o.k. Chloe I've found it lol. Its EW spoiler. www.spoilertv.com/2012/01/supernatural-season-7-latest-from-ew.html?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=tumblrThese boys can’t seem to catch a break. But that’s pretty much business as usual on Supernatural. Less usual? The season’s high body count. Now, Supernatural has never shied away from giving key players the figurative (and sometimes literal) axe — and oftentimes, they’ve returned at some point in the series. But this year, two fan favorites met their maker (first angel pal Castiel and more recently lovable curmudgeon Bobby Singer). The price was as high as it’s ever been. And as the boys continue to mourn their losses this season (RIP Bobby… sorta) (RIP Cas, they think) executive producer Sera Gamble tells EW that the deaths, while difficult, were key in telling the stories they set out to tell this season. “The really cool thing about this show is that [death] never precludes continuing to explore the character,” she says. (For more on the death of Bobby, read today’s Spoiler Room.) “All that means is that we get to be bold and we get to make big choices, and we get to really go places with Sam and Dean.” So what does the season hold? For one, tonight’s episode finds Dean back in 1944, wrangling with the notorious Eliot Ness. “Sam has to find a way to bring him back – that’s pretty challenging both in 1944 and 2012. He goes back unwillingly — he gets dragged back in time by a fluke of who the bad guy is,” says EP Robert Singer, the namesake of the now dearly departed character. The Vampire Diaries Sarah Canning, whom Gamble first saw on the CW show, is also set to appear in an upcoming episode. “She plays a woman Dean meets in a bar and they kind of have a similar perspective on what happens when you meet someone in a bar, which is, ‘Why don’t we go have some fun?’” Gamble says with a laugh. “There is some unintended consequences, at least on Dean’s end. Sometimes you just have fun and you can move on with your life and sometimes complicated supernatural [occurrences] strike you.” Meanwhile, as EW has told you, Misha Collins is also slated to return this season. Although, both Gamble and Singer are mum on exactly how. Jared Padalecki was slightly more forthcoming about the possible return of Bobby. “Yes, he is [coming back]. I don’t know how, but he is. He’s not going to come back as Bobby in the classic, ‘Hey, I’m Uncle Bobby and I drink too much and I’m kind of curmudgeonly,’ but he’s going to come back in some way, shape, or form,” said Padalecki. Also in store? Sam will get beat up by clowns in an episode about childhood fears (Although, Padalecki says, Dean does not have to face his fears, although, he’s sure he has one. “He must. Maybe his hair getting messed up or something,” he jokes.) And the leviathan storyline that was introduced in the first episode of the season will ramp up. “The last run of shows is very Leviathan heavy,” says Singer. “And Sam will need a lot of help — Sam goes wackoidal in episode 17, and Dean has to bring him back from the brink of insanity. Some old friends show up to help him with that. That’s as much as I’ll tease!” Padalecki adds: “We’ll see the return of Mark Pellegrino as Lucifer, he’s going to be tormenting me. I’ve been seeing visions all season long, and now we’re going to see what those visions are. Sam’s been fighting them by himself, but now we’re going to see them tangibly. We’re going to see Sam break.” Source: EW Thanks Ben. I was dreading ep 17 but now I can't wait.

Sounds o.k. doesn't it. Aslong as Dean and Sam get to hate on Castiel I'm good and they should. If they don't then its crap and fanservice. I don't know what the three eps are about. I'm suspecting its time filling since JP is having some time off lol.
I think maybe MC is playing a human that looks like Castiel so they bring him in to be Castiel or whatever. Its something we wouldn't think of. Its got to be something ridiulously stupid because his character is completely unnecessary and corny and stupid and so will his return.

What I'd like to see is Sam and Dean have a little burning ceremony for the dirty trench. A fitting end for a filthy trench and a scumbag character.

The boys have needed to destroy objects that ghosts were attached to in other cases. Maybe Sam's hallucinations attract Cas's angry, insane ghost and Dean can burn him and send him wherever bad angels go. Since bad angels get sent to the cage, maybe they can exchange him for Adam?

