns, and she is constantly breaking the rules to do the right thing.

Andrews admitted he was bitter about going to bat for Shaun and losing his job.
Shame on Reznick and Park for competing once again!
I'm glad Glassman explained to Shaun how he could have an enjoyable date that wasn't a date.
Once again, Shaun saved the day.
It always bothers me when those alarms go off. The situation will not necessarily be resolved in a positive way.
Carol reminded me of Shaun once again, except she's sneakier. She managed to keep a woman from being discharged and did a test. Unlike Shaun, she did it for nothing and cost the hospital money (I'm sure). But when the woman needed her pills, Carol discovered how many she was taking because she was not able to see the same doctor every time.
Abishola doesn't have hobbies. She's Nigerian. I'm thinking Shaun also won't do anything without a purpose.

I enjoyed seeing Claire finally do her first surgery. It almost didn't happen. I assume the professional way they started was based on how it's really done.
Melendez was supportive when she made a mistake.
That poor girl and her demanding mother.
Shaun is still saying the wrong things. His girlfriend didn't appreciate Claire giving advice.
Reznick and Park are nothing compared to the cast of "Carol's Second Act"!
I saw two gall bladders removed this week. The surgeon who did the other surgery threw it to Abishola and said, "Hot potato!"

This show has never used the term "zebra". I'm surprised. I heard it on "Carol's Second Act" and then again in comments on a comic strip.
The other doctors wanted so badly to be a part of the zebra case, not considering that's a human being. Reznick and Park have behaved sort of like that.
But it turned out Carol had the zebra case and they didn't. Since when is Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever a rare disease no one can diagnose? Those people aren't even trying to be accurate.

After I turned off the computer last week I realized I hadn't posted here.
Freddie is twins in a movie I'll be watching next weekend. He'll be younger.
Abishola was criticized for telling a doctor that the drug he prescribed would interact with another drug the patient was taking. Now, one reason was doing it in front of the patient, but he had to be told. Has anything like that happened on this show?
I wasn't clear on whether Claire told anyone about her mother until she took the ashes out of the car in front of Reznick. Reznick seemed to already know, but there were a couple of times earlier where it seemed they didn't know.
Naturally Shaun would be best man for Glassman! His fiancée was somewhat unreasonable but Shaun had valid points. Everything worked out.
I just had to see who was in the credits and although I avoid it, Shaun has his first surgery … OR HIS LAST … tonight.
And now I can't remember anything else that happened in the episode. I was determined not to be here so late and it happened again.

Shaun didn't handle the situation very well, but he had the patient's best interests in mind. He knew she could continue to eat but knew he couldn't handle doing that part of the surgery himself. The others were so patient with him. Lim handled the situation well but I know Park wasn't happy. And Shaun still hasn't had his first surgery.
Shaun and his girlfriend are doing well.
Glassman's attitude about guns is understandable. So is his wife's. I don't know what the solution is.
Now I get it. Reznick was keeping Claire's secret about her mom.
Claire had the confidence that man was telling the truth and because of her persistence the man's problem was treated.
Here's something they've never done on this show and I wonder if they would. On "Carol's Second Act", Carol (an intern, not yet a resident) was given the responsibility of spending the night at the hospital and treating all the patients already there by herself. I would assume the ER had a separate staff. She could call her supervisor if needed, but the supervisor persuaded her not to. In at least one case she was tempted. Fortunately, the attending physician hadn't left and Carol cheated. Then she got a "zebra" case and the supervisor said she would have killed the patient if she had followed the recommended treatment. Carol was suspicious and knew she had to call, and she was told she did the right thing.
On this show, the residents are competing to become the chief resident, which on "Saving Hope" meant teaching the newcomers. I don't recall a "chief resident" here but I think that's the title of the person in charge on the other show. And that implies newcomers.
I can't see Shaun being given the total responsibility the way Carol was. Maybe Carol's hospital was smaller.

I saw the movie. Freddie plays two very different roles. The nerdy brother dresses like Shaun and even has his hairstyle. The other brother played a much bigger role. Ironically, he was the one who got involved in a "Chronicles of Narnia" type situation which put everyone's lives in danger. He was charged with protecting a valuable book from an ogre. But this brother was rebellious and had anger problems, and listened to his music. His hairstyle reminded me of The Beatles on Ed Sullivan. He didn't even look like Shaun. His brother often had that look on his face that Shaun does, but he rarely did.

