When I was watching the new Spider-Man movie, I reclined the theater seat and my cell phone slid from my pocket. I could not find it in the dark so I sat through the entire movie hoping it was not damaged. While the end credits were rolling, a nice young man used the light on his phone to search for my phone, and he found it.

I had a very tedious project using LibreOffice6.1 for a friend of mine, it took almost all day to get it completed but it definitely challenged me more than I ever expected it to!

See the Food Thread and the weather thread.
My cousin said the cheaper car had been sold. At least I think that's what she said. She hasn't gotten back to me.
The library that was having the problem with the one newspaper is getting it again but two weeks are missing. That's going to make me very busy next time I go to another library that has it.
Minor computer problems today but nothing even close to making it necessary to turn it off. Virus scan was fine. I keep getting messages saying my virus protection has expired and of course the last time I asked about that the person said no it hasn't and dealt with the malware.
I did not record "Roy's Folks" on Wednesday because I wasn't home to adjust the antenna.

Threw away some old writing projects that I wrote ages ago, it seems almost ridiculous how silly I was in my crush. I can't believe how immature I was when writing it.

Federal guidelines require folks to provide 4 documents to the MVA to prove their identity and address. I had to show them: original Social Security card, passport, vehicle registration and property tax bill. The upside is I was able to make an appointment and waited only five minutes. The downside is they made copies of my documents instead of just noting the system that they were acceptable.

I think my portable washing machine and dryer has bit the dust. The motor doesn't seem to be running and I checked to see if there were any loose screws or wires, nothing! Ugh! It's only a year old too, but hopefully in a few weeks we can get a replacement one from either Amazon.com or eBay.
Also our outdoor stairwell is continually blocked regardless of the time of day which makes it challenging to travel up and down the stairs. I don't mind people enjoying the weather or spending time together but please try to keep these stairways cleared especially near the handrails so my mom can use them. She's just starting to feel like herself again.

See the Food Thread and the sports thread.
I had to hold the antenna to watch "Roy's Folks" and it took a lot of effort just to get a watchable signal. And I won't be home Wednesday.
I don't know if this always happens but when my computer froze and had to be unplugged both yesterday and today the clock stopped. Today I had managed to close what was causing a problem but that didn't seem to help. Also, my computer needed to be restarted for updates yesterday. At least that happened but I'd rather be off the computer and not have to wait. Whatever happened yesterday I lost a bunch of stuff and had to find it again.
My rechargeable electric razor wasn't working Sunday after I unplugged it Thursday since I looked so bad I had to use the one that won't stay plugged-in. So I had to use that one again.
While moving stuff so my new mattress can be moved in I found a shampoo bottle. At the rate I use shampoo it'll take me ten years to use it all. I no longer take it to motels since shampoo is now provided, or even if isn't, I kept what I didn't use.
I don't think this had been there long. A box of crackers had a half empty sleeve. I first noticed a half a cracker on the floor.

I think I must have pulled a muscle or something because I was in terrible pain and felt nauseous. Waiting over 2 hours in my mom's eye doctor with the air conditioning did NOT exactly help me feel any better.
Fortunately I was able to lie down when we got home and that's helped some.

Still not feeling like myself so I am going to the doctor tomorrow after my mom's eye exam to find out what is wrong. These symptoms are similar to my kidney stones but it has a few others that I didn't have previously.

AVP, that is a serious combination but I cannot imagine what is causing it. Please let us know if the doctor helps you.

Will do, I also spoke with my church sister who is a nurse and I described my symptoms to her via Messenger and she gave me an overview of what it could be but definitely agreed that a doctor should give me a more complete diagnosis.

Yes, the doctors at urgent care did find out what was wrong. It wasn't kidney stones or an UTI, instead it's a bladder Infection.

See the Food Thread and the sports thread. I promise I will post both places this time.
No problems with the virus scan today. The computer was misbehaving once but I closed the problematic site in time. I wasted way too much time this afternoon reading and trying to follow advice on several web sites for what might be causing my problem. I went to the store where I bought the computer and they said I could bring it in and get a free evaluation. Nope, not carrying it around.
I saw parts of Wednesday's "Roy's Folks" but neither recording enough of it for me to see it all so I have to find that story online. Another show didn't record because it was listed as a rerun. It wasn't. I didn't find out until the show was over, though because the antenna doesn't work that well, I had already recorded the last 30 minutes, which included the end of that show. If I can't record from more than two channels and the TiVo can record two shows at once, then the other channel must be that one.
I was able to use the rechargeable razor but it doesn't even look like I've done anything. I guess that means using the other one this weekend.
The store selling my new mattress won't take my old mattress away. They said call the people who collect my trash and they won't do it either. I don't know what to do with it.
A light bulb burned out. I shouldn't have that problem but I bought a bunch of them, even though I now have new style bulbs that fit and will last. I have to use all the old ones. And when I removed the cover, the bulb came back on. Another day I actually saw it burn out and I had to replace it. I guess I should have replaced it earlier. Except it would be kind of hot once I unscrewed it.
A bird got into where I get my newspaper and I had to clean it again. On a related note, one bird sits on its nest in my window and I saw another yelling at the first bird. I guess it was, "You sit there and do nothing and I do all the work!"

