The power blinked off for a split second and the only thing that needed to be reset was the wifi and I was using it. I hope that does not happen when the storm increases. I hope they do not choose any more storm names that are complicated to pronounce. Isaias

I was disappointed with a movie that is supposed to be kid-friendly. Ugh!
Also these trolls trying to say that a particular series that I love has been cancelled with no proof whatsoever. I was so ticked off I did two livestreams addressing this concern.

I am aware people need money, but I was surprised a salesperson knocked on my door to offer security services. I tapped on a window and waved him off.
I received a robocall call that my SS number was being suspended. I hung up as soon as it started.

We get those robocalls too saying that about our SS numbers and that there are arrest warrants out for us. Ridiculous!
The backs of my legs have been very tender and sore lately, I think it's due to the air mattress we are sleeping on, it's laid out very weirdly but hey at least it beats sleeping on the love seat scrunched up.

I received a robocall call that my SS number was being suspended. I hung up as soon as it started. I got a similar call. I remembered to do my virus scan and it finished successfully late last night with a six-digit number. However, my computer froze yesterday and I don't know why. I ate supper waiting for it to come back. Roy (Chad) may not have been on at 4 due to a news conference from the governor. I remembered him at 4:30. I checked the recording at 8:00 and it was on then. I went back to that store that sold the soap I don't like. I found the correct soap. Slightly different color packaging. The cashier wasn't happy with that soap either. The manager probably wasn't responsible since it happened in several stores, but at least I said what I needed to. I still don't have a new car. Wednesday the man said that a week after he told me the man would be back with the key, he still hadn't come back. I decided to wait until yesterday. The dealer was closed! I called and haven't gotten a call back. If this is the way they operate, I'll be surprised if they ever sell that car. Still, do I really want a car that's 30 years old even with low mileage?

I was threatened with an arrest warrant. I'm not in trouble yet. I'm hoping to get my mattress foundation moved next week. There's no way to let anyone in to help me so I'll just have to be able to do it this time when I couldn't last year. A man was putting out a lot of trash on the street and it is fortunate items like he was putting out will be picked up in September. That includes mattresses!

I've had trouble with newspapers. This was not supposed to happen. Two of the newspapers I look at using my library card at one library have not been on the site since Tuesday, and one had only one section that day. Text is available for selected articles, but that's not everything and there are no photos. I have been promised this will be fixed soon, though I might be able to go to libraries that have the actual papers. If they've got them.

When the man who mows the lawn came to the door to collect money, he was not wearing a mask. When he made an irrelevant excuse, I pointed out he should put a mask on before he approaches people. I see him going to homes throughout the neighborhood without a mask and I do not want to get sick because of him.

The newspapers I look at using my library card have still not solved their problems. Yesterday both papers had comics and the missing papers have not been added. And today they were missing again.
My TV section was missing Saturday (really Friday because I pretend the paper is delivered on Saturday and don't get it when it comes on Friday). It was delivered today. I would have been happier if it had been delivered yesterday. That has happened.
The man who put out lots of trash got it picked up.

The newspaper situation is better. Pages left out and missing issues have not been restored, but along with a redesign both papers came back. Then they both left out sections on Thursday and one left out a section today. I'm betting that section gets left out of the other paper tomorrow.
I wish I could put my old mattress foundation out to get picked up, but I wasn't even able to get it out of my bedroom. My back has been hurting all week after I tried to move it. I never even tried the new foundation, but the only way now to use it is to have a Princess and the Pea situation. I don't know if I will like that or if the bed or the old foundation can handle the extra weight. On top of that, I didn't get to sleep in my bed for two nights as I hoped I could do everything if I just recovered and tried again. I'm still hurting too much to even try it. No, I'm not asking for help because my room is too much of a mess even after I tried to make things better. It's not safe for anyone to help me. Trying to move the stuff around won't work if there's no place to put it.
I still don't have a new car! The air conditioning had not been fixed. The man also had to replace the battery.
I have ten bars of that soap I don't like the smell of. It'll take a while.
On the other hand, I found Lysol this week. That's hard to do. I don't need any now, but if things don't get better I won't have it when I do.
Virus scan did fine. I remembered, and the number of files had six digits.
I used the sleep button but the computer came back on. I was turning it off and was told to restart. I liked being able to do that at tonight so it won't keep me from doing anything during the day. And putting everything on my bed back in place took so long I was able to use the sleep button again.
And my monitor got unplugged one day, so the sleep button didn't help. I had to turn the computer off to keep everything from being really large, and everything had to start over.

The section I said was going to be missing still is. The other missing papers and missing sections have not been restored. I contacted other libraries and the people in charge of that web site. I actually got a response from them! One library didn't respond but the other assured me they have microfilm. I would like to actually look at these papers without driving to libraries. On the other hand, I've been wanting to go to these libraries.
Now I smell like that soap I don't like when I use it, in addition to smelling it when I'm around it.
I'm still hurting too much to move my new mattress foundation. But I need my exercise, so I don't just rest.
I did have a cricket, but then I saw it in a place where I could stomp on it. I didn't have to listen to it my two nights not sleeping in my bed. I did have to listen to the DVR. When I asked, I was told all that noise meant it needs replacing. I don't think so. Still works.
I turned my computer off and then realized I meant to press the sleep button. The computer went to sleep. Later it was off. Weird.

No problems with the virus scan. At least I remembered. There was a six-digit number but a smaller one.
The monitor fell yesterday and today. And when I turned the computer on it didn't work. I kept plugging the power cable in and that didn't help. I did that one last time and finally, it worked. Also, the new webcam, which I haven't used, fell off when the monitor fell.

