That is a nice fact. When this forum started, I met a lot of people I never encountered on The CW forum, including Kyle, Flash Fan, Chloe, AVP, Mister Moonlight, Jeff, Mercury Theatre and Gilmore Fan Always. What about me? I can't remember now if I ever encountered you on The CW forum. A thousand apologies. That was a huge oversight. Original post has been edited.

I'm not sure where to post this. The thread where I thought it would be appropriate was locked.
This is really for those of you who are staff. And this site is nothing like Wikipedia where there are thousands and thousands of edits every day. On Wikipedia everyone is a moderator, but the newcomers who either break the rules or innocent mess up probably shouldn't even attempt such a thing, and when they do, the veterans often go after them and they might get a polite reprimand or a genuine warning, depending on the degree of the offense.
I am not staff on Wikipedia (just a volunteer) but occasionally do what moderators do here.
But Wikipedia does have administrators and people even higher up, also volunteers, but with more powers. And here is a quote from the newsletter from one of them.
"We are just glorified teacher's assistants with mops, and no teacher, so don't seek it unless your goal is to fix things and help people. It can be rewarding, but it is also a huge pain sometimes. There is no glory in the job, so make sure your reasons for wanting it are worth it. If in doubt, don't."

I have no doubt you have a reason for directing this to the staff, but you do not state it. In the absence of a stated reason, my interpretation is that you think some member(s) of the staff should not have accepted the position. Is that correct?

True, this site has only a few members and few discipline problems. But the CW site moderators might have really understood.
