Oh yeah. Those are old fan fictions. I made the cover art for them when I took them to NY for a meet and greet I was told I would have with Allison Mack. I am one of only two fans I have ever heard that she turned away/refused to see! The other ran a fan site for her. Except for "Phantom Comments," I believe all the fictions I posted covers for are on my site daybow.com.

One of my biggest regrets is that I never met anyone that can sing who would perform any of the songs I wrote for the WB Boards including my Smallville Musical. A man from the town I live in (Josh Krajcik) just came in 2nd on "X Factor USA." I wish I could have met him before he got his celebrity!

EZ was probably after my time. I just found a bunch of my old songs. I don't know how I was able to write them. I found one that talked about how we would be in the future. I guess that future is now!
From 2004:
“Old Chat Room Friends” [Based on “Old Friends/Bookends” By Simon and Garfunkel]
Old Friends. Old Friends Sit at their PCs like statues Reading old postings from way back When it was all new And we were all true To our old friends.
Old Friends. Distant companions made close then Lost in their busy lives, Contact was broken. The posts of the many – archived and stored, Forgotten in time Except in the memories of old friends.
Can you imagine us years from today Chatting on the internet? How terribly strange to be seventy...
Old Friends. Memory brushes the same years. Silently sharing the same fear.
A time it was! It was a time -- A time of innocence ... A time of confidences .
Long ago it must be ... I have an old printout. Preserve your memories. They're all that's left you.

Some Weird Days In My Life [Based upon “Summer Of '69” by B. Adams and J. Vallance]
I wrote my first real fan-fic. What a literary crime! I’m glad that it was never read That was a screwed up time.
Me and VersesBatman Wrote a lot and we tried real hard. Jackson quit and his stories got buried. We couldn’t hold on to Huge Pedlar.
Oh when I look back now That summer seemed to last forever. Awaiting new “Smallville” shows And spoilers were everywhere. Those were some weird days in my life!
Ain't no use in complainin' It’s just what I like to do While struggling to type those stories With just a finger or two.
Waiting for Shhmommy’s posts -- Hours seemed more like forever. Oh, but all the adds were grand I have never read much better. Fforde could always make me laugh. And Ciera would make me cry.
Man we were killin' time -- We were bored and restless. We needed to unwind. I guess nothin' can last forever - forever, no
And now the times are changin' Now that Baby J’s Mom's come and gone. Sometimes I read my old fan fics. Think about it -- wonder what went wrong.
Waiting for Shhmommy’s posts -- Hours seemed more like forever. Oh, but all the adds were grand I have never read much better. Fforde could always make me laugh.

[To “Sounds of Silence” by Simon and Garfunkel]
VersesBatman Our good friend Has come to chat With us again. Since Best doesn't want her posting She has slowed to merely coasting. But the fan fiction That is burning in her brain, Still remains. So she must live … With wrist pain.

So Far Away [From the Carole King song]
You're so far away. Doesn't anybody stay in one place anymore? It would be so fine to see you posting once more. Doesn't help to know that you're so far away.
Long ago you posted here -- it was so good. Wish you were back here in our "neighborhood." Thinking of you now, but you're so far away.
Just one more song on the information highway. Can't say much of anything that's new. If I could only work things out my way I'd rather spend it posting here with you.
But you're so far away. Doesn't anybody stay in one place anymore? It would be so fine to see you posting once more. Doesn't help to know that you're so far away.

“Sexy in Smallville” (Based upon “I'm Too Sexy” by Right Said Fred)
Lana: I'm too sexy for my love -- too sexy for my love. Love's going to leave me.
Clark: I'm too sexy for my shirt -- too sexy for my shirt. So sexy it hurts.
Lana: And I'm too sexy for Pair-ee -- too sexy for France. I’m too sexy in my pink pants.
Clark: And I'm too sexy for Smallville -- Too sexy for Smallville. I’ll leave – one day I will!
Lana: I'm self-centered and you know what I mean. If Chloe kisses Clark we’ll have a catfight. Yeah a catfight. I’ll pull her bleached hair. If she gives Clark tongue we’ll have a catfight!
Lex: I'm too sexy for my car -- too sexy for my car -- Too sexy by far! And I'm too sexy to wear a hat -- Too sexy for a hat. For me bald is where it’s at.
Clark: I'm an alien and my skin will turn green, Not from envy – just from kryptonite. I turn green if I get too close to kryptonite.
I'm too sexy Jor-El -- too sexy for Jor-El. I hope he burns in Hell.
Lex: I’m a rich man and you know what I mean. I can turn heads just by opening my wallet. Yeah, my Gucci wallet – opening my wallet. Yeah! I can turn heads just by opening my wallet.
Clark: I'm too sexy in this furnace -- too sexy for my pants. Poor Lana gone to France.
Lana: I'm too sexy for my love -- too sexy for my love. Love's going to leave me.
Chloe: Well, I'm too sexy for this song!

“Season One Remembered” (Based upon "Those Were The Days" written by Lee Adams and Charles Strouse) (Theme song to "All in the Family")
Boy, the cars Lex Luthor drove -- A new one in each episode He drove the best one off the road. Those were the days. Chloe Sullivan was great. Clark and Lana didn’t date. Pete Ross talked in episode eight! Those were the days. And you knew the good guys then, Freaks were freaks and men were men. Clark could use a friend like poor young Ryan again.
Everybody wrecked their trucks. Jon and Martha needed Bucks. Awaiting new shows always .sucks, But those were the days. Lana wore a necklace then Of rock that done her parents in. Clark should have stuck with Sullivan! He’ll learn some day. Clark wore plaids of red and blue. He lost his shirt a time or two. And Lana never had a clue. Those Were The Days.

