Mouse noises but no visible mouse or evidence.

Noises under the house, and I'm still waiting for someone to fix the way into the basement.

I didn't try to use the new spray bottle but when I refilled the new style one, I knocked it over and the top fell off and Lysol spilled out. There is just no way I can ever buy a new Lysol spray bottle. Maybe I will use old Windex bottles when they are empty.

Mower is back and someone was cutting down a tree so I almost got to talk with him. I can't be here tomorrow and he didn't tell me how I could contact him or tell me another time he could come. Weird. My Ohio radio station was advertising tree care while I typed that.

I have to find out how to use the new hard drive to give myself more space to record shows.

I thought my Internet went out but it was a web site problem.

My Internet went out numerous times yesterday. Never for more than a minute, but sometimes several times in five minutes. Sometimes no problems for an hour.

Somehow my computer got unplugged. Of course when I saw the cord this morning it was no longer a mystery. But last night the white light was no longer blinking. I had to turn the computer on and it wouldn't turn on.

The second Roy recorded fine.

Hard drive won't work unless I use it to replace the one that's already there. Shows will be gone unless I move them somewhere. One person gave me the same advice as before but the process is so complicated I don't want to try it now that the shows aren't gone. The only solution is to watch all the shows when I have time. The only shows I can delete quickly are Olympic competitions. You see one skater, you've seen them all. I dd get lucky because those girls are fascinating to watch, especially with a male partner.

I heard a noise while watching TV and looked down and there was the mouse standing on its hind legs. So cute. Then it disappeared under the desk and kept poking its head out. Also cute. But I want it gone!

The man who said he could come to my house the next day to look at my tree later said he was coming after lunch. Never showed up or responded when I called.

I got my subscription to the TV section renewed but I kept being told to call a different number or that the number I called didn't exist.

I opened a roll of paper towels I didn't know I had, and while it's the good kind, they are also choose a size.

My Internet went out once yesterday but it was at the end of the day. Which was bad because I was trying to finish something I'm still trying to finish.

A pile of newspapers got in my way and I moved them. Then others fell and made things worse.

Both Roys did fine but I was lucky. I've had problems with the station's signal.

Loud mouse noise (not sure when) and I heard the mouse run behind me a couple of times while on the computer. No evidence. I hope what I found int he kitchen sink wasn't mouse related, but I've seen whatever that was when unrelated to mice.

My computer got unplugged twice, on the same day. I lost a lot of stuff in an email I didn't save because in order to use the address I want to, I have to choose between automatic saving of drafts (with my old computer not doing that may have been better) and being able to deal easily with the emails. For example, the new version won't allow plain text. It will give me something it calls plain text which is still problematic. I found the news articles again and hope that was all.

No response from the tree man but I didn't call again.

I had to call to authorize use of my new debit card. This is harder than it sounds because the light wasn't good enough in the room with the phone and I kept messing up. Once it just said it couldn't process and hung up. The three-digit code was in a strange place.

I take my hazardous waste tomorrow and I realized I'd have to tell them not to touch my cell phone, because they've taken it the last two times and fortunately I saw the box that shouldn't have been removed. I can also take the box out of the car. I have a bunch of boxes to put back.

So far so good with the mattress pad.

My new glasses are finally not having to be pushed back up, although I'm not wearing them much yet. And my nose hurts when they fit right.

The tooth my dentist fixed hurts sometimes.

I saw the mouse. I also saw evidence where I would rather not. But maybe there's another explanation.

Haven't checked Roy yet but the antenna isn't working as well as it did to begin with.

I took the cell phone out of the car and had to wait in line for 30 minutes.

I keep seeing the mouse. It comes out of hiding, looks around and then just darts back into its hiding place.

Roy did fine but some of the other shows I was depending on an antenna didn't do so well. In one case I got lucky when a show was bumped to the middle of the night. The end got cut off but I saw it in the other recording, or at least most of it. I need to delete more shows so I won't have to record with an antenna, which isn't a good idea anyway when I'm running out of room there too.

