I did not realize that. Did you watch Firefly, the series? I think you would like her in that.

I think I watched a couple of episodes. I DO remember her in the 3rd Matrix movie. Thank you. I knew she looked familiar. I watched Matrix this past weekend and I remember her now.

Jasmine was the product of Connor and Cordy sleeping together. Now that you say it I remember. Wow, I'd never realized they were the same actress till now. I remember the character well on Angel.

Aeryn, I also started watching during S5 but didn't start paying attention to Cas right away until the very end of S5, ( No, I don't know why I didn't notice him earlier). After the S5 finale I went out and bought all 4 previous seasons and then had myself a marathon and caught up with everything.
Once I discovered Cas, I was like you Anti, I was hooked on this angel, someone who had a myriad of emotions, though they were subtle they were there. I was a fan of Angel, Buffy Lost and other shows, but i never became a fan of a show like I have become for SPN. Cas is my favorite, but I like Sam and Dean too, and I have high hopes for S8, I just hope Carver doesn't let us down.

November, we watched the same shows. I must admit that 'Lost' eventually lost me because it was too complicated, but I stuck with it. I tried to watch Supernatural starting with the Pilot, but it came on when I was ready to relax. There was nothing relaxing about S1; the episodes scared me. When I tried to watch Wendigo, I had my eyes covered during all of the good scenes. I tried again when I could watch during the afternoon and began to enjoy the series. No character had ever induced me to become a "fan" so I cannot explain why I was awestruck during Castiel's entrance in S4. I still remember I was mesmerized and more excited than I had ever been while watching TV. Years later, I never get tired of watching Castiel episodes over and over, so it was not a passing fancy. Of course, I love Dean and Sam and their allies too. That's why I suffered through all those scary moments so I could enjoy their drama. I am sure I have watched 'In My Time of Dying' over 30 times. I have never been one to critique a show. My review is usually limited to "I liked it." or "I loved it." or "It sucked!"

Anti and Aeryn, You guys pick out some excellent Cas moments and I love those too. Castiels's entrance is one of the best moments I have ever seen on a TV show, I like a lot of his S4 episodes, The Rapture (all of it), OTHOAP is one of my favorites, because you can see how torn he is in what he wants to do and what he is supposed to do. S5 I like all of his from this season, MBV PONR and how he helps Dean at the end of SS even with no powers , so sad. S6 he didn't have as many good episodes, but I love his scenes in Frontierland and in MD. MD is one of my favorites from S6 and of course TMWBK one of the best episodes of SPN IMO.

I wish I had a nice picture of the four of them approaching the diner in Mommy Dearest. TFW all the way! Comic-Con interview with Misha, Jim, Mark was well played and they did not try to tease us this time about Castiel and Crowley being back. Misha looked good in fighting form for his return. If anyone knows of any more videos, please let me know.