Yes!!!!!!! Burn the trenchcoat and send Cas to purgatory where the demons and monsters he returned there can torture him for eternity. Whoa that would even be better than melting into pond scum! Reminds me of the movie "Constantine" where Constantine is destined for hell because of a suicide attempt as a child. As an adult he catches demons on earth and sends them back to hell, so now he really doesn't want to go to hell and face the angry demons he imprisoned. The irony is that Constantine commits suicide a second time to bargain with the devil to free an innocent soul from hell who also committed suicide in order to prevent the devil's son from reaching earth. Constantine's act of sacrifice earned him salvation from God and the best scene in the movie was when he flipped the devil the bird (it's better when you see it for yourself) Sorry for rambling, I suddenly got inspired. Angels were dicks in that movie too.

well ya'll jared gave a new interview to zap2it..i posted the whole interview on main page but here's is the sZap2it: Misha Collins is coming back for a few episodes this season.
Padalecki: Yeah, his first episode is the one where Sam goes crazy. We're so stoked to have him come back. So, so stoked.
Zap2it: How do the Winchesters handle it?
Padalecki: Well, for Dean, it's a double edged sword. He's been really hurt by what Cas did. Sam and Castiel were never close; Cas always had a bone to pick with Sam because of the Ruby thing, which is understandable, the whole apocalypse thing.
Zap2it: It worked out pretty well for you, though.
Padalecki: Yeah, Jared's alright with it. My demon child is on the way, I'm good.
Zap2it: So when Castiel returns, that's really a Dean-centric story?
Padalecki: Definitely. Sam never took offense to the fact that Cas had a beef with him. Sam's always been pragmatic and practical. He's like, 'Okay, I guess if I was talking to somebody who messed the whole world up, I'd be hesitant too.' I think with Dean, it's really hard for him to deal with Castiel's betrayal. We've seen Sam wrestle with visions of Lucifer, and now it's Dean's turn to have that kind of a story. We'll see Dean struggle to wrap his head around the Castiel issue. He's like, 'How do we forgive this guy? How do we trust him? That's how we got hurt; that's how we got burned.' Dean's once bitten, twice shy. We'll see him wrestle with some of his own demons.
i must say i'm disappointed to know we'll have more dean/cas angst...i should have known better than to get my hopes up that they would focus on sam and his breakdown...what do ya'll think?

I've always said that actors are the worst source for spoilers before the episode is wrapped up because they have no control with the direction of the writing. Anyway, SG kept saying Misha will return as not-Cas. As for the Dean/Cas angst, I think it needs to be resolved and I rather have it done sooner than later and OVER WITH. Even though I'm a Cas skeptic, even I found Cas' death to be cringe worthy for a well established character, even if the manner of death was fitting. Who knows, maybe it will just take one episode to resolve the Dean/Cas angst and Dean spends the next two trying to save his brother's sanity while swearing death and destruction on Cas/not-Cas

It's sounding suspiciously like Dean needs to learn that he has to forgive his Cassiepoo in order to be happy, because Cas never meant any harm. In fact, I'm bracing for Sam to be drugged in a psych hospital and having no lines while Dean works out his epic manpain and then learns to love Cas all over again. If I'm prepared for this maybe things won't be as bad as I'm expecting.

Have they already filmed the episodes? The last time Sam was trapped in his own mind he still got plenty of lines while Dean was man-paining over what Cas had done to Sam Don't see why it can't be the same when he's trapped in an insane ward. I don't know if the writers will take this route regarding forgiveness, but generally to forgive means to be free from the baggage eating you up and it doesn't mean forgetting what the other has done, far from it you have to remember so not to get hurt again or make the same mistake. We've seen Dean depressed, drinking, moping, and angry, and it's not hard to think all that is rooted in his anger towards Cas. We been wanting Dean to get past the depressed state for quite a while and by forgiving Cas, Dean will be free from the prison of his anger but it certainly doesn't mean he will forget Cas' crimes. At least that's my take.

what's sad is i can see them writing this...i suspect dean will forgive cas and he will get his redemption... my biggest problem is the dean of old would have ripped cas a new one for the things he's done to sam...i just don't like the way dean was more lenient and supportive of cas than sam...that always has irked me..it seems OOC dean..but that's just my opinion i at manpain!!!

