I don't know... In MHWGO, the boys were transferred in an AU... Does MS count as an AU? I think it counts as AU somhow... I never thought of it this way to be honest...

Eve as Mother of All (once) Question: If Dean's deaths count in Mystery Spot, should Ellen's demise in My Heart Will Go On count as a second death? Nope she didn't die a second time. She simply didn't die the first time in AU. So when AU was reversed it's still on same death in the hardware store. Dean had a bunch of different deaths and different version of the same day. For Sam he felt each of those deaths.

There's two ways to look at it, there's what happened in Supernatural "reality," and there's what we viewers saw and experienced. Since we experienced losing Ellen again, and because Sam and Dean remember it, I'd like to count it. Sam had to kill off his alters, Soulless Sam and Hell Sam in order to retrieve their memories. Should they count? No because they didn't go away they just can back to him to make him whole. Plus the whole thing happened in Sam's head not in the real world. Who knew it would be this hard figuring out what counts at dead. It's fun to debate. Feel free to tell me I'm wrong. I like a good debate and I do change my mind if a good argument is made.

Should they count? So, for me Ellen died just once (in AAH) because as AntiArbitrator said she never really died in MHWGO. Also, like evilsquirre1 said, soulless Sam and hell!Sam shouldn't count because a)it all happened in Sam's head and b) they didn't actually die, they returned back to soulful Sam... Man, this can really bring you a good headache!!!

So I was thinking over the seasons of all the characters who have kicked the bucket. And I though it would be fun to try and list them with the number of times they have died. I will get us started. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong. Bobby twice Grandpa Campbell twice Rufus Once Gwen Campbell Once Casitel three times Zach once John Winchester Twice Mary Winchester once Sam Winchester Five times counting falling in the cage. Dean Winchester Unknown but a lot in Mystery spot. Ash Once Ellen Once Jo Once Pam Once Okay your turn. We became so caught up in the discussion that we failed to add Eve to the list. I shouldn't be presumptious, so do you want to add Eve to the list? Eve Once Lenore Once

I'm not sure Eve is dead. Her brain being abused still caused pain in her subjects so that kind of implies she is down but not out. Similar to the horsemen. However, it is debatable.