I tried to use my cell phone to call my cousin I was meeting and it didn't work. I called the next day and was told I'm getting a new one because of the need for updates. I had seen a letter about this. They tried to get in touch with me (obviously not very hard) and they made the mistake of labelling it "important" so I dismissed it as some promotion.

I haven't worn my new glasses all week though I can see fine with the old ones. One reason was I had symptoms that made it necessary to put on a mask, and maybe I should have stayed home that day. The muscle aches could have been from mowing grass. I have to work harder to get the mower started than I would like. And the areas where I was mowing are hard to get to. The allergy symptoms were surely from mowing. If not for my sensitivity to cold and heat, there might have been nothing to feel concerned about.

My newspaper's comics section changed again (as did all newspapers owned by the company). In one case, because I didn't learn for two days, I missed one strip because the only way to see it for free only lets me see that day's strip.

Computer got turned off once. I do get a message each week saying it did a scan and I'll just assume that's good enough.

Google Drive got much harder to use and there's no one to ask for help.

Heard mouse, didn't see it. Saw possible evidence where I would least want to.

No Sunday Tundra. That's one of the comics my newspaper dropped. Tundra is in the Seattle Times but there are supposed to be three panels. I saw one. and a bunch of Sunday comics were dropped.

Roy did fine.

Computer got turned off once after I didn't do anything wrong until just before I sat down. Modem got unplugged and that caused me a problem watching a program recorded on one TiVo and watched on another. And more problems with that TiVo first as I tried to figure out what was wrong, and then an unexpected problem.

Waiting on the package that has my wedding video on it to arrive, it hasn't arrived yet so having to be patient for it to come.

Also am waiting on some paperwork to start changing my name legally from my maiden name to my maiden name with my now married name.

I may have seen two different mice. One was cuter than the other, if that's true. The good news is when I find the glue traps, those little mice won't get out of it.

Computer didn't get turned off but Internet keeps going out when I'm walking past the modem. Doesn't really affect me that much.

However, the newest TiVo wasn't recording. If I hadn't made sure to delete shows I didn't need early in the evening, I wouldn't have known and I'd have missed some important recordings. I had to set up manual recordings and eventually, recordings that started after I connected to TiVo were made anyway. Both are full right now, which means shows can only be recorded without deleting if there are enough shows in the recently deleted folder.

I tried asking for help with Google Drive. No response. The library that has access to newspapers can't help either, because it's Google Drive's problem.

One magazine missing all year from one of the libraries I go to finally came in but there are still three missed issues.

Mouse peeked out and went back in. Evidence in my bag on Vitamin C drops but it can't do anything except remove the wrapped drops and can't unwrap them.

I had the phone. It came in a box at the same time as some items that I ordered online because of a rewards program and if I had bothered to look, I would have seen the name of the phone company. It was because I ordered more items through the rewards program and saw the list from my previous order that I knew everything was in the one box. But I had been led to believe there were separate shipments.

New glasses really bother me. The part of the band-aid that sticks irritates my nose, but I need more to keep my nose from hurting and also between my eyebrows. Older glasses don't bother me.

No response from another tree man.

I spilled soap when trying to refill a pump. I also got out my last pump and don't know how to buy more pumps.

I put drain cleaner in the sink and it didn't seem to help. The sink may be draining faster but I worry that one day the water will go up into the sink and not drain.

First Roy had a minor glitch at one point.

Mattress pad needed to be tucked in twice and of course the second corner needed to be tucked in as I tried to get the first one. Washing the mattress pad will come soon because I can take the blankets off the bed when it gets hot.

I may have heard the mouse but I'm not sure I saw it. What I heard in the kitchen one time was a bird but as soon as I went in it left through the same small opening. I closed the door better.

Loud mouse noises. It sounds like it is sawing wood. No visible signs of a mouse or an actual mouse.