No where in my hypothetical did I say Cas will get redemption from forgiveness. Some Holocaust survivors have forgiven the Nazi, but it doesn't mean the Nazi were "redeemed", far far far from it. The survivor found it to their benefit to forgive, it certainly was not for the benefit of the Nazi.

Sorry Windykl, I didn't mean to come off rude and abrupt like that.
Guess we'll have to wait and see the final results, though I'm not certain how Cas can be redeemed when it's not-Cas. Earlier today I was talking with my roommate (a Cas fan) about MC coming back as not-Cas and she thought it makes sense because all season 6 Dean was generally rude and dismissive of Cas because "Dean doesn't need Cas anymore" and she felt that TPTB has been setting up for the end of the so-called friendship between Dean and Cas, and the not-Cas is the final nail in the coffin.

Heh, my roommate miss the "great bond" which was glaringly absent in season 6, which I didn't notice because I glaze over when he shows up on screen. Come to think of it, my roommate concluded the same time I did (we played the Coke game) that Cas would be the one to destroy Sam's Wall as soon as Death mentioned the danger of scratching it. I said Cas would do it simply because I don't like the character, but my roommate saw it coming a mile away because Cas was acting "shifty and off" all season. If she could see it last season maybe she's on to something this season. She's also a fiction writer so maybe she knows how these things work.

I have to say that from the moment I read this interview by frustration came back... Looks like that even if 7.17 is about Sam it will be about him without him... I'm afraid that Sam's story will be told -once again- off screen, while on screen we will have to watch "the epic love story of Dean and Cas"... I just hope the writers can remember who Dean Winchester really is... Because the real Dean Winchester would never give it a second thought forgiving the being that did so much harm to his brother (especially considering that by that time he will actually have to face the worst results of what Cas did to Sam). Not unless he has sth to gain (Cas in whatever form can somehow help Sam, even though I don't want Sam to be healed just by pressing a magic button).

Maria, I'm taking the wait and see approach because not only are spoilers misleading most of time but because actors are the worst source for spoilers before the episode is wrapped up because they have no control with the direction of the writing. Actors are constantly reminding the public that they have no idea what is going to happen until the day they receive the script. Last week SG and RS kept saying Misha will return as not-Cas.
When a production crew knows an actor is going to be absent for a spell it’s not unusual for them to film the hell out of the actor’s available time so that they will have enough films for the final product. And the last time Sam was trapped in insanity he still got plenty of lines and actions while Dean was man-paining over what Cas had done to Sam. I don’t see why it can’t be the same when Sam is locked inside his mind.

