15.08 :: I liked this one mostly. I liked seeing Donatello again, he cracks me up, the way he ran from the bunker was hilarious. Who doubted we would see Rowena again? not me, I figured we would, always good to see her and see how she has become very important to the story ( we may not see it yet, but I bet it is coming, JMO) Eileen is likable enough and it is cute seeing her and Sam together, but anytime there is a female character onscreen I worry about them. Yea she can take care of herself, but I still worry. This stuff between Cas and Dean is old, find a way to fix it and move on. These guys need all the allies they can get now, going up against God. Michael/Adam aka Jake abel-it was good to see him again, he did a great job of playing the 2 characters. I think we will see him again before the end of the season, of which we only have 12 more episodes.

Anti and So Cal, How do you think this last season is going? Do you like it?, or think it is bad?
I like some of it, but some of the things that are happening are just awful ( equalizer gun ) I have liked seeing Rowena return and Michael/Adam and want to see Jack come back!

I am enjoying the season but I have not felt chatty. I appreciate some of the characters like Adam getting closure. I think it makes sense that Rowena survived and prospered in hell because she was the most powerful and clever witch in the series. She always had a Plan B, like protecting her spells and potions from everyone except Sam.
A part of me wishes John had returned closer to the end of the series, but I will not be greedy.
I guess there is a debate about whether the guys should die in the end, wind up in relationships, or ride the Impala down the road and leave us guessing. I do not want to see them die unless they wind up in heaven reunited with their family and friends.

I agree, I don't want them to die unless they get to be with family either.

I'm sure we have all seen the trailer with Jensen's cover tune, but it is worth watching again.

What an emotional episode! I was very interested in everything that was happening between Chuck and Sam as well as Dean and Cas. Chuck explained he used Eileen to get to Sam because he could not “see” him to know what the boys were doing. It was amusing to see Chuck is squeamish about inflicting pain up close and personal, but it was cruel to use Eileen to torture Sam. Meanwhile, Cas had to persuade Dean to go to Purgatory before trying to rescue Sam from Chuck. When they captured someone who could lead them to the blossom, I was glad Dean asked about Benny. Benny was a devoted friend. Eve’s name also was mentioned when the Leviathan trapped Cas. I became emotional when Dean sent out a prayer to Cas and confessed his issues with anger. I do not recall him opening up to anyone like that. He said of course he forgives Cas and called Cas his best friend. He also admitted he was wrong to not stop Cas from leaving. That was a beautiful scene and the hug made it even better. If Chuck dies, we can say goodbye to Claire, Cas, Donna and her girls, Eileen, Jody, Sam and Dean. And, of course, Bobby would soon follow. When Sam refused to destroy the globe, at first, I was disappointed and a wee bit frustrated. But then it dawned on me that I do not really want Chuck to die. Perhaps talking to Cas about his anger issues helped Dean to not lash out at Sam. I know I was glad Dean and Cas handled that so well.

Hi Anti , I liked this one, though I liked the Dean and Cas part better than Sam and Eileen. Don't get me wrong I love Sam and like Eileen and I find it interesting to see what could develop between the two, but this evil Chuck storyline is bothering me. It is because I just don't see how God could be this petty and childish, not after seeing how he helped the guys off and on over the years and in S11 when he worked with everyone, that is the character I like, I don't like this version, it has ruined the character for me. However I did fid it interesting he couldn't or wouldn't cut Sam himself, was he squeamish as you said, or could he not touch him because of the God wound? It was good to have Dean ask about Benny, it would have been nice to see Benny. I liked seeing Cas and Dean have a real conversation about the bitterness between them and loved Dean's prayer and the hug. But I was scared when Cas showed up after being around Leviathans, I was wondering if he was one, but we saw blood on his face and he cut his hand for the spell it was red blood. I HOPE it is the REAL CAS, I can't take it if it isn't. As much as I would have like seeing Cas have the Mark, I was glad in the end he didn't get it, though I still think Chuck showed God what he wanted to. this chuck lies. Though I thought I missed a part when they talked about the Mark, it was so sudden and random. I was actually happy Eileen left cause I was scared for her if she would have stayed. Anti, I remember a couple of times Dean broke down and talked about what was going on inside him, both times was with Sam. in S2 at the end of children shouldn't play with dead things, Dean pulls over and tells Sam how he is having a hard time with Dad being gone, and cries, and in S4 the episodes where Anna becomes an angel again, and in the episode where the family moves in and the guys think it is a ghost but it turns out to be a weird girl killing people. Dean and Sam talk at the end of both of those and Dean tells Sam about Hell and cries.