SPOILERS BELOW Good news for fans of Castiel But first, here's a very thoughtful viewpoint from Starshelle, quoted by permission. "My thoughts on the news of Misha being in 8 episodes this season: This time last year we only had Misha confirmed for 2 episodes for season 7. Then in December we got the announcement that he'd be in three more. This year our first announcement is for 8 episodes minimum, and so I think it's likely that these 8 episodes probably refer to the first part of the season. At this stage they wouldn't have planned out the second half of the season beyond a rough draft outline.
Last year for season 7, and I believe the same happened for season 6 as well, they wrote up to 13 episodes and then the writers took a break around the holidays. According to farnathi who followed the production closely, they looked at the fan reaction and retooled and wrote the next four episodes.
So if they're doing season 8 like they did season 7 and season 6, they are going to have a firm plan for the first 13 episodes, and then iron out the remaining episodes later. So chances are very good that those 8 episodes we got confirmed for Misha is going to be spread out among those first 13 episodes. That would give us 5 episodes without Castiel in the first half the season which is the same amount we got in season 5.
Also, it's worth pointing out again that Edlund made it quite clear that we'd be getting more of Castiel's story in the latter part of the season. In ALL the seasons we've had with Castiel we always got him more in the latter half of the season than we did in the first half. Even season 7 followed this pattern.
So in short, I'd be willing to bet good money that we're getting more than just 8 episodes of Castiel this season. I feel almost certain of it. All the signs are pointing that way.
I'll go as far to say I think they're having Misha be a recurring actor the same way Jim Beaver was because they want to milk the suspense of the purgatory storyline. By only confirming him for 8 episodes in the first part of the season, it will give the flashbacks some suspense and mystery because we'll be more uncertain of Castiel's fate. Note this is pure speculation on my part. They haven't said anything definite about his status yet, far as I know.
If Castiel is rescued or returns to the present day storyline as a part of the mid season finale, then we very well might get an announcement in December, like we did during season 7, about the reminder of the episodes that Misha will be in for the last part of the season.
So, all in all I think it's VERY good news and quite promising that Misha has been confirmed for 8 episodes so early on. Could we be totally off base and this all we get of Cas for the whole season? Maybe, but honestly looking at the past history and looking at all the information we've gotten so far, I'd consider that extremely unlikely."
This makes sense to me. Castiel is very popular and is always a topic of conversation between both fans and non-fans. He is very interesting in his many personalities - naive, bad-ass, humorous, loyal, BFF, angry, god-like, empathetic, rebellious, cloak-and-dagger, earnest, vengeful, contrite, enigmatic - Castiel, anything we want him to be.
Here's an excerpt from the interview: Last we saw Castiel (Misha Collins) on Supernatural he was high-tailing it out of Purgatory, leaving his buddy Dean (Jensen Ackles) behind to face down countless unknown monsters and creatures. But Collins himself didn't get too far-- we caught up with him at the network's parent company TCA party in Los Angeles to find out just when we'll see Castiel again and how he may be different yet again this season. "Cas is back!" Collins excitedly told us earlier tonight. "We're seeing him in flashback form first, and I think the Cas that we're seeing is more the Cas we got to know in season four and season five. He's a little bit more worldly, a little bit more weary, a little bit more worn than he was before." Collins shared that he was excited to get back to the basics of Cas in many ways but also to have him be a more mature version of the character than we have perhaps seen, adding a new layer for the actor who has already played quite a few versions of this guy. "Frankly, my impression this season is that all of the characters are more mature," Collins added. "It kind of makes sense. This show started now eight years ago, and you look at photos of Jared and Jensen eight years ago, and they look very baby-faced! The actors have matured, and so it makes sense that the characters have matured, too." Source: Full Article @ Examiner

Hi Anti , I have read all sorts if these articles over the past couple of days and I am very happy about Cas being back. I thought it was very telling that Mark P the CW president was the one to announce it. Not only does he really like SPN as evidenced by the new night, the promotion the show has seen, but now he is the one telling us about Cas, which leads me to believe that he must like the character some.

Aawww thanks Anti . I like it here. I will be happy for S8 to start, the preview we have been given looks good and I am interested in how things will play out with everyone involved. Poor Cas looks so lonely and sad and dirty, I hope he doesn't spend all season in Purgatory. He needs to get out to get some better clothes , those need to be burned.

Instead of "covered in bees", it was suggested Castiel wear this. Maybe without the hat?

SPOILER
More angels from a Garrison we have not seen. Hope that means Castiel has allies again.
The angels are coming back to Supernatural once again. According to TVLine, Amanda Tapping has landed the recurring role of Naomi for the show's upcoming eighth season, a new kind of angel. In addition, the show has also cast an Emmy-nominated star of the classic sitcom M*A*S*H for a guest role.
Tapping, who starred on Syfy's Stargate and Sanctuary, will play Naomi, a cool and mysterious, no-nonsense angel from a group we haven't seen before. The role will recur throughout season 8.
Supernatural also cast M*A*S*H vet Mike Farrell in a guest role for the eighth episode. He will play "an aging mentalist with a slippery grasp on reality," according to new showrummer Jeremy Carver.
Supernatural's eighth season begins Wednesday, October 3 at 9pm on the CW.

Watching 7.1 and Castiel is awesome in the multiple changes he went through - the avenging god, contrite Castiel who tried to make amends to Dean, and the crazy looking Leviathan. This episode had so much in it.

I like TFM, but I think it is kind of a toss up on my fave episodes. I like TR, PONR, FTBYAM, MD the Pilot, Faith, Night shifter, BUABS, Heart, and others, too many to name. I can find something in most episodes that just strikes me as an important yet subtle moment.
