Castle is another of my favorite shows. Thought I'd see if anyone else on here likes it as well.

Oh hell yes! Love Castle, and am wanting to spread the word about one of the best shows in television. It has humor, heart, drama...I think I even have a girl-crush on Beckett

Castle! Best cop show ever! Been a fan of Nathan since Firefly, and love the who cast chemistry on this show. Also having a soundtrack that is in sync with the humour - really does a lot for this series

I've loved Nathan since he was Joey on One Life To Live. I haven't watched Castle yet but it is in my Netflix so I can catch up.

Oh yeah, I remember her! You should definately get into Castle - it really is so, so good. A friend turned me on to it just a few weeks ago, and I ended up watching all 68 episodes so far in just a few weeks - it's totally addicting! New episodes start again on Monday ;D

I've been tempted and I think I saw one episode, but with my schedule I'd need a real incentive.

So, what is this show all about?

Tell me more about what Castle is about, I'm interested in watching. Tinker told be about it on a Tuesday last week when it had aired Monday, so I haven't yet been able to watch it. So, what is this show all about? Richard Castle is a crime fiction writer - think James Patterson (who actually plays himself, as one of Castle's friends, it the pilot and other eps...He must have thought an awful lot of the show's potential to have agreed to appear in the very first ep). Anyway, some nutball is killing people in NYC in a way that mimics the murders in his most recent best-seller. The Mayor (also his friend) sends him over to "consult" with the NYPD, and he ends up sort of partnered with Kate Beckett, a tough, but somehow still feminine homicide Detective. There is a lot of love-hate at the beginning, and some lovely psuedo-flirty dialogue throughout. They end up working together long-term because Castle likes it, and he really does help out, so he gets the Mayor to order it. Great characters that you really care about, drama, humor, a lot of heart, and good writing. I recommend it highly!

Beckett is awesome.
Think the cast in general is rather well put together, good chemistry.
What was the episode about? I might recall when it's from.

Well, it seemed like it was a nod to Supernatural (Tinker's words, not mine). It was about a guy that does a ghostbusting type show end up being killed and it was in a house that was supposedly haunted.

Well, I'm not an SPN fan per se. But once Tinker said it was a nod to Supernatural, then I understood. See, I'm learning your language without even watching the show!

It's we SPN fans are the silly monkeys out in the wild and you are the Nature scientist studying us, learning our language and ruefull temper haha. In this incident though, I say you were lucky not to be a fan. I guessed he was the bad guy the first scene he appeared. No surprise twist for me!

I would recommend watching the older seasons by the way. There is an underlying story that is yet to be ended, and there is quite a bit of character evlolvement too that I find worth following. Particularly with Beckett and Castle individually as well as the obvious relationship speculations. If you can find them, one tends to eat through them rather quickly and you should be catching up before you know it
