You missed the brilliance of J.D. Salinger?  Read his short story "A Perfect Day for BananaFish" in the collection Nine Stories and you'll never be the same. I much prefer that and Frannie and Zooey to Catcher, but all are magnificent. |

I no i was very disappointed i didnt understand why everyone loved that book i mean sure i saw the symbolism and could relate to how he felt at times in the book but i got so bored with it and i kept pushing thru it and felt let down at the end i need sumone to help me understand why its great and then i can reread it with a fresh perspective i always read books that r working towards something and at the end the pieces fall together but at the end of the catcher that didnt happen for me so i feel a little lost and i am def willing to read some of the other works u recommended cuz i feel i am missing out on the brilliance sumhow  and also moon that thing about tues bein the second monday is so awful bcuz its really true boo hoo |

Copy this link: http://i95./albums/l150/missjess67/doll.jpg 2. Go into your profile here. Once you're on that page hit Modify Profile. Scroll down a little and on the left you'll see where to add an avatar. 3. Click the option for "none" then paste the above link in the space where you put the avatar URL. 4. Yes, by all means do. You'll never be the same. I could say the same for John Irving's A Prayer for Owen Meany, which the movie Simon Birch was based upon. These are stories which will stay with you the rest of your days. I had a storied and extremely fun past in radio, starting with my first gigs in a couple of small towns in Mississipi, and ending up in Baton Rouge, La, (in the top 100 markets in the country) where I spent almost 15 years. Yes, it was a lot like WKRP in Cincinnati. ![]() I always wanted to be one of those voices in the night when I was a kid listening to the radio, and it certainly beat working for a living. |