Bird update: I looked out as I was cleaning the bathroom I actually use. The blinds are open just enough that I can see what is going on below them. I never saw eggs, but on this day, no mother, but three little ones with their mouths open. The mother came back and fed them. This kept happening over and over, and sometimes the mother would sit on them.
See the sports thread and maybe the Food Thread, if I remember to post and if I remember what I was going to post.
After all my efforts, still the computer froze enough to cause problems but not enough to need restarting. I still lost something. I lost something in an email to myself by clicking on "back". Why can't it just give me what was already saved as a draft? It saved again, but it saved a previous version. I may have had problems over the weekend but I actually can't remember.
I didn't use the other rechargeable razor.
I couldn't get a signal for "Roy's Folks" regardless of how high I held the antenna. Then I put it down, and the signal came back. Now why would it do that? And I still missed a couple of details. Every time a car passes something happens.

Bird update: the babies look too big to stay in that nest much longer.
See the weather thread and the Food Thread.
I recorded "Roy's Folks" but most of the time there was nothing or a lot of lines across the screen, which means no sound. I recorded both newscasts that should have it but one was Mueller.
And my computer froze enough that I seemed to have no choice but to unplug it. In another case I almost had to do it. In all the cases it was a Berkshire Hathaway newspaper, though one time my Yahoo email disappeared so apparently that was a problem. I also got the annoying beep that told me my computer was damaged (which means nothing but if I follow their advice it will be). Several times today I was told my virus protection had expired and once I was given a legitimate message saying it was about to. But I don't think it is. I'll check with the phone company. I started the virus scan this morning with one of the options being to see results. The results screen has been popping up every day since the last one. This time when I got rid of it, it gave me the correct options. And the scan completed successfully.
I dropped a pair of sunglasses and now I can't find them. I tried and tried. I did find a package of batteries I didn't know I had. I don't really need them since I have rechargeable ones, but I'll just go ahead and use them. I found another package of batteries which won't work because they're a mess. I bought replacement sunglasses. I'd rather not wear the glasses for when I need to see if I don't need to see anything.

Bird update: Sometimes the mother appears to be bringing food but whatever she brought she takes away from the babies. The babies make noise and then stop. And when the mother shows up, she makes a noise and the babies make noises.
I can't remember whether the computer had to be unplugged but I did lose a bunch of information when my Yahoo email just disappeared. I think this happens because of ad problems. But of course there was a Berkshire Hathaway newspaper involved. I copy and paste anything I want to read or print out but sometimes that takes several tries and if it does, then whatever happens with those newspapers happens. I've had some frustration today for whatever reason. I couldn't get my own Facebook timeline to load. And if I clicked when it said Facebook was not responding, I got sent back to another page. Eventually, whatever I wanted to see on Facebook loaded. Later today, the name of the site turned gray and anytime that happens I can't make anything happen until it turns black again, if it ever does.
I hope this isn't serious. I keep being told I have no firewall or virus protection. But when I click on McAfee it says both are on.
My neighbor (not the one with cats) obviously mowed a section of my yard. And while it doesn't look like it was done recently, I certainly wasn't the one who mowed where there was poison ivy. I don't know how much he did but I wish he'd stop it. I can do it myself, except where the poison ivy is.

Neighbor's tree fell and stretched across his yard and destroyed part of my fence. When I had trees near the fence cut down, the neighbors thought it was unnecessary. Now look!