Two ways I felt Shaun's situation should have been handled. At this point the writers have dug themselves a hole although they really got in trouble last season. Now the writers can keep Shaun from having another incident which will get him kicked out, but you know they won't do that.
In the OR, when the nurse refused to hand Shaun the instrument the correct way, he could have simply said, "Okay, I will take it this time but you should know how to do it right. I will talk to you later." That would have ended it (without the exciting moment I'm sure some fans enjoy, and a clip for the commercials). Then he could have shown up while the nurse was eating and started that detailed explanation which would have made her throw out her lunch and leave.
The other scenario would have been similar to what happened in the OR except Shaun would have shown up when the nurse was eating, sincerely apologized, and then started telling her all those details, leading to her throwing out her lunch and leaving.
I'm relieved Shaun's girlfriend had a good reason for not including him, but her reaction to Claire bothered me. Looking back at her being annoyed by Claire's concern, she reacted as she should have.
As the situation actually happened, I thought of Sheldon Cooper.
And Reznick covered for Claire. She is expecting something in exchange.
It was funny how Shaun had all the nurses in the rehearsal, but he really needed them. Lim is being very careful with him … and it's not enough.
Glassman is right not to want to work with his wife. They could be together too much. I am curious how he took that bee out of the man's eye. It surely wasn't the actor's hand.
The woman was determined to save the baby even if she died. I wish women wouldn't do that. It's hard enough getting pro-life people to see the case for abortion to save the mother's life. One woman's choice doesn't make it right for everyone. And this was a case where it was justified, though saving the baby even if it was premature might have been the way to go. The end result for the baby was the same.

I liked how Reznick and Claire took the kid out to the baseball game. And almost liked it when he wanted to do one more thing. I'm so glad Reznick did that one final thing.
Melendez is still bothered by the patient he lost and he thinks it's because he and Lim are dating. And it almost kept the girl from getting her cure. But Shaun was there.
I'm so glad Glassman and his wife settled their differences.
Shaun's relationship still has its problems but he has someone to help him. He looked "normal" when he tried to imitate the emoji.

3.2 Debts (9-30-19): This was the type of episode I like for "The Good Doctor". Although it took a while and at times seemed hopeless, Shaun finally realized a solution that would help the hero who was injured. That is always my favorite part of the show.
Everyone gave Shaun advice that love is worth taking a chance on dating even when it is uncomfortable. Shaun brought a bag of chips to the Pathologist's lab and shared them with her. That was cute.

3.3 Claire (10-7-19) Claire was very nervous about performing her first surgery. Dr. Lin gave her some good advice to not admit it publicly. It was so cute when Claire took a selfie of her name on the sign on the operating room. Surgery was a success and Claire was happy and excited; she was jumping around and quietly cheering. Then…tragedy struck.
I guess they wanted to inject some humor. A patient was injured when the bill of his prize fish stuck into his leg. Everyone was startled when the fish’s tail started moving. The man wanted the fish preserved so he could mount it on a wall. When they tried to scan the man with the fish still attached to his leg, stuff exploded from the side of the fish. That was a big mess and very dangerous.
Shaun is getting along well with his lady friend and the friend told Claire o butt out because they did not need her to run interference in their relationship.

3.5 First Case, Second Base (10-21-19) Dr. Lim assigned a surgery to Shaun and he was thrilled. The case was the same type of cancer I had ten years ago so I was familiar with the procedure. When they started the operation, Shaun saw there was an alternative to the procedure, but he was unable to clearly communicate that. He walked out of the O.R. Shaun’s diagnosis was excellent, but he handled the situation poorly.
I liked seeing Shaun’s brother appear for moral support.
Claire was abrasive when she talked to the patient’s wife, and she was wrong about the alcohol consumption. That was not a surprise to me.

3.6 “45-Degree Angle” (11-4-19) Shaun was the lead doctor during surgery. Dr. Lim provided extra practice for Shaun so he would do a good job communicating with the surgical team. One thing did not go as Shaun wanted. Instead of explaining to the nurse what he wanted, he lectured her and sent her from the O.R. Dr. Lim told Shaun to apologize. Instead of apologizing, he gave the nurse a history lesson. After she filed a complaint, Dr. Lim was very stern with Shaun, told him he screwed up, and insisted he apologize. I did not see him apologize to the nurse.
I like Shaun’s girlfriend, but I am baffled that she wants to be with him. He is a lot of work, but he did apologize to her.