Second Roy did fine. I was disappointed in the TV special I had time to watch. I assumed it would be all Roy stories. One by him, one about him. The rest Chad, but one I hadn't seen.

Not sure if I tucked in the mattress pad.

I found another pump in the bag.

I was going to buy a large refill bottle of Lysol but I saw light bulbs and realized I need the new kind that I don't have to replace quickly for where it is hard to remove the cover. Lysol went up a lot and I got a new gift card which I will use when it gets here.

I can't get single rolls of Bounty quality towels, even choose a size! I don't want to open a roll and have to deal with the other roll.

TiVo had to be turned off and on for some reason. I went to the list of shows already recorded and there weren't any, and I couldn't tell it to record a show manually either.

Twice I had to tuck the mattress pad back in, in both corners. It still gets cool enough I need blankets so I can't take them off to wash them yet.

Loud mouse noises (and an echo, or maybe the same mouse moved), but worse is the fact I've been seeing my supply of Vitamin C drops disappear. One night they were all gone. Fortunately, I had decided to go to the drug store where I can use my phone number to get a discount. And got them anyway even though I couldn't.

I can't find single roll Bounty quality paper towels, much less square ones, and this morning I ran out. I replaced them with Cha Ching, about as low quality as you can get. I have an idea where to find what I'm looking for and I'll settle for a single roll. But it has to fit on the paper towel holder that isn't very good, which was all I could find in an emergency. When I had time, I got a better one to replace the other one, and I use that for paper towels which must be square, even if poor quality.

I may have dialed the wrong number calling the tree man. When he answered, he said he would come. $500, compared to $400 from the last man who actually came and $200 for two trees when the man who won't come was here before. This man said it really should come down. I'm going to try again.

I saw the first of three missing magazines with a free trial. Hard to do when pages are too small and I can't scroll because trying to do it turns pages. I figured out a strange way to scroll, though.

I saw the mouse but not in the room where I watch TV. I don't know where it goes.

Power went out right in the middle of Roy. Now I have to see the "live" newscast on a night when I was counting on being able to get off the computer early. On the other hand, if it had been LIVE live, the power outage would have kept me from seeing that. I can go do the other stuff but I have to listen for the music that introduces Roy.

One of my comics strip web sites also went out. I can find many of the strips other ways but not the comments.

I had to reset the time on my clock radio which is not easy. I could not reset the alarm so I had to change the time so that when I want to wake up, it is midnight. Now I have to remember when I look at the time that 1:20 is when I want to get out of bed on Sunday morning, not 2:40. Or put my watch back on after washing my hair. I caught up on the comic strips.

Second Roy did fine and I think it was a rerun. First Roy also did fine. However, the same antenna wasn't getting a signal at all from the ABC station, which with the other antenna has traditionally been the one station not to have any problems. I tested the other antenna and it did fine. I tested the antenna I want to record with and it was doing better, but not perfect. Ironically, the other antenna still has trouble with Roy. Or maybe it's not ironic. It has a feature setting the direction where the station I want is located. I lost the remote that sets that feature but don't remember how I set the direction in the first place. Still, the two stations' towers are quite close together.

I forgot to remove the sleeve that crackers came in and saw evidence a mouse had been there. I have heard but not seen a mouse.

Saw the second magazine.

The man did a preliminary repair for my basement. Wonder what Tuxedo Kitty will do.

Mattress pad had to be tucked in, and this was also the case when I sat on the bed.

I'm glad my power went out earlier because it meant I got a battery and it was there when my power went out at least ten times on Saturday. This made it necessary to turn the computer on when I started using it yesterday, but I also had to turn it back on once while using it on Saturday. And private browsing, which I use for several reasons, had to be restarted both times. And I have to sign in to several web sites when I do that.

TiVo quit as I was deleting something, right in the middle of a recording. I don't think I missed anything because it was about to go to a commercial, but the other TiVo hadn't saved any of the show.