VERSES AND ME ALONE ON THE BOARD (Based upon "You and Me Against the World") You and me alone on the board. Sometimes it seems like you and me alone on the board, When all the other Smallville fans just go away, I can count on you to stay.
Remember when the Jo3ll3 came to town How her topic posting never seemed to slow down, Wasn't it nice to be around someone that you knew, Someone who could type a little while so you could take a break or two
You and me alone on the board. Sometimes it seems like you and me alone on the board, When all the other Smallville fans just go away, I can count on you to stay.
And when one of us is gone, And one of us is left to carry on, Then remembering will have to do, Your memories alone will get you through Cause my old mind is gone, I won’t remember you, The days of you and me alone on the board.

“Young Miss Alison” [based on Mrs. Robinson by Simon and Garfunkel]
And here's to you, Young Miss Alison, Candyce loves you more than you will know. (Ho ho ho). God bless you please, Young Miss Alison, Heaven holds a place for those who spam (Except for Bam … and Neptune Man).
We'd like to know a little bit about you for our files. We'd like to help you learn to help yourself. Look around you, all you’ll see are sympathetic eyes. Stroll around the boards until you feel at home.
And here's to you, Young Miss Alison, Candyce loves you more than you will know. (Ho ho ho) God bless you please, Young Miss Alison, Heaven has a place for Pyro too (But not for “M,” and not for Prue).
Come up with a brand new name and hope that no one knows. What is in that Lunch that no one Takes? It's a little secret, just Miss Alison’s affair. Most of all, you've got to hide it from the Mods.
Coo coo ca-choo, Young Miss Alison, Candyce loves you more than you will know. (Ho ho ho) God bless you please, Young Miss Alison, Heaven is a place where rules are lax. (Touch my heart, But not the Sax!)
Posting on the internet on Sunday afternoon, Getting in a “who is who” debate, Laugh about it, Shout about it, when you've got to choose, Every way you look at it you lose.
Candyce has now banished DuckDuckGoose! I never really understood the “Bud!” (Clear as mud) What's that you say, Young Miss Alison? "DuckDuckGoose has left and swam away." (Quack quack quack, She’ll be back!)

SWANN SONG
NOUN:
1. A farewell or final appearance, action, or work. 2. The beautiful legendary song sung only once by a swan in its lifetime, as it is dying. ETYMOLOGY: From the belief that the swan sings as it dies.
“Virgil Swann” (based on “Vincent/Starry, Starry Night” by Don McClean) Starry, starry night He sees the sky a special way Watching from his chair all day No injury could ever chain his soul He still feels a thrill Life’s adventure excites him still He knows self pity is not God’s will So he helps unfold the mysteries so grand.
Now I understand What you wanted Clark to be And how you suffered for his sanity And how you tried to set him free He would not listen He did not know how Perhaps he'll listen now
Starry, starry night Watching closer than them all For one who comes as meteors fall Reflecting on what this will mean to man. Like no one else can Finding meaning to the words From the heavens – no one heard Because they didn’t recognize the plan.
Now I understand What you wanted Clark to be And how you suffered for his sanity And how you tried to set him free He would not listen He did not know how Perhaps he'll listen now
For he did not trust you But still your love was true And when you left us all behind On that starry, starry night Our Superman was kept safe due to you But I should have told you Virgil That I will always think of you … as our Superman too.
We see the stranger from the sky The strong man in bright colored clothes He’ll fly the world but no one knows That his inner demons are his greatest foes.
Now I think I know What you wanted Clark to be And how you suffered for his sanity And how you tried to set him free He would not listen He’s not listening still Perhaps he never will ….

Look at you go, man. I love it. And I can't wait to get all caught up on everything. Just one small correction: the author of Vincent (Starry Starry Night) is Don McClean, the same guy who did American Pie. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Don_McLeanJosh Groban's is a cover version.

I fixed it. Funny, when I made that mistake, I probably didn't know who Josh Groban was! I used to get the original lyrics and modify them and very often, a singer was incorrectly given credit for writing a song that they didn't write.

I was really pretty shocked by the Virgil Swann song. I don't remember writing it and it fits so well with what was happening on Smallville when Christopher Reeve died.

Clark’s Theme [based on Beverley Hillbillies]
This is the story of a teen named Clark. He was sent to Earth on somewhat of a lark. Jor-El got drunk and shot him into space Then Krypton exploded and killed off Jor-El’s race. Except Clark that is … And his cousin … And several thousand criminals. [Course his dog survived!]
Maybe some day Clark will be flying in the air. In skin tight clothes that include red outerware. Ma and Pa said “Clark, behave secretly!” But Clark never knew it would make his girlfriends peeved. Angry that is. P.i.s.s.e.d off!
Well, now it’s time to say goodbye to Clark and all his crew. The season’s done. It’s summer now. It’ll do no good to stew. You’re invited to stay here at this locality. But don’t expect discussions of shows not there to see. Set a spell. Take your shoes off. EEwww! Put ‘em back on.
