I have to buy flavored water somewhere but I doubt I'll ever be able to get 200 points this month.
The restaurant at the former Texaco is closed. They seemed to have more people working there than getting food there. And there are two other restaurants plus five fast food places.

Tomorrow I will see some gas stations I haven't seen in a month. I still don't need to buy any gas and there's no way I'll be able to get enough points this month.

$1.74 Shell closest to where I live (a penny higher Thursday), former Texaco and BP. $1.75 Speedway not on Innes but that's usually the lowest except for Liberty which is usually a penny lower. Liberty was $1.67. A Sunoco where I think I've gotten gas before when it had a different name was $1.68, and I went ahead and filled up since I needed half a tank. The Citgo and former Citgo were $1.69.
I got soap! They only had one bottle last time I was there but the shelf was empty except for numerous bottles of my soap. Weird. It's the only kind of liquid soap I can use and only two chains sell it, and both have locations in that shopping center. The other store has the pumps but those run out quickly. The refill size lasts longer. But I could not get Bounty towels. I have a good supply of Bounty quality towels but they are choose-a-size. I mention all this because the grocery store where I got soap was across from the Sunoco, which I would not have seen if I wasn't going to that specific store.
I decided not to go to the store where I can get points.
It felt so good to have a day that seemed almost normal. I need to check next week to see if the library is open.

I didn't see either the Citgo or the former Citgo but the former Texaco was $1.84 even though Shell hasn't changed.

$1.78 former Texaco.
$1.79 Speedway not on Innes, BP, Citgo and former Citgo. And possibly Sunoco. I know it was at least close to that.
Also $1.79 Pure and $1.76 Kelly's.

The only change I have to report is $1.89 former Citgo.
I've been getting double BP points at the grocery store. I'm already over 100 and on pace to make 300 this month. It's just as well since I missed two months. Though when I told the cashier why, she asked if I did everything Roy Cooper told me to.
At the former Texaco the sign says, "Restaurant closed but we have donuts".

I didn't even get to 200 points before the Shell closest to where I live, BP, Speedway not on Innes and Citgo all went up to $2.04. The former Citgo, ironically, was only $1.99. The former Texaco was $1.94. I'm still over half a tank but hoping I can find gas cheaper once I get 200 points.
I might go to the mountains next week but the event I go for was postponed until August when it will be a one-day event. And there will be no libraries open, I'm told. Plus no restrooms where I spend most of my time unless the gift shop happens to be open. The inconvenience may be too much.

$1.99 former Texaco. The Shell closest to where I live had its sign turned off.
I only know this because of what is on the Food Thread.
And I'll have much more to report next week. Will I get 200 points to use at BP in time to use them?

Lots to report.
$1.99 former DB and former Kangaroo. On Thursday. The former Kangaroo was $1.95. Interesting discovery: I never thought about it but even though it is a Circle K, there's no mention of Easy Pay on their sign. That must be because the former Kangaroo is an Exxon. I will explain this in a minute.
$1.93 QM and BP. Now I know where I will get gas on the way home. Or maybe not. I haven't seen anyone else yet. Because of the virus, I had to get online in the morning, and I didn't know where I'd be able to eat without staying in my car and going through a drive-thru. They actually let me inside a restaurant I visited several times during the restrictions. I was there hoping to go to the library but that didn't work out either time. I needed an appointment. Anyway, the BP was next door.
$1.99 at the BP where I got gas last year when I went to the mountains. So I'm not going there. I might have gotten gas cheaper last year if i had known about the other BP.
$1.99 pretty much everywhere. A Speedway (not sure whether it was reported here as one, but it was a Wilco-Hess to begin with) was out of business.
$1.89 Valero. Out in the country! Near where I used to live.
$2.05 Sheetz. They advertise on a big sign you can see from the interstate. Not sure they want to brag about that price.
$1.87 Speedway. Okay, I'm not only getting milk for lunch (yeah, I waited) but I'm getting enough gas so I won't run out before I get back to that BP.
I can't remember most of the prices I saw but most places were $1.89 in the mountains. $1.92 (I think) at a Shell where I used to get breakfast on my last day. I almost got milk for supper one day but restrooms were closed for our safety. Okay, not going there. $1.79 if you pay with cash, and I think $1.89 for credit at the Shell where I got breakfast my first full day. It used to be cheaper at this place "with wash" and the price for that was the very large one, with a much smaller display for "without wash". My usual restaurant for breakfast was closed. I didn't look closely enough at the sign and someone who was outside said they opened for lunch.
I decided to get pancakes at a Shell where I found out they had them after the other Shell didn't have milk last year when I walked there to get breakfast. I got my muffin (I really wanted one) along with milk at the other place. I wish I had gotten breakfast there my first full day because the cafe was closed on Sunday. I wouldn't have known this but I went up a day later since my pastor was supposed to be ordained. No such service took place, of course, but I had planned to go those days. I needed enough gas to make it back to the BP so I got just enough. $1.89 there.
I got off the interstate because I hadn't found a place to eat. I was going to that Sheetz. Never found it. Most places were $1.99 but several were over $2.
My "low fuel" light came on. Will I make it? The car was starting to misbehave so I stopped the first place I could. A Circle K, $1.99 ($1.89 Easy Pay). I got $5 worth. Both those times getting $10 worth, that's how much I needed.
I filled up at that BP. Then I passed the former Kangaroo and realized it was a Circle K.

$2.49 near Biltmore House. This has never been explained. If you get off the interstate and that's what you see, you probably won't know any better. But jsut a little patience gets you something about 60 cents cheaper.
Back home, the former Texaco finally went up to $2.04 and the Shell wasn't showing anything.
The former Citgo was $2.01 and BP and Speedway not on Innes were $2.05. I didn't see Citgo but that changes next week as I can earn points again. I didn't try doing that this week because I was uncertain what I could do with them.

There was a forecast for rain Wednesday but it doesn't sound so bad now. Still, it might be better to go tomorrow. I won't buy anything where I earn points because that could be a problem. I'll go there the next time I go into town.