Recap Episode 7.12 “Time After Time” (Original Title: Dick Spacey).
“Deeeaan what are you doing?”
“I’m checking out Dick.”
Sam smiles and nods his head.
“Dick Roman!”
“Too late.”
“Come on Sam, we got to get our revenge on.”
“And how is staring at Dick pictures in a motel room getting our revenge on? Like, what are we even doing?”
“What we always do! Just wait for something to happen! Cause do you remember the last time we were proactive, Sammy? Well my FACE sure does!”
The phone rings: It’s Sheriff Mills. She heard that two people in Canton, Ohio ended up California Raisins and she immediately thought of them. Sure Sam and Dean will check it out, it’s not like they have more important things to do like save the world.
*
They go to Canton and squat in an abandoned house (cause the toilet is just a hole in the floor). A heavily medicated witness told them he saw a guy in grandpa clothes (ie. suit and fedora) age a dude with a red beam that came out of him. They believe this guy immediately (and yet they side-eyed the lady in the fairy episode?). Sam uses his research powers to find out that mummified bodies have been turning up in threes in this town for decades. This would normally be the part where Dean makes a snarky remark, complains about how horrible their lives are and drinks beer until Sam figures out their next move, but instead Dean taps into the traffic cameras to see if they can catch a glimpse of the fedora guy at the scene of the last murder. Sam is not amused.
“Wow. Really Satan? You’re not even trying any more.”
“Huh? No Sammy, it’s really me, Dean.”
“mm-hm, gurrl you tripin.“
“. . .No, seriously! I actually did something smart! New Bobbay showed me how to do it.”
“Sure thing “Dean”, who only ever uses the computer to look at Dick and anime porn. Frank showed you how to be an expert hacker last episode in the 15 minutes between your two day nap and checking your voicemail to find out that you might want to, I don’t know, correct very wrong, could-get-you-horribly-killed information in dad’s journal .“
“. . .I still have the anime porn and the Dick pictures on my other tabs. . .”
They manage to catch fedora guy on camera and notice that he’s also in an old newspaper photo about a similar shrively death. They see another onlooker in the photo who was young enough to still be alive today. She tells them his name was Ethan Snyder and where he lives. They wait outside his house until he comes out and then, having done no research on what he is and how to kill him, Dean has Sam and him split up with plain ol' guns blazing to corner him in an alley. Sam begins to think that this might really be Dean, after all. As he comes around the corner, he sees Dean disappear in a big red ball of light. Yep, that really is Dean, Sam confirms. You just can’t fake that kind of stupid.
*
Dean walks out of the alley into a crowded street which looks like the set of Bugsy. He still has his gun out in clear viewing. Shockingly, he gets arrested.
“No, you got it all wrong, I work for the Bureau, look.” Dean shows the cop his FBI badge.
“Issued in 2012. . . so in 68 years you will be an FBI agent. . .what are you a wise head?”
“68 years?. . .2012 minus 68 iiissss. . .twelve take away eiiiigght. . .one becomes a zero, zero become a niiinnne . . .”
“It’s 1944!”
“Oh crap!”
A detective-looking guy walks in and dismisses the cop. He seems interested in that red light Dean described, so interested in fact that Dean believes this guy might actually be a hunter. He introduces himself as Eliot Ness.
“Eliot Ness? The Untouchables, Eliot Ness? O-M-GEEEEEEEE! I can’t believe it! Eliot Neeeeesss and he’s a hunter. . .um. . .is that a. . . trench coat you’re wearing?”
“Enough bumping gums, tell me what you know, daisy."
“Guy in a suit and fedora. . . wears a ring with an hourglass symbol on it. . .kills in threes. . .ages victims till they’re jerky. . .sent me back in time from the year 2012. . .”
“Time travel? You get that a lot?”
“Nah, it’s new to me. . .oh except the two times I was sent back to see my parents before I was born . . .and there was that one time I went to the Wild West to gank a phoenix . . .and theeeeen there was that time I was sent into the future so I could witness my brother, who became the avatar of Satan, wipe out all of humanity. . .but other than that, completely new experience.”
“Avatar of Satan, huh? I’m jealous. . . Come on, let’s fill this creep with daylight, ay pally?”
"Because it is the Chicago Way,” Dean says in a scottish accent.
"Chicago is in Illinois, this is Ohio, genius."
Ness has female Bobby get new threads for Dean so he doesn’t look like a corn field man hooker anymore. After everyone wipes the drool from their mouths looking at Dean in his 1944 ensemble (va va va vooom!), they get their research going.
The hourglass symbol on Snyder’s ring suggests that he is in fact Chronos, the Greek God of Time. They figure because they don’t make old gods like they used to, he probably can’t time travel anymore without filling up his tank on life years stolen from other people. Thinking Snyder might be living in the same house in this time period, Dean and Ness pay a visit to the Chrono cave. Chronic isn’t there, but they find out that he's been making his lettuce by betting on horse races he already knows the outcome of. . .Sounds like someone would have been better off in Hammer of the Gods. From his notes, they discover the name of his bookie, Lester. They bring Lester in for “questioning”.
