They're really making a big deal about this. I hope it pays off.
I'm hoping David ended up being a scientist, or that there's some joke that references his other show.
Sarah Chalke has been on "Speechless" as another mother of a disabled child. The female star of the show ended up on a jury with her and at the start of the episode she was not happy to be on a jury with her nemesis. Then they both bonded over relief from taking care of a family. They actually took longer to arrive at a verdict so they didn't have to go back to their lives.

It'll be another week before I have the ratings for the entire week but I saw this online and checked on what the site I used had to say. tvaholics.blogspot.com/2018/03/final-broadcast-ratings-march-27-2018.html18.4 million viewers. And that was the largest audience for a sitcom in years. I would have thought "Big Bang Theory" would have done better, but I guess not. |

It was great. I won't pronounce it one of my top ten shows because they can't possibly keep doing it this well. So many of those jokes could only be done once to introduce the show, to give longtime viewers what they wanted.
I just knew Roseanne and Dan would be Trump supporters. I hadn't considered that Jackie would support Hillary, but I thought it was inappropriate for Roseanne to bring it up when she did. I was amazed to find out who Jackie actually voted for.
So Sarah Chalke wants Becky to be her surrogate. I liked how they commented how much they looked alike.
Darlene is taking care of her parents. Yeah, that works.
Darlene has a son who wears skirts. Now if it was plaid it could be a kilt. And the Grandfather Mountain Highland Games had a bunch of tough guys wearing kilts. You wouldn't insult them by calling them skirts. I guarantee it.
I was disappointed David wasn't on but I guess he'll show up eventually.
It was never explained why DJ has a black daughter but I have read he married a black girl.

"The Middle" is a similar show. They're not quite as poor and they're not trash. Okay, maybe they are. But Frankie is cuter than Roseanne. The real trash is Brooke Shields and her evil boys.
Anyway, "Roseanne" is now that show's lead-in. They're good together.
