This may be my last post of the day despite what I promised earlier.
I keep getting nothing but a white screen, or sometimes the site's logo and main menu.
I stayed home today because they said it was likely to rain but it hasn't. The weather was supposed to be better yesterday so I went to the library and the grocery store where I get points. After trying several stations I finally found someone who told me the high was 89.
Sunday it was 91.
And I don't think my heat is working. I pushed the button to change it to cool when it didn't come on automatically when the thermostat said 81. And it was set on 77. It ran and ran and ran and never got below 79. And it's making a noise I don't like. The window unit makes the noise when it blows out cooler air, but the noise lasts. Outside, the noise stops quickly.
I will plug in the window unit when I get home from the mountains, so I won't have to unplug it. If I go to the mountains.

I finally gave in and called the people to fix my air conditioning. It hasn't been quite as hot but it has been miserable in the house. It was supposed to rain Wednesday and Thursday but that didn't happen here. Although when the men were outside working it looked like it was about to, and there were a few drops. Last night there was more. It seems cooler today.
And first I was told I might have set the thermostat wrong. Turns out I had not. They checked again and it needs a new motor. But it's under warranty!

Lows Saturday and Sunday were 61. I didn't even need the air conditioning, whether it's fixed or not. I haven't asked or tried.
Highs won't be much higher than that for a couple of days, and it might be raining. It was supposed to today but hasn't.
I was planning to go to the mountains but the weather will have to get a lot better. No event taking place, but I was getting ready just in case.

The sun finally came out. I think I'm safe to go tomorrow, but I hope things don't end up like the forecast I saw Sunday. Unfortunately, Friday's forecast at that time didn't include rain, but now it does.
Yesterday was mostly wet, and the high was 61, the coldest ever for the date. I was amazed Monday's high was 72 because it sure didn't feel like it. Maybe it wasn't that warm where I live.

It was nice in the mountains. When driving up I got rained on a couple of times when the sun was out, and then it rained for quite a while, but a few minutes later the rest of the day was nice. As is often the case, it looked like it might rain any minute most of the time. I got lucky. Had the library been open, it might have rained when I would have walked. Instead, I got bored and went back to the place where I usually eat. It had just rained. It rained again later but most of the time it was nice.
It wasn't hot. That would soon change. Where I live it was 91 yesterday and it was so nice to get back home and turn my air conditioning back on. Not the window unit, which normally comes on for the first time after I plug it in after returning home. Rather than let it run all the time, I turned it back up.
I just lost my Wisconsin radio station for a severe thunderstorm warning. Was there even supposed to be any rain around here today?

Some days it just barely reached the 80s, and other days I was glad they fixed my air conditioning.
The car I'm thinking of buying needs its air fixed. I hope it can be because I'm not looking at any other cars right now.
It was supposed to rain a lot more than it did but people to the south did get it. It just looked like it was about to rain yesterday where I live.

I just saw Roy (in a flashback, though Chad interviewed the same man) and the meteorologist said it has not reached 90 yet at the airport.
I don't live at the airport. Also, the airport that has the official readings I report here has been up to 90 at least once including yesterday.

It was in the 90s but hasn't been back there all week.
And all that rain we were supposed to have never materialized, at least not where I live. Some people got a lot.
A drought? Really? Some people have had flooding.

It was sunny this morning but there was no sun in the forecast for today. Eventually it rained and it rained for a while. That's why I did what i needed to do yesterday and didn't have time to come here.
95 Saturday, the hottest since October. October?
90 Sunday, not that anyone could be bothered to tell us on TV. I had to get that from the newspaper.
Cooler (well, not 90) yesterday. Probably cooler today.

No 90s since I posted last here, but that is changing.
I heard thunder today.
After all the talk about rain on Wednesday, not a drop where I live. Not even with Fay.

No rain all weekend. It was in the forecast. And we really need it. Also, it was in the 90s each day, but humidity is low.
I did have an EAS interrupt my Wisconsin radio station because of flash flooding in my area which doesn't make any sense given how dry it is around here. I also had various problems last week that caused me to have to restart the station.

An EAS interrupted my Wisconsin station for something not even happening in my area.
No rain all week but there was thunder Wednesday, which is why I remembered Roy. It was really bad but it didn't move and never reached my area.
Highs have been 90 or above all week.
I found a radio station in California when someone asked about radio stations online. The music is older than on the Wisconsin station and better in some ways. But weather forecasts are as bad as the ones from Wisconsin in winter. Highs around 115!

At 4 PM, the real feel is 106 degrees. It’s too hot 🥵 for me to do anything active.

95 or higher every day. Someone called them "pop-up thunderstorms" one day but someone else called it a squall line. I think the second one is a better description even though it wasn't a solid line. And then we did it all over again the next day but two hours later. Or the previous day two hours earlier. I don't remember which day those two descriptions were used.

14 straight days of 90 or more. At least it was "only" 92 Wednesday. Yesterday it was so cool in the house I considered turning the thermostat up. And yet the air conditioning still came on. On the other hand, in some situations I thought I'd need to turn it down when coming in from outside.
There was a severe thunderstorm warning and lots of lightning in my area. But when I saw the radar, it never crossed the county line.

The 90s continue but there may be a break later in the week. No one could be bothered yesterday to tell us the low and the high. So what if there are hurricanes and tropical storms? Those are not affecting us. If it's hot here, tell us how hot.

We are continuing to have a heatwave with temperatures close to 100. The temperature inside the house ranged from 91 - 95 degrees in rooms with no A/C so I have been running the A/C all day. I turn it off at night because it becomes cold.

Yesterday was the first day in Charlotte in weeks that it did not get up to 90. The official high was 89. It was cloudy much of the morning, at least where I live.
The meteorologist on the CBS station said at 6 he wanted to save the footage of the thunderstorm coming through Charlotte. I may have seen the same storm coming. I was at Home Depot and forgot about what I had seen when I had to spend a lot of time inside waiting for the man to arrange for someone to come to my house to replace a door. But it wasn't coming toward where I was. I did turn the radio to the Rush Limbaugh station when the station I wanted was off the air due to weather problems. It was there I heard that storm knocked the temperature down to the low 70s.
And once again I heard thunder and the storm never came through. It looked serious but then didn't move any closer to where I live.
On another occasion, there was a more serious storm in the middle of the night.
It sounds like there will be more days in the 80s next week because of Isais. So far, they're not saying we will be affected that much.

I was surprised it was such a nice day. Then it got cloudy and rained for a while. Now the rain has stopped.
It was a challenge to find out anything about temperatures because there are other priorities but it did get into the mid-90s again the last three days. Maybe it was cooler today and it will likely be cooler tomorrow. Not much rain expected here.

Finally, one of the meteorologists told us it was below 90 two days in a row.
Then it was back in the 90s each day. And there was too much activity last night for anyone to mention the high. Well, one man did.
Lots of thunder where I live last night but not that much rain. Other areas got lots more. Imagine 67 degrees at 11 at night.
I got home just in time yesterday. I could have gotten rained on.

Then Sunday was a nice day, with a high of 94.

90s are over. There is some dispute over whether it reached 90 Friday. I said it rained most of Thursday but I meant after I got home.
It rained a lot Saturday afternoon but yesterday, it was a nice day once the sun came out.
Today, back to more of the same and a line of thunderstorms just came through.
