$4.17 for the cheap stuff, and that's in the "lower rent" areas. $4.29 for the cheap stuff in the high rent district.
No cash discounts.
Crap.

Tomorrow I'm going where gas is usually cheaper than it is around here. I'd better fill up, because I'm not even sure I have enough gas to get to the first station (full service, where I get the car checked).
Wilco-Hess no on Innes was $3.96 Thursday morning, $3.93 Thursday afternoon and $3.89 yesterday. The former Texaco is down to $3.91. Both Citgos were $3.89 at one point though the one that used to have subs was $3.91 early in the day. That one was $3.89 last Thursday for some reason.

Out here in California where we pay some of the highest gas taxes in the country, the cheapest is at $4.19 per gallon.
Argggggggggggggggg!
Over $30.00 for a half tank of gas.

I paid $3.75 (not counting the full-service gas which was way over $4 but the car does need checking out), while Raceway was $3.69.
I didn't really enjoy my bologna sandwich all that much, but I do recall liking their ham sandwiches.

I only remember one of the stations I passed near where I live from early in the week. At that time the former Texaco was $3.87. Yesterday it was $3.78. Wilco-Hess not on Innes was $3.74 and I didn't see either Citgo.
On the way to the beach most places were $3.79 or close to that until I crossed the border, then gas was $3.59. At Wilco-Hess it was $3.49 but I didn't fill up, knowing I'd pass by on the way home. It was $3.47 when I did, but I figured I wouldn't see a price that low for a while. The woman I paid said on Monday that she hadn't seen me lately. And when I saw her yesterday, I said I'd see her next year. She seemed disappointed she'd have to wait that long. It's nice that people you see only once a year like that can remember you. The man at my motel in the mountains used to not see me any more than that. But he still remembered me. Lately he seems to be the only one working at his motel and I see him a lot more.
A couple of places were lower than $3.40. Some were on the wrong side of the road, and it's just simpler to stop once where I can get milk and a sandwich with lettuce and tomato.

Out here in California, where we already have some of the highest gas prices in the nation......due to taxes, our prices have spiked 20cents OVERNIGHT.
The cheap stuff is $4.45/gallon. Some gas stations have run out of the cheap stuff and have been selling premium at the lower price, but that's mostly CostCo. And some of them have run dry completely.
This is fucking nuts, dammit.
DRILL HERE..........DRILL NOW.

And Mike Huckabee pointed out that California can't import because of the regulations defining exactly what your gas must have.

Tiuesday, $3.59 Wilco-Hess not on Innes. The one Citgo I saw was $3.63, and the former Texaco was the same in the afternoon.
Yesterday, the new Shell was $3.64 and everyone else was between that and $3.69. I didn't notice the QT.

The former Texaco went up to $3.60, but Wilco-Hess not on Innes and both Citgos were $3.59, and the one that once had subs came down from $3.63 at lunchtime.
I stopped at QM since it was $3.54. Wilco-Hess on Innes was $3.53, Kangaroo $3.58, and the former DB $3.61.

Tuesday, Wilco-Hess not on Innes was $3.37 and the two Citgos $3.39. The former Texaco went down from $3.41 to $3.39. I think that's right.
Yesterday, despite Sandy, I paid $3.19 at QT. Usually in that town prices are higher. I was going to wait until I visited my aunt on Sunday because the cheapest prices are usually near where she lives, but I couldn't believe this and didn't want to miss out.
There was wide range of prices. Even by the interstate where it's usually higher, the price was $3.22. One place was STILL $3.45.
