Did not take me long to get over my fear of the walking dead. This episode was great. I can't decide which was my favorite scene, but I can tell you which ones I will remember for awhile. The standoff between the inmates and Rick's gang was powerful. I wasn't sure who would back down. Poking the walking dead in the eye to have something to practice a C-section on. Call me heartless - I loved Rick's reaction when Lori finally got the chance to emote. He was so cool when he responded that they appreciated what she did and just walked away. Who was the coldest in this episode? or I think the inmate (Tomas) was psycho but he cleans up nice. Think about it. He spent 10 months in close quarters with Big Tiny and beat on him as if he had eaten the last drumstick. He swung his blade at Rick and pushed a walking dead on him. Rick is now officially the bad ass of the week in my book. I think putting the guy outside and telling him to run was worse than killing the inmates. Shane ain't got nothin' on Rick! The only scene I did not enjoy was the "go ahead and die Daddy" scene. WTH? They need a doctor. I know think that was supposed to mean she did not want him to suffer, but she had also said he wouldn't be able to run and all they do is run. What do you think was her motive? I screamed only one time. Note to self: make a collage for TWD because there are too many names to remember.

Just finished watching 3.02 and I have to say, it was stellar! I didn't see the fight between Rick's group and Tomas's group coming, but it certainly got rid of extraneous characters in a somewhat satisfying fashion. Those locked up guys looked in pretty good shape (especially Tomas) for being locked in a small area for almost a year. How did Tiny stay so heavy? Rick has become pretty driven. A little scary, but at least he was able to smile at Hershel. Even Carl was able to smile. Anti, I think I liked it, too. when Rick thanked Lori for saving Hershel and then just walked away. I wonder what is going to happen with them when the baby was born. You're seeing more than I did with the daughters, Maggie and Beth and Herschel. Although, when I think about it, if he died, they would have had to split his skull to keep him from turning. The bigger question for me is why did Herschel reach out for Rick and NOT his daughters? I know Herschel has become really attached to Rick....was it just that Rick cut his leg off and, thus, saved him? Is it something more? Pretty tough to choose who is tougher, but I choose Tomas since he killed his own after being offered the chance to have a section of the prison they could call their own. I don't Rick has yet killed one of his own without real heartache. Is it bad that I wish this season of Supernatural was this good?

No, this season of Supernatural has not been as exciting as TWD. So, Carver needs to do something if he wants to hold onto his fans. Maggie's death bed monologue with Hershel is not what I expected to hear. I thought it would be more of an apology for giving him so much drama most of her life. Instead, she was encouraging him to "let go and go el croak-o". I don't get it. Oh yeah, when Hershel reached for Rick, I screamed because I thought he was going to try to bite him. Maybe he just happened to wake up completely at that moment. Do you record "The Talking Dead" that comes on immediately following TWD? I started recording it late into S2, and it is affiliated with the show. The guest star was Tomas and it was fun to hear his view of the show. Poor thing, he said since they handed him a script, he thought he was going to be a recurring character. Bummer!
I can remember the names, but have trouble assigning the female names to the right person. Therefore, I need this and yes, the names are large enough to be read if the image is clicked.

No, I've never recorded TTD. I guess I want to keep the actors at a distance so I'm not terribly upset when one of them dies. I'm so pitiful. I'm wondering if Maggie almost half wanted her dad to die so their wouldn't be any interference with her relationship with Glenn. Although Herschel seems to have accepted him. I don't know. It was a confusing scene. Perhaps we'll find out more later. Now if the Lori character dies, I wouldn't care one snap! As for comparing Supernatural to TED, I happened to catch some of "Asylum" in our kitchen at work. Wow, season 1 was so superior to anything since season 5 ended. You're right....Carver better get a move on. So far, I'm a little disappointed.

I'm not sure what Maggie's motives were when she was talking to Herschel. She must have known that if he died he would have had to either be shot in the head or something of the sort, since he would have become a zombie. Interesting and confusing....maybe we'll learn more in later episodes. As for comparing Supernatural and TWD, I must say that TWD reminds me of the first couple of seasons of SPN. Carver better get us some good episodes. I've been a little disappointed with episodes 2 and 3. I happened to catch part of "Asylum" on the TV in our kitchen at work and was reminded of just how good SPN has been.

The strangest thing is as soon as you said "Asylum", I had an image of what happened in the episode. I can remember what happened in all of the episodes for the first several years, but I struggle with remembering what happened in some of the episodes in S6 and S7. It's baffling.

Yup. It's sad to see how the quality of the writing has ebbed. Jensen and Jared are as good as ever, but what they're given to speak and act is certainly a step below the quality of seasons 1-5.
I think we need a "Draft Erik Kripke" campaign to get him to write some episodes. But I suppose he's so busy with his new venture, he doesn't have the time.
Interesting that nothing has been heard from Sera Gamble since her exit from the show. I had such high hopes when she took over but had forgotten an interview where she said that Erik had revised one of her scripts and took some nonsense out of it. We needed that steady hand in season 6-7.
Wel, TWD is only starting its third season. Let's hope they avoid falling short in the story department.