November, thanks for reminding me about the times Dean broke down. I remember those scenes clearly after you jogged my memory. I think I was especially grateful that he shared his feelings with Cas.
I hate the way Chuck has been in the final season. HBO did the same thing to the Queen of Dragons in "Game of Thrones". Even if you never watched the series, you have probably run across some of the fallout from turning someone we loved into a heartless person. But the CW has done it anyway with Chuck. I do not get the impression Chuck will be redeemed by the end of the season. Have you heard any rumors?

I appreciate the attempts at humor, but the episode seemed very different from what I am used to.
Dean looks good in whatever he is wearing and he looked good dancing. He is so smooth. (I applaud the way The CW is promoting Jensen's next career as an entertainer.) Of course, Garth looked good also.
Garth was the hero of the episode. I am glad his life turned out so well because in the beginning, he was used as a punchline to jokes. I had to laugh about him naming the babies Sam and Cas, but no "Dean".
I absolutely do not like the implication that the boys' skill has always been manipulated by Chuck and that they are weak without him. That diminishes them and their heroic acts. I give Chuck credit for resurrecting them and showing up to bail them out sometimes. But they were really heroes and I hope that is not taken away from them.
They were no match for Maul so I am glad Garth showed up to help them out.

15.09 Heroes, I agree Anti, that was an odd episode and I still haven't decided if I like it or not. I did really like the tap dancing and had read that Jensen had learned the routine in an hour, there is nothing that man can't do. I hated that supposedly their luck was from god, I don't buy into that, we fans have not put that much effort, time, money, emotion and our hearts into this show for 15 years to be told, or shown, oh it is just a lie. I am not buying it.

15.11 I liked this one much better, the guys didn't need luck so much, they used their talent and skill and showed their heart to make their luck turn around. even though they lost the last game , the God/monster whatever she was, let them and everyone else go, because after all they are heroes, the Winchesters, who even when they are down and have no luck, are still Heroes, in every aspect of the word, Those are the guys I want to still fight and win and save the world form all monsters.
I loved seeing Jack back he has always added something to the show, his presence brings out a more paternal side to the guys. I like it and him, though didn't need to see him eating hearts. GROSS I am still very interested in what happened in the empty, and would like to see the backstory on Death's plan, like what it is and how will it work and what will be the end result. I did notice Jack seemed sad, and very subdued, not like the happy , naïve innocent Jack we have seen before, that is why we need to see more behind what is going on.

I enjoyed seeing our four guys together again and working on a common cause. They closed one of the plot holes by rescuing the girl who was left for dead in the dark world. The reaper who was coerced into helping them met her fate at the hands of Death. Dean, Sam and Castiel looked understandably scared by Death's anger. Jack was stoic.
Death told Sam and Dean they are in the library book for God and have a role to play in eliminating God.
When God used that young man who was in the store and then sent a fire bomb his way clinches it for me. God is truly the Big Bad at the end of the story.
I am excited even though the ending will be delayed.

Hi, I got a little sidetracked by things that have been going on but have found my way back again.
I had t get a new cable box/DVR and lost all my saved episodes so I can't watch any of this season now. So this will be from memory.
Galaxy Brain was where they rescued Kaia, that was nice to see that plot get closed up and I love seeing all 4 guys work together. I have always liked seeing Jody but have been worried every time she shows up, cause I am afraid they are going to kill her off. I would have liked to see Alex, she is a good steady person to have around Jody, I am glad she found a home with Jody.
Destiny's Child- this is a favorite, I loved most of it, see RM again and just for a moment Cas thought she was Meg, it was interesting to see Ruby and Jo together, the more I see of Jo, the less I trust her. I loved seeing all 4 guys in the church and seeing a little of Jack's naivete when he just swallowed the little thing. Seeing Jack in the garden and what happened afterward especially in the bunker at the end was heartbreaking, I feel like they all felt something then and I wonder if the guys will forgive Jack?
Their mom has always had a mythical quality to them and they were devastated when she died the second time., I know we won't find out for a while but it would be interesting to know.

The CW has finally started showing SPN S15 again on Sunday nights at 9 ( C.S.T. my time) they evidently started last week with no promotion, so I missed the first week. also J2 have arrived in Vancouver to begin the 14 day quarantine process so soon they can begin filming the last 2 episodes. I also read a spoiler that Jensen said some of the last 2 episodes have been re-written due to the virus and that after it all airs, they will talk about what was changed.