“Where is He!” Dean punches Lester in the face.
“W-Who?”
“Harvey Dent! . . .oops wrong movie. . .”
“. . .”
“Listen buddy,” Ness pulls Lester aside, “my friend here kind of got jingle-brained from the war. Now he's abusing the giggle water and thinks he fought off the Devil’s legion of demons with his trusty angel sidekick to avert the apocalypse. . .you should probably start spitting. . .”
“Where is Snyder, Lester?. . .Lester? Sounds like Al-Lester, the demon who tortured me in hell! Where’s my magic demon killing knife!!!”
“Aaaahhh! I’ll talk! I’ll talk!”
*
Sheriff Mills shows up with boxes full of Bobby’s stuff. Sam and Jodie sift through his things, hoping to find something that will tell them how to bring Dean back. Sam finds a summoning ritual that makes Chronos tell you your future, but unless he does the ritual at the same exact time as Chronos and Dean are spooning, then his bro will be stuck in the past forever.
“*Sigh*. . .So I guess it’s just you and me from now on. . .”
“Oh Sam, I will always be here for you.”
“No, I was talking to Lucifer.”
“Oh. . . .you know, it doesn’t have to be just you and. . .Lucifer. . .you can depend on me too.”
“Nah, I don’t know you like that.”
“. . .You know, I found this old bottle of whiskey in Bobby’s things, looks like Rufus lost a bet. I think Bobby would have wanted us to drink it, don’t you?”
Sam grabs the bottle out of Jodie’s hand.
“Check yourself girlfriend! I think he would’ve wanted me and DEAN to drink it! Don’t think just because you were macking on Bobby means you get to drink his best hootch, mm-hm.” Sam around the world snaps.
*
Dean and Eliot case a frolic pad that Lester said was Snyder’s hangout place . While they wait for Chronos to show his mug, Dean decides to have a male bonding moment with Eliot. He’s ready to bare his soul about how horrible a hunter’s life is and how he can barely manage to get out from under his trenchie each morning when Eliot mentions how hunting is the most sweet, juicy, kippy, dilinger job in the world and whoever thinks different is a dingy, crumb, jellybean, bunny who can blow. Dean has no idea what a dingy crumb jellybean bunny means, and is not sure if he meant the good blow or the bad blow. They eye Snyder following a woman in red down an alley. They take out their bean-shooters and are about to pump metal when they see Snyder and the woman kissing. Cause you can’t blip off a murdering god when he's in the middle of a romantic moment, Dean and Eliot breeze off.
Eliot does look-out at Casa de Chronos, while Dean picks up the ganking weapon of the week from female Bobby. Female Bobby is just like regular Bobby, except she has better taste in men. Dean just realizes that once he kills Chronos, he will be stuck in this time period forever; never to see his sweet, beloved Impala again. . .oh and that other guy too (But who needs them when he has dreamy Eliot Ness!) He decides to follow the Back to the Future playbook and plant a letter for Sam in the same house they were crashing in.
*
After getting sent to his room without supper, pouty Sammy shifts around in his blankie until he notices his name carved in the wall. Sam finds Dean’s letter:
Dear Sam,
I’m in 1944! You wouldn’t believe who I met: Eliot Ness! And he’s a hunter too!!! Untuckabelievables!
We’re tracking Chronos. He’s shacked up with some broad named Lila. I know right? A girl, icky! I found a way to gank him, but then I’ll be stuck here forever.
Don’t worry about me. Eliot and I got an epic bromance going, he just doesn’t know it yet. Gee, I wonder why it’s so fun and exhilarating hunting with him, when I always feel so miserable and suicidal when I’m hunting with you. Weird, huh?
Well, I guess it’s up to you now to avenge Bobbay and beat Dick.
Your bro,
Dean
P.S I bequeath all my possessions to the Impala, except my jeans and leather jackets who shall go to trenchie (don't ask). Oh and if my necklace ever turns up again, you can keep that for yourself.
P.S.S In case the thought had crossed your mind to look up a now 90 year old me in the present, don't. I have moved on with Eliot. But we will always have our memories. . .our very horrible, nightmarish memories.
"AW HEEEEYYYLLLL NO!"
*
Sam and Jodie locate this Lila broad in a retirement home. Luckily she has the best old person memory in history and can tell them the exact date and time that her godfriend disappeared in a red ball of light. . . and by the way he strangled Dean to death. So much for the epic bromance with Eliot (serves him right that two-timer!) Sam performs the ritual. Ding-dong! There's Dean getting his clock cleaned by some dude who is hilariously not anything like Father Time. As Dean the Untouchable is being touchabled to death, Sam just walks up behind Chronos and stakes him through the heart. You'd think he should have saw that coming. . .Before he stops tick tocking, Chronos tells Sam his future.
"They're everywhere. . .They will cover the world with black ooze."
"Yeah, I know, I read it in "Duh magazine".
". . .Oh and Dean will finally get laid. . ."
". . ."
"With a female."
"Whaaaaaat?!"
"And he's coming back."
"Who's he?"
"Yooou knooooow."
"Please, tell me it's Satan."
"Think again."
"No."
"Uh-huh."
"Nooo!"
"Say good-bye to your dialogue."
"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!"