Not only are the newspapers not getting their missing sections back, but the TV section was missing from both papers over the weekend, and the comics from one of them. I actually needed to see the comics in that paper because one educational feature was missing from its web site with no explanation. I may go ahead and go to the libraries that get these actual newspapers. I've been wanting to. A restaurant near one of them has a sandwich I like. Also near there is a place that has ice cream I like cheap. My worry is that not all of the missing newspapers will be there or that sections will be missing. Or even worse, maybe they decided to cancel the subscriptions to the actual papers because they can be seen as they appear online. Well, they can't.
I missed Roy (Chad) but saw him when I went back and checked the recording. If his daughter is so sick he shouldn't be going out to meet with people, although he is wearing a mask.
My computer froze yesterday and I lost something I worked a long time on. I think I was able to reproduce it, or at least came close.
The car I wanted to buy was not there. I haven't asked why.

I saw Roy on Wednesday.
Virus scan did fine. I couldn't believe it was time again.
Monitor fell again.
I have to get a sticker for my license plate but the office is now closed two days a week. So guess which day I was there?
I decided not to go back there this week, or to the same town. Although most of the missing newspapers and missing sections were restored according to an email I got, I went to the nearest library that was open where I could see each one. It was an interesting experience in each case. They put me in a meeting room at the first library and a few sections were missing. But that library didn't have one of the newspapers anyway since it is not in the area. I went to the other library that does get that newspaper. They had every missing paper and every missing section, including the ones missing from the first library.

The two papers are still missing TV sections but at least the web site is updating again. One article I can't see is not on the web site. The newspaper that used to print it replaced it with a guide to streaming.
I can't keep my mattress pad tucked in. I just washed it! It has to stay tucked in for a year until I wash it again.

I followed a new set of procedures when I had blood work done today. When I arrived at the site, I entered the message “I have arrived” and was told I would receive a text when they were ready for me. Text never came. I went inside and informed them that I had been waiting and their system did not work.
The same thing happened when I used the “we will bring it to your car” option.

Also see the Food Thread.
My monitor and mouse fell together twice, and it happened the second time just a few minutes after the first time. This is explained on the Tanmi thread. Which also explains how I solved my mattress pad problem. Since the mattress had to be taken off the bed, I ended up washing the mattress pad again and putting it back. It took several tries.
I forgot my virus scan but amazingly, I remembered it when I put my wash in, not when I took it out. And then after it finished there was a 4-digit number. It's supposed to be 6 digits! How can you say I'm protected if you didn't do what I said do? I must have waited two hours to get the sticker for my license plate. I was sitting most of the time because I can't stand, though most of the people waited that long. I thought I heard someone say they ran out of money and someone had to get more (someone responded why not just require debit cards) and I thought I heard someone say they went to lunch and would be back at 2:30. Actually, the line got a lot shorter as people went inside. We were mostly outside, for reasons that should be obvious.
I saw Roy (Chad) twice this week.
The bar of soap I don't like fell and has disappeared completely. That doesn't solve my problems because I had to get out a new one so they would all get used. I'm sure I will find it when I clean up.

My monitor was unplugged when I turned the computer on today. And my computer froze yesterday and today and I lost something I had worked a long time on in both cases. Hopefully what I did afterward was good enough. In all three cases the computer must be turned off. If the computer freezes, the off button doesn't work so I have to unplug. And do CTRL-ALT-DEL. At least when that happens I get back the sites I was looking at. Merely turning the computer off means I start all over finding the sites.
No TV Week or comics in the two papers that are missing them and no response from the people who can get those back. I'm at least hoping those are on microfilm for both papers if the problem can't get solved but one library never responded.
I did not find the missing soap. On the other hand, as I use a different bar of the same soap, I have realized that the smell I don't like is also the one smell that I did not smell back in the days before COVID-19.
Also see the Food Thread.

I had some signal problems with Roy (Chad) Wednesday but at least I was home and remembered to turn it on, so I could adjust the antenna.
The monitor fell at least once and was unplugged when I turned the computer on yesterday. Meaning I had to turn the computer off, and then on, which means if I wanted to be on any given web site I had to find it again, thanks to the new Edge.
I finally gave up trying to keep the old Facebook since they're taking it away anyway. If I go often enough, the one thing that bothers me the most other than a different look isn't as big a problem. They want me to click more to see some posts than I would have with the old Facebook. What bothers me the most is it's harder to see notifications.

I saw Roy (Chad) today. No problems.
I keep having to plug the monitor back in.
I used my new electric razor yesterday. Works fine.
Facebook has other problems I hadn't counted on. I thought I was going to need AVP's help just to post photos on another site. Then I found another way to copy the URL.
No TV Week or comics. I did find that a web site for one of the features on the comics pages is being updated.
I can celebrate at least for now. I found paper towels which were square and good quality. I had bought them before the shortages. I also opened a package I bought recently and it too has square paper towels which seem to be good quality.

I give up on TV Week. I'll just have to go back to that library but I need to find some way to make sure those are being preserved.
I had the computer freeze a couple of times this week.
Virus scan did fine There was a scan taking place of a few files even before I got off the computer.
Forgot to watch Roy (Chad) live but he did record.

Went to the mall some yesterday with my friend Sean and it was a surreal experience. We later tried to get food at the local Olive Garden and after 10 minutes or so of NO service we walked out. They were hardly crowded either.
Maybe 20 people in the total restaurant including the staff and a few other guests.