Sorry, running late again. I like Last Holiday, the beginning of it was cute and it was nice to see the guys be pampered for just a little bit, it very seldom happens and it was nice to see Jack included in it. it was nice to see Sam go on a date, but I would have like to see or hear more about it, just a little bit. Dean being able to voice his thoughts to Jack about what he is feeling while they were trapped was interesting because Dean doesn't usually tell people unless it is a do or die situation. For him to say that would be growth for him, but with the series almost over, I feel like it is a little too late. But he did it and that is what counts. I know there is a lot of people who don't like jack but I like him he adds something special to the guys life, and he has really added to Cas, even though he has 3 dads, I feel Cas think of himself the main dad. Gimme Shelter- it was interesting to see how Dean eventually got someone to kind of see his point of view, he can be very convincing when he needs to be. The case Cas and Jack was on, was ok, not much movement there but they did save people and I feel like any interaction Jack gets with people is good. It was nice to see Dr. Sexy back LOL, I said that when he popped up on the screen. However the last 5 minutes with Cas and Jack, and then Cas and Dean, scared me because I am worried where this will take us and what can happen. there are certain things I don't want to see happen, but I feel they will. ( fun fact I saw on twitter where someone was able to post Jack's application to join the the church and Alex had actually filled it out, he had the birthday as 2017 and he lived in the Bunker lol)

I enjoyed both episodes. I have been busy with home repairs that I am doing alone and that is why I am too tired to elaborate on the episodes. But I agree it was nice to see the guys be pampered and Dean’s enthusiasm was adorable. I do not know why I thought Dean would actually say he forgave Jack, but he is still too bitter about Mary.
When Dean met with Amara, he sounded sincere when he told her he would never hurt her. I guess since it would not be him personally killing her, he was being honest. I no longer chat with fans and did not know some people do not like Jack. Jack is lovable and I adore him. I did not see the tweet that showed his application and it sounds cute.

Hi Anti , I also don't chat much these days, I seem to have a hard time concentrating on things these days. I have been doing stuff around my house too, since I am looking for a job. I like Jack too, he just brings out the paternal side of the guys, and it is interesting to me, being that the show only has 5 more episodes, it will probably be the only chance they will have to be a dad. It is sad to think about, even if it is just a TV show. I will miss SPN, I have been watching for 10 years now and have enjoyed the vast majority of it.

I feel the same way about missing the show. I am also watching the TNT episodes even though I have the DVD sets. I am sure that would seem silly to anyone who is not a fan of the show. But there is nothing else on during daytime that I want to watch.
Off topic: When it was announced that Jensen would be in “The Boys “ next season because Eric Kripke loves him, I streamed the first two seasons. It will be a very different role for Jensen, but I know he can handle it.
Any updates on plans for Misha? I hope his political rants don’t harm his career.

anti, there was a zoom meeting a couple of weeks ago with a lot of SPN actors and some political people ( mostly talking about how important to vote) and towards the end of it, Misha mentioned he was filming a movie for Amazon, but that was all i have seen about it. They kept crashing zoom because so many people were trying to be a part of it, it is on Youtube, it lasts about 90 minutes.
I watched Drag me away, it was ok, I will say I jumped in the first 5 minutes when something happened, i don't do that often. lol Always enjoy seeing Billie, but sometimes I wish she wasn't so cryptic. Seeing Dean and Sam keep secrets at this stage is odd, I thought they would have learned by now that never works out.
edit- I know this is completely random but there was one shot when someone was going down the steps to the basement, Dean I think, and the camera focused just for a bit on a discarded Penny Pluckywhistle doll lying on a shelf. I think i read an interview where they were going to start putting in little bits like that to tie the past and present together.

I bet we jumped at the same spot in the episode. When the hand in the vending machine grabbed the boy, I splashed coffee on myself, the furniture, and the floor. I was just about to take a sip. The episode reminded me a little of the monster episodes in the first two seasons. But I have gotten over being scared 😱.
I think they did a good job (without overdoing it) of revealing that Dean has always known fear. Dean admitted it to the lady. Of course, we knew that and admired his bravery
Seeing the boys defend themselves at a young age makes it difficult to see John as protecting the boys.
The original Death was not afraid of God and I wish he was still around to advise the boys.
