Clinical Trial and Error
SEASON 1, EPISODE 3 • NEW 3/21/18, 9:00 PM ON WNUVDT 54 • TV-PG • STEREO • CC
In her new role as patient advocate, Stella suggests Sadie try the clinical trial that worked for her; one of Diego's kids gets sick while Wes is baby-sitting; Aiden pushes his father to have a night out. I finally got the courage to watch this again. Stella is so cute. And she looked hot in that dress. This was the episode where she and the doctor were going to try to get that trial started again. The benefactor wouldn't do it because the FDA wanted better results. Stella was the only one cured. Even if there wasn't as much comedy as I would have liked, there were scenes with Stella's husband taking care of the kids, and I liked seeing Stella with her friend with cancer. And I guess Stella's father was funny but I wasn't enjoying him any more than I did. Seeing his date and Aiden at the end was enjoyable.

Courtesy of TV Line: "The CW’s low-rated freshman series Life Sentence will air on Fridays beginning April 27th at 9 p.m. ET/PT." There's an episode missing. I think I've seen two. Maybe I've seen the one that doesn't have a description here. I was enjoying it when Stella wanted to pretend she and Wes were in Paris and spend the entire time naked. I was disappointed when she had to put clothes on and live her normal life again. Wes' former fiancée showed up because she had a job in this country, and while she didn't say it at first, she saw Wes and Stella together in Paris. I just don't like how miserable all this is making Stella, although it was fun for a while. I was enjoying seeing Aiden's father with Lauren but then his mom had to go and tell his dad what he did and that messed everything up. I was hoping Stella would be able to get her GED and her promotion. Her boss is funny in a way. I really hope things work out for Sadie.

I was really enjoying the latest episode. Things seemed to be working out for Sadie. And Stella found a hot doctor for the man she had a crush on. And Aiden found a job.
But then Aiden just had to give in and sell those drugs. Now things are going downhill fast. Plus I'm not confident Stella and Wes are going to solve their problems.
At least Stella's mom has found a purpose.

I didn't think it was possible, but it looks like things won't be so bad for Aiden. We'll never get to see him truly be free, though.
I really liked the scene with Aiden and Stella in the hospital. She really looked scared.
I liked how Stella was so determined to get her job back and did.

As hard as Stella tries to stay away from the doctor, she has to take a road trip with him. Sadie didn't want to go (or said she didn't) without Stella.
I sure was happy to hear Sadie could get into the trial, but she worried me there for a minute when she didn't think the side effects were worth it. You can hardly blame her when there is only a 5 percent chance.
I was relieved Stella's brother-in-law did the responsible thing after he intentionally hurt the other kid's father. Because the father said there's no way someone like him could have put him in the hospital. But they had me worried. If the kid is really upset about being bullied, the parents of the other kid ought to take some action instead of behaving like that.
Things don't look with Wes. Stella doesn't want to move. And now Wes could have the job of his dreams--where Pippa is.
That close to Seattle, how could they ever see that many stars? I did see clouds the second time.
I'm confused. Stella met Wes before the trial that saved her life? I was remembering that she had been through the trial and was waiting to find out if it worked.

Aiden likes his boss. And she won't go out with him.
Although he seems to have come up with a solution.
So Wes can live where they live and have a job in San Francisco. Except for a while he will have to live in San Francisco. And that means with the show being cancelled, we'll never see him living back where Stella lives.
I felt so bad for Stella. First she and Wes are excited about being pregnant and then she finds out she likely can't have children. I figured something about her cancer would cause that to be the case. And it has really caused problems with the relationship.
I have to admit Stella's mom was funny trying to start a relationship with Diego's boss. This is a case where the humor wouldn't be possible without her being a lesbian or at least AC/DC.

I'm not sure how many episodes I have seen since I last posted. Aiden is so excited about his new bar but Wes knows they can't afford everything he wants. Aiden doesn't care. That bar will go under. Although it is quite popular. Maybe Pippa will help. But Stella (or is it Wes?) doesn't want Pippa involved.
Stella and Wes were so cute in their counseling sessions. Okay, Stella is cute. Wes isn't. But they're making progress. But you don't quit because you do.
So Stella's dad can't get a divorce because her mom wants to go back to college. Interesting. Marge showed her artistic abilities on a "Simpsons" episode I saw in the same weekend I saw the episode of this show.

Yay! Jeff's back!
I'm inclined to agree. I didn't think this was going to be worth seeing and it has gotten much better.

I do see why the network canned this show, there were no leads in the show that anyone knew about.

I have one episode left and since it's the last one I intend to wait as long as possible. This show joins the many, many others I have one episode left to watch. No wonder all three TiVos keep filling up.
I feel bad that Stella's father had that health problem and that the doctor got in trouble for recommending that they go through with the risky procedure. I had a similar choice to make. I could have had a hip replacement which would have been more complicate. Now I'm told I need one anyway.
And Stella's marriage is still in trouble. Aiden really needs Pippa's help and Pippa is admitting she's not over Wes.

As I continue to watch final episodes of cancelled shows (not all of them finales, but whatever episode I haven't watched) I saw this one. Lots of comedy and lots of really sad moments, and I liked the flashbacks.
The Obama reference made me take a good look at Wes. Just based on appearance he could play the role.
With this being a series finale, all the storylines had to have a conclusion. If the series had been renewed, at least there were no cliffhangers. I didn't like some of the endings, and they weren't happy endings necessarily, but in a way they were.
But the ending with the bar I liked a lot.
I had hoped Stella and Wes could stay together.
