All I have to say to Dean is you better not throw away the slinky like you did the amulet! When Sammy gives you a gift, you better hold on to it or help me diety!
Gave the episode a "9", good fun and Sam and Dean were working together like old times, just the two of them.

I loved pretty much everything about this episode. Even the cheesey 70s cop show music when they were chasing the stoner guy! Sam's facial expressions were priceless, and Dean truly laughed for the first time in years.

I gave it a "9" as well!
I haven't enjoyed an episode this much this season since "Hello Cruel World." Almost all the episodes since HCW have been "okay" to me, but not much to write home about. That said, this episode was truly a joy to watch.
I really liked it, and I can't express how much I enjoyed seeing Dean smile and laugh and be light and happy! I love that Sam noticed it too. That was a really nice moment! The brotherly banter at the end was great!

suicidal teddy was creepy but funny. the one scene that will forever top my 'had me in hysterical fits of laughter' list, is the dean cat scream from 'yf'. i LOVED that the writers gave us that unicorn riding a silver moonbeam, shooting rainbows out his azz easily, THE funniest scene this season. i just about melted over the boys brotherly banter. i loved seeing how the writers showed clips from 'elac', bringing dean's teasing sam about his clown problem into this new epi. while we didnt find out just what caused sam to fear clowns, at least we now know where it all started. next weeks epi looks intense. i thought i saw someone sticking a syringe in the back of sam's neck? sammy was hellucinating luci, while dean was sound asleep. there was also no hint of 'castiel' in the clip we saw tonite. since the boys seem to be working a case, i wonder if that's how they come across cas. i'm also wondering if we don't see him until the end of the epi. |

It was cute. I enjoyed it. Thought the bad guy was a little weak, though. Loved how the boys worked together even when they were apart. Loved seeing them both smile (for real) at the end. Really looking forward to next week! Looks like a return to the Supernatural we all know and love.  |

Gave last week an 8 and this week a 9 because there were more brotherly moments in this one. Loved the banter. Loved Sam's bad cop routine. Good stand alone episode.

How cute was this episode?
I love the way it was told. I could of done with a 'why are you so scared of clowns, like what actually happened at this place' and then it be all about being scared without his brother or whatever. I'm always out for the brotherly shmoop lol. But it was pretty close.
I loved how Jared plays scared. He really is such an amazing talent but that will never stop me just being in aw of him and his co-star, they're amazing.
The way they thread through big brothers advice: if it bleeds it can die. The way Sammy was so scared of clowns but didn't mind going if his big brother was there to protect him lol.
The teasing and the banter about 'trauma town'. There were so many chuckles through this episode and out and out laughs.
Deans giddyness at getting the big slinky lol.
I don't know why one of the things they didn't think of was the trickster. Sounds like someone getting just deserts to me.
Oh I also loved that at the beginning where Dean says about not wanting to see any children, women etc but then he wants to go see the 'hot' babysitter and then has this 'yea I could be interested again' look. I'd like then to address the whole 'contraception' thing though...to me that was a big thing since this guy has slept around alot.
I also loved Dean being scared for his brother when he knew the guy sicked clowns on his brother.
BUT of course I loved the ending...glitter lol. Nice work writers. And Deans genuine laugh reminded me of Hell House the prank episode. A genuine laugh and the boys having a lot of fun, just being brothers.
10. (next weeks episode whoa...Lucifer YAY, brothers YAY).

I haven't read anyone else's review yet but three things that made me squee during the episode: 1) Dean LAUGHED!!!!!  :heart:   2) A unicorn shot a rainbow out of its ass!! ;D and 3) Bad cop Sam + scary freaking clowns!!  Really I loved this episode! It didn't really move the overall storyline forward but it was the closest thing we've had to retro Sam and Dean in a long long time. It felt like the brothers were brothers again and nothing felt forced to me like in some of the other episodes this season and last. I laughed a lot, I made an eww face a lot, and I cringed at the clowns a lot and that equals a big win in my book!! Now off to read everyone else's review of the epi. |

Jared's facial expressions...I was laughing the entire episode. How about the scene where they are chasing Cliff (the lion suit dude) and a clown is in the way, so Sam goes FAR FAR around him. The glitter bomb...OMG the glitter bomb! And how awesome was it hearing Dean actually LAUGH again? I'm in love with this episode. :heart: |