I'm trying to think what's like Cass, but not fullblown Cass. Did he like lose all of his memories of Sam and Dean and the whole apocalypse thang, and is back to his original do whatever I'm told grunt angel persona, wondering where Michael and Raphael is and why half the angel population is dead (you did it!) Dean will hesitantly try to get his bromance back on with Cass, and Cass will be all "and you are?" Meanwhile Sam drools in a corner. . .
I don't mind if you want to make a separate thread for the recaps, btw. I just didn't want to do it myself cause I don't want to come off as self-absorbed or presumptuous.

Well this is certainly possible since this whole s/l has never made any sense for Dean Winchester. The fact that he has to have a moral dilema at all regarding this character shows that the writers arn't writing this for Dean and because of Dean. He'd have no moral dilema. Castiel has burnt his bridge, its done and I'd hate it if they asked him for any help or if the writers had him help. I thought we were done with all that and the boys were going to do it together as humans. I thought that was the whole point of this year. And its much better for it. Its the way Supernatural is at its best. Such a huge shame they had to bring him back, now all Deans progress will have to be reverted back to wussy Dean because thats how they write him around castiel. Because Castiel isn't macho and neither is Misha and it stands out like a beacon.

There are others that I miss, as well, but I am really, really happy that so many of our lounge friends are here! I miss them too, I think they have no idea what happened to the lounge till they tried to post and came straight to the twitter and facebook direction. They probablyhave no facebook and twitter and now they are lost. ...and...btw..... *in a positve way* ...[glow=red,2,300] PUPPY is BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!! [/glow]

So ..... I want to take over the patronage of this "special" project, the CSS (Castiel Skeptics Society) I feel like I am not as much involved in the show as I was and it makes me (very) sad, but holding on to this thread where we can rant and vent about a supernatural fictional character who messed up our boys, their life and the series I still feel compelled out of a natural order. Its in me (like Sam's demon blood was in him..ha ha and he couldn't scrub it clean) and even more when I read comments what some want to watch regarding Castiel in Supernatural. I apologize first to people who are simply Casfans *bows down to them in apology*when there is any of it here that could offend you. This is not against you! I even can enjoy more scenes with Castiel in it without knowing what some people make of those scenes. What can I say ...some *special* peoples reactions made me hate Castiel and loathe his presence in the show even more. We call them here the Jefferson Starships (JS). That are people who prefer Sam out of sight or even dead because he is a bad brother and Castiel with Dean the rest of his life hunting and living together be the "better" brother for Dean than Sam. This thread is not for debate/discuss/argue Castiels role in the series, this is a thread to let of steam when it comes to the angel of weirdnesses of Supernatural, the only angel (in a garrison of angels) who was robotic and less emotional than others and mixed up the brotherhood more than others too. And do not forget angels are only demons with wings, chicken wings... .ehem.... ... .for reading !!!!

I was having a hard time getting this idea across to admin. You did it with a few sentences! Good job!
