85 yesterday after a low in the low 40s Saturday, but the forecast for next Sunday is for the lowest freezing temperature on record. After a high of only 60 on Saturday.
Tomorrow it rains.

38, tying a record, yesterday. And tomorrow morning is the first of two days when we could have the latest freezing temperature ever.
If that's not bad enough today it is raining.
There was severe weather earlier in the week, but to the south. Still far enough north that programming was interrupted, but not anything I was watching.

It was 47 today and cold enough for the furnace to stay on all day. I want to do things around the property, but the chill is uncomfortable.

No one bothered to tell us the low on Saturday. They were predicting the latest ever freezing temperatures and couldn't be bothered to tell us if that actually happened? No, all they could do was tell us what was likely to happen that night.
And I knew on Sunday morning that it had not. It was too warm outside. 44 was the low.
Nice weather all week. That's something that hasn't happened lately.
80s next weekend.

EEEEy. Only Mrs. C gets to call me that.
By Friday there could be flooding. Also, it gets really cool again on Wednesday.

Wednesday was even worse than expected. 57 was the high when it's supposed to be the low. Ironically, it didn't rain all that much. I had thought about going into town today but I'm glad I didn't. Wednesday actually would have been a good day to do it. I did finally hear from the dentist, I think. I can't hear when someone is leaving a message so I'll have to actually play it to find out if I actually heard what I thought I did.
Today it was really pouring at times. I mowed early. Yes, I got my mower back, which was unexpected. It was probably a simple problem to solve but I wish someone would tell me how. When I walked for exercise, that's when it really came down. The pedestrian bridge over the creek at the college had water running across it. I don't walk there any more since it involves climbing but I wanted to see it from higher up.
Warmer today at least and I think the rain ends tomorrow.
The person who owns another site I go to is affected by another flood that's in the news.

Friday was mostly a nice day and it was good to get out and go somewhere more than two miles from home. But it's a good thing I went home early. It's just too stressful to try to do everything on the computer that I do these days anywhere other than home. A line of severe thunderstorms came through about the time the library was closing.
It wasn't cooler Saturday and I heard thunder at night. I was amazed when the radar showed one little shower.
91 yesterday and I heard thunder, so I watched the newscast I recorded and the meteorologist said so far the race had not been affected. Oh, yeah, NASCAR came back to Charlotte. And because I record whatever Fox does from 7 to 8, I saw the rain delay, if not actual racing.
Drizzle this morning and the rest of the day it has at least looked like it was about to rain, but at least it was cooler.

I forgot to mention barber shops were allowed to open at 5 last Friday. I thought about going but I didn't need to. My barber was there earlier and I guess he was going to be there ready to go. Except that's exactly the moment the severe weather came through. I did go yesterday.
No severe weather where I live but it sure was wet on Wednesday. I wouldn't have gone anywhere but I had a dental appointment.
At least it has been warm all week and that will continue.

No one has bothered to tell us anything. They have this idea if they forecast it, it must be what is going to happen.
It seemed hot over the weekend but It seems cooler today.
90 Thursday.

91 Thursday and, while the meteorologist who actually bothers to tell us this said no rain, it was pouring (while the sun was shining) when I made my second visit to the store that gives me points for gas. And I have to mention that on the gas price thread but I'll do it next time.
I have been miserable for two days. First it was because it was too cold. I checked my thermostat and it said 81. I didn't have to do anything the first time the air conditioning came on with my new system, but I did have to push a button yesterday. I saw that it said 77. After it ran and ran and ran, I turned it up to 70. Proably time to turn it back down.
