It's great to have the GANG back together, even though the circumstances are less than positive. AVP, sending you all good thoughts and prayers as you spend time with your family and say goodbye to your aunt. Remember these games? NAME THE SONG AND BAND: Aged Clock Boulder and Spin BY Mr. Seger

Thanks maze, we had a nice memorial service with family.
I'm actually getting ready to head back to Maryland tomorrow.

Spring Break is next week and we've decided to not go and visit my family in Nebraska. I'm hoping we can go camping somewhere, even if just for one night. We can easily stay away from people out camping in the middle of nowhere.

Be careful merr, some camping sites are closed, my aunt and uncle were checking that last night on the news.

She drove in to town to pick up her son from his mission with our church. He's got asthma so they decided to send him home after only 8 months, when he was supposed to be out for 2 years. He's a little sad. He was on a Spanish speaking mission about an hour and a half away from me. A different nephew just found out he's going to go to Tahiti, French speaking in July, but at this point, things could change.

You're right though, in Utah, you can put out your tent and sleep under the stars, almost anywhere. Maze, I couldn't guess the song. I tried, but I couldn't get it. I went to the grocery store yesterday, wearing a mask and gloves. It was practically empty, which was nice. Strange feeling, but nice. I was speaking to a friend from Hungary and she said the empty shelves remind her of home. She moved here three years ago. She fortunately passed her citizenship test and was sworn in last month. Otherwise, who knows when it might happen. I'm still working from home, probably just until end of week, then will be temporarily "unemployed". Michigan is under a "stay-at-home" mandate, so the plant portion is shut down. Without them, it's difficult to work on issues.

Old Time Rock and Roll by Bob Seger LOL LOL. I thought mentioning Seger in the clue, was a trick. Maze, I do remember that you and I bonded over guessing which character from "Gilligan's Island" matched with which character from "Gilmore Girls". So long ago.

Michigan is under a "stay-at-home" mandate, so the plant portion is shut down. Without them, it's difficult to work on issues. We go to the cabin a lot, so it doesn't feel any different than normal. Camping would be more fun. We woke up to rain that is almost snow this morning. I really want some sunshine! I was just reading up on the law that was passed regarding what businesses have to pay employees right now for sick leave or if they have to stay home because their kids are out of school or their daycare shut. Stupid thing is, it only applies to companies with under 500 employees! So all the big companies that would more easily be able to afford it don't have to pay their employees anything. Luckily so far, none of our employees have been sick or need to stay home. Only things mandated to shut down here have been restaurants with dine in options. We're told to social distance and to not gather in groups larger than 10, but nothing like Michigan and other states where they are shutting everything down.

We're on a work-from-home order at least through the end of this week. While Chicago is under a "shelter-at-home" order, traffic is still normal, stores are busy, people are doing stuff. Just not eating!

Just not eating! Our small town seems the same but I don't go out much. Kevin says the roads are pretty empty while he drives around for work though. Our grocery store is going back to its normal busyness and not nonstop busy anymore. Kids are out of school until May 1st and no news on when restaurants can open back up for dine in.

My boys are doing fine with the whole staying home thing. I make them play outside (when we get nice weather) but they are getting to spend a large portion of their day playing video games so they are in heaven. (They are even taking turns well) Emily though is getting stir crazy and just wants to go somewhere. She's used to going to cheer 3 times a week and competitions on the weekends. She doesn't do as well being stuck at home. Since she has her license, I might start letting her just go drive around but not actually go anywhere. We had more snow yesterday. It never really stuck, but it snowed almost all day, which doesn't make for good weather to go outside. Luckily, Wednesday afternoon, we go the badmintan net out and played together as a family for a bit even though it was cold. Spring Break is next week and the weather is supposed to be in the 50s which will be warm enough to send the kids outside in the afternoon. It is fun to chat with friends again.

I went to the grocery store yesterday, wearing a mask and gloves. It was practically empty, which was nice. Strange feeling, but nice. I was speaking to a friend from Hungary and she said the empty shelves remind her of home. I went to a grocery store yesterday and some parts of the store had few items. I haven't seen Lysol in a while but I have a lot since there's only the one place where I can get a good price on it, and I always buy too much because you have to spend $10 to get the sale price. Some stores have toilet paper though at that one grocery store one girl who I think worked there was taking a lot of it out of the store and I don't know why. Maybe she was helping someone. Too many people. Not a lot of cases in my area, and I'm just hoping no one had contact with any of the people who have it. Holding the door open is normally nice, but it puts you too close to the other person. One grocery store had an employee cleaning every cart before it was used. This tore did not. They provide wipes (and the stores I go to always have) but you have to be the one to use them. By the way, in my county, the one reported case (as of yesterday; I don't check news very often) worked in assisted living but did not have direct contact with patients. Library stories! I went to my county library for the last time. Few people using computers and I spent most of the day on one. A few things I can't do at home, but to keep from having to turn on my computer at home I just continued to use the computer most of the day, with a break for lunch. The shelves were not clocked off, unlike where I went yesterday. As of Wednesday, it is only possible in my county to get people to bring books to you or collect items being returned outside the building. Where I went yesterday I had checked the web site but it did not say I needed a reservation to use the computer. So I'll go back after making a reservation. There are far more cases in that county but I'll assume they're in the more populated areas. Charlotte and one county next door which has had the first two deaths have told people stay at home. The number of cases in Charlotte (actually, they report by county, so that county) doubled in a day and then doubled again and just kept going up.

Only things mandated to shut down here have been restaurants with dine in options. Are you sure you're correct about that? In North Carolina they just can't have dining in. So any place that has a way to get takeout is doing it. Most fast food places have drive-thru windows so the dining room is actually closed.

It's great to have the GANG back together, even though the circumstances are less than positive. Maze, this wouldn't affect you, but I heard barber shops in North Carolina were required to close. I was so relieved my barber wasn't affected. Then I found out it just hadn't happened yet. He opened earlier than usual. No waiting. And I was afraid he would have the news on as he often does. No, one of those ESPN type channels. They actually had stuff to talk about. Then "Let's Make a Deal".

They don't have to completely shut down, they can serve people to go or deliver food. Just can't have people eating inside the restaurant.

Still working from home. I'm not sure how long that's going to last.
I need to go to grocery store tomorrow. I'm going to go at 7:00 am and get in early. Pretty nervous about it.
I still haven't started watching television yet. Not interested.
I sound depressed, don't I? I'm not, just a sad sack.

I was hoping I'd spend some of my time trying new things or catching up on TV, but I haven't. I'm glad you're not depressed. If you ever do feel like watching TV, try out Sanditon or the new Emma and let me know what you think.

The plan is to work from home through next week. The company will figure out the next plan sometime before that ends. Honey's company is shutting the down next week, they have to use vacation.
Merr, I did download the below to my Kindle a couple of weeks ago. I'm saving it for a rainy day. Someone, Another Lady, who wrote their version of the book, or the "finishing" version. I know it's different from the series, which I do need to watch.
I want to see the new Emma, I just don't want to pay for it.
Sanditon: Austen's Last Novel Kindle Edition by Jane Austen (Author), Another Lady (Author) 4.3 out of 5 stars 146 ratings