3.7 SFAD (11-11-19) Spontaneous family adventure day sounds like a fun thing to do. Sad that it stopped when the boy received a diagnosis of cancer. I understood the boy wanting to have some fun before his vision was gone. I was surprised at how easily Morgan agreed to his requests, especially when she let him drive the car. Claire was frustrated, but Morgan did not care. I thought it was funny and sweet when Morgan flashed the kid before he left for surgery.
The girl who had immune deficiency must have been older than I thought because she gave consent to procedures without conferring with family. Alex was determined to use a procedure that would let her live a normal life. Although the surgery appeared to be successful, I did not think she should walk out of the tent without the doctor’s knowledge.
Aaron and Debbie have a lot of conflict because they do not want the same thing, but they will work it out. I do not like the way she talks to him.
Shaun and Carly are ready to take their relationship to the next level. I am not interested, but the next episode will focus on that.
If they show Claire sitting alone in a lounge again, they are going to ruin the show for me. That is very disturbing because it implies she will continue to have one-night partners.
Lea does not have a large part in the episodes, but I like her still being there to support Shaun.

I wish Sheldon and Amy had done what Shaun and Carly did when the time came.
I'm getting tired of Lim and Melendez. What is this, "Grey's Anatomy"? I liked how Glassman handled it.
I was pleased Melendez was able to come up with the miracle solution. Usually that's Shaun's job. And earlier he had been afraid to take risks.
I feel bad for Reznick having to go through this because she's so competitive. Meanwhile, Claire isn't behaving like she ought to.

I have conflicting reactions to the episode. The medical cases were interesting, but the doctors acted in an illogical or unbelievable manner. Dr. Reznick’s harsh comments to the patient and husband were inappropriate. She also shared a very personal experience that had no relevance to the couple’s situation because there was no reason to think either one of them would cheat.
Dr. Brown should have made up some excuse to recuse herself from treating the man she slept with. She should not have given the wife any advice about her marriage. The slap was a shock, and I wondered why that bozo would tell his wife about Dr. Browne. Melendez appeared sympathetic and I hope he helps Dr. Browne return to normal.
I liked very much Dr. Lever’s response to Dr. Reznick’s blunt comments.
I do not think Shaun gave a reason for his last failed attempt at intimacy, except to say the cause was not the tattoo.
I thought Shaun’s parents had passed away because he does not talk about his mother.

I have been watching episodes of cancelled shows. In each case, once I have watched the episode, that means I will never again watch a new episode of the series. Some series are syndicated meaning there is a chance to see more. "Telenovela" is not one of them. The episode was really good. Eva Longoria played the main character and her ex was dating again. When I saw the girl looked familiar, I looked her up and it was Reznick. She was a nurse. And she threw her new boyfriend out because he wasn't over her ex, and it didn't help that Eva's character borrowed a car to go over to the girl's house and crashed through the fence and ran over the garden gnomes. She was nicer than Reznick until all that happened.
I wondered how Claire could treat a patient after what happened. And I was so worried her delay in getting to him when his leg was cold was going to have a terrible outcome. When his wife walked toward Claire, I correctly predicted the slap would happen. I was pleased Melendez went to be with her. It's about time someone used the stairs instead of the elevator.
Shaun's behavior was pretty much what I would have expected. Carly is very patient with him. Reznick's comment indicates she cares about him, so it surprised me to see Carly's reaction, but then Carly is bothered by people meddling in her business anyway. Reznick looked she was wondering if Carly was right, but i don't believe she was. Later, Shaun was trying but I just don't think he's going to have an easy time with this. I liked how Glassman handled things. His wife gave the Shaun the push he needed but Glassman can still be there for him at times.
As for Reznick's case, I am uncomfortable making the comments that would be necessary. Let me just say that the advice that staying together can involve other things was good for them. And that Reznick shouldn't have said what she did. There's such a thing as too much information.
And once again Lim and Melendez had an awkward moment.

There were some unexpected reactions in the episode. Glassman is a very good friend to Shaun, but I was surprised he went on the trip. I am glad Lea went even though it was not likely to be fun. I knew Lea was teasing Shaun when she did not immediately come to the surface of the lake.
Shaun’s father sounded genuinely sorry when he apologized and I was stunned when he later became hostile. His accusation was cruel. I am inclined to think that was his true character rather than the morphine, but the morphine reduced his ability to choose his words carefully. The effect on Shaun was heartbreaking.
Shaun was comfortable with Lea holding him.
Claire tricked me. I thought she was calling the guy back, but she made a date with her therapist.