Bird update: Just yesterday the birds were as big as their mother and they were scary coming after her for food. I don't know why they stayed in the nest, but there was hardly enough room for them. Today, I haven't seen a single bird, so I must have missed the process of the birds being pushed out of the nest.
See the Food Thread, but I'll explain why what I am posting there happened. I got my new mattress delivered yesterday, but I couldn't get the old box springs out of the room. I didn't know what else to do with the new foundation so I just said leave it outside. The problem with that is I was assuming I could get the old box springs out. If they were 30 years old they absolutely needed replacing, but I couldn't lift them. I didn't have any way of letting the men in my room to do it. I can work on making it possible for someone to get in there, but once I do, I can't just remove the old mattress. Maybe when I wash the mattress pad, which I've been doing once a year when I turned the mattress over. But there are two mattress pads so one will stay nice. I could wash more often the one on top which isn't nice any more. As for the foundation I can't use, I'm waiting on a call from the manager of the store where I bought it, but so far I've been told they don't take back items like that. It is still wrapped, though. I could store it until I could figure out how to get the old one out, but I don't have a place. I don't think the porch is a good place.
In the process of moving stuff so the mattress could be brought in, I found only one of my six missing shoes.
The computer was unplugged this morning but the virus scan went smoothly. I have six days before my virus protection expires but I pay my phone bill in six days so maybe I can get it straightened out then.
I don't recall any computer problems Tuesday but I was told the men would be there with my mattress sometime that afternoon and that caused me stress all afternoon. I tried watching Hulu, but my experience is on the The Good Place thread.
Today I had to unplug the computer once, or at least it seemed like that was all that would work. There was another time when I thought it was going to happen. And once I lost an email because the site disappeared. I don't know what causes this but it happened several times. No Berkshire Hathaway problems today.
I think "Roy's Folks" did fine on Monday but while I was gone Wednesday pretty much nothing got recorded. I did see every newspaper that I missed earlier but a TV section was missing from one and that will require going to another library when I have time. One which had a photo I wanted to copy didn't have that photo. Whichever paper it was, I gave it to a man at the library to save for me but it was never seen again and neither was he. Apparently I wrote down the wrong paper because the photo wasn't there. But I think I saw the same photo in another paper.
I heard noises that could have been a mouse but saw a large spider. I squashed it.
The car I want is still there but my cousin says I should be paying a little over half what they're asking.

FedEx literally threw one of our packages at our doorstep from their truck which was incredibly dangerous since we had ordered cleaning supplies and it could have easily have spilled out or worse plus didn't even mark it as delivered!
This really angered me and I have filled a complaint and claim with FedEx about this!

I have my credit card account set up to text me whenever a purchase is made. I received a text that a purchase for over $1,300 was made at a wholesale store. I called immediately and Capital One locked the account and marked the charge as fraud. The ad-free option for this forum is charged to that account. I had a difficult time setting that up because Chrome does not play well with ProBoards credit system. When I get the new card, I hope I remember to update the account or everyone will see ads again.

See the Food Thread, if I remember to post there, as well as the gas price thread.
One of my shoes fell apart so I threw it in the trash. I have plenty of shoes that are about to fall apart but I don't like wearing nice shoes to replace them. But there are a lot of old shoes for now. I wish I could find the five I haven't found, and I don't even know what I did with the one I found.
I contacted tech support because of my warnings about my virus protection expiring. There was a tool to connect my new virus protection with whatever was giving me the error. When the person was finished instead of five days left I had 35. Interesting considering I haven't paid the bill yet. I don't think there were any major computer problems over the weekend but I've had a couple of minor ones.
I had a better experience with Hulu if I can find an appropriate thread.

I lost a Yahoo email because for some reason it told me to sign in when I tried to save it. And when I do, it doesn't save what I was working on. There was another email service that assured me that wouldn't happen.

See the Food Thread.
Virus scan went fine except I couldn't get the confirmation it had completed to show up until I closed it. I'm being told to update Windows and I'll do that when I leave here today. I still get the firewall message but I'll deal with that on the weekend.
No real computer problems today.
I haven't checked on "Roy's Folks" but I now transfer recordings to the main TiVo. It was "partial" so that's not a good sign. Furthermore, there were dates for rescanning in a recent newspaper. Who knows whether that will help? And there's no point in getting an antenna until the rescanning in the Charlotte area is complete.
Forgot to look for the missing photo. If it was in a Sunday paper I didn't bother to look at those.

See the Food Thread (I promise. I posted there already.) and the Sports Thread.
Bird update: I destroyed the nest so if any bird wants to lay eggs there again, they have to start over.
Windows is updated. I contacted McAfee again and was told the software needed to be uninstalled and then reinstalled. I don't know if that has worked but I only had one problem today which was probably too many windows open.
My computer came unplugged before I turned it on Sunday.
I haven't watched the videos of "Roy's Folks" but I need to remember to. Maybe I'll do it after I get through here.
I saw a spider in the bathtub but before I could squash it I heard a noise in the kitchen. Actually, the spider was still in the bathtub so I don't know what was in the kitchen.

I got a good recording of "Roy's Folks" even without being home but the last four I didn't see are not on the web site and no one ever responds when I tell them.
The Burger King where I got pancakes that weren't any good wouldn't do anything for me because I won't be back for a year. Make that I won't be back.
I heard another possible mouse. It could have been a spider but some of the noises it made couldn't have been a spider. However, the noise stopped quickly.
Found the missing photo but at the college I graduated from making a copy is like getting a permit in a city where you need to go to five different windows.
No serious computer problems today and virus scan went fine. I don't recall if I had problems on Tuesday.
Three cars now for me to choose from, but the asking prices for two are twice what my cousin says they should be.
My new refrigerator has icicles in the freezer.

Had a long day today at church helping clean out the two classrooms getting rid of things we no longer need for the children. That was a long ordeal but it looks lots better in there and less cluttered in there.