Other Roy was a rerun. I don't know how I'll delete enough to be able to continue recording while I'm in the mountains. I can't delete if I somehow record too much. And the older TiVo has less space so it'll be easy to go over and something could get deleted. One thing I can do is record Roy before I leave and unplug the older TiVo but I might forget. The newer TiVo is unlikely to get a good recording on that channel.

And while I'm in the mountains how will I know what's on? I haven't checked to see if my TV section came today but last time, it did not. I realized it when I got it late. Before that I thought I had the week wrong. The one that's supposed to come today is the one I will need.

Commenters on one comic strip who provide links to classic strips have been banned and they gave up on that site so now they're on another site that has the strip. I have to remember to go to the site early in the day or these comments with links are harder to find.

About my clock radio: I did not feel like getting up but on Sunday it was 1:20. Only it wasn't. I got up and got ready and it was 1:14. There was no colon! But at least I was early.

Computer is being very temperamental. It seems to be worst when a site uses an ad blocker and I still see the name of a web site which means ads because the ads in question are not blocked.

I keep seeing the mouse but where I saw it last I don't see how it kept from getting caught by the glue trap.

I got the TV section and put it in what I will take to the mountains.

Mattress pad got tucked in at least once. One time I just waited until I sat on the bed to put newspaper articles I was keeping where they go.

I got up after 1:20 Sunday.

I accidentally clicked on the X in the upper right corner and lost what I had been working on for so long. I had saved it but I don't think what I did allows it to be retrieved in this situation.

No mouse my first night back at home, or even noise. Or evidence. Noises last night from something.

Haven't checked today's Roy (edit: live means live and I missed it so it better have recorded) but I got most of Wednesday's even on the TiVo where the antenna often doesn't perform well. Rather than unplug, I unplugged the antenna from the TiVo that gets better results with Roy. Good thing I did because it was at 100 percent and I had no way of deleting anything. I lost some MacGyver episodes but strongly believe I saw them. I got down to 95 percent by doing that and was pleased to see 98 when I got home--just in time to delete what didn't actually need to record. I was five minutes late to join a tour group but wouldn't have wanted to spend the time there and needed to get home, and tours were $18, now that I have checked. I was hoping I could see it without a formal process. "The Hunger Games" was filmed there.

Computer quit on me my last day in the mountains and I had set a deadline so I'd get out of there to go home. I was able to restart it after seeing someone push the button. And then it had to update. If I didn't leave right then I'd be late getting home.

I keep seeing or hearing the mouse and though I put out a new trap, no results. But almost no "evidence".

Both Roys did fine. Well, almost fine in the case of Monday.

My computer has been misbehaving a lot lately. I don't know what the cause is. All I know is when certain sites are slow, which is not all the time, there as a URL in the lower left corner related to ads. I thought about turning the ad blocker off for those sites, but when the problem started happening on sites without ads, that didn't work. But for all the sites, private browsing solved the problem because the ad blocker isn't there for some odd reason, though it was on my old computer. I asked for help on a site where I have gotten answers, and I realized I hadn't cleared my history in a while. That of course have cause me a new set of problems, but that will be solved soon.

On the subject of private browsing, I lose whatever I was doing if the computer gets turned off, and I'm not signed in any more. I got a phone call from someone important and got up to answer the phone, and the computer turned off. I have accidentally unplugged the computer several times because it ought to plug in securely, but it doesn't. At least it's better than the old computer which had a plug which was really easy to unplug.

No mouse, no noise, but evidence. Trap hasn't worked.

Computer problems have not gotten any better. The only solution so far is to use private browsing except for the one situation where I definitely need an ad blocker and that's the eEdition of The Charlotte Observer. Also, any site where I need to be signed in. On the two sites that have had problems I wasn't signed in, but now it looks like I'll have to be. Every time the computer restarts or gets unplugged I have to sign in again. Facebook requires I be signed in.

I may go back to before Windows updates and refuse to get any more updates until the problem is solved. The first step is to get rid of the ad blocker but I have to have a new one before Saturday when I have to read the eEdition. I also have to do that for Parade.
