When I was a kid and saw my first fortune cookie, I wondered if there was some old and wise chinese guy in a little room in the back of the restaurant who would write them all day every day. Well if he's there, this thread is made in his honour, and to lighten his workload a little! Write any line on any subject, as long as it sounds fortune cookie-ish  I'll start off: Friendships based on laughter, tend to occur at random. |

True story: had been dating a nice enough fella for a while, but it was time to end it. Planned to do so that very evening. He suggested chinese, I stupidly agreed. His fortune cookie - he gleefully showed me - said, "stop looking for true love, it sits beside you." Shit. Had to wait a couple more days... Fun thread...  |

My favorite one said that I was going on an exotic journey soon. I didn't, unfortunately, but it was a lot of fun to think about. Tink, are you sure the guy didn't pay someone to stuff that fortune cookie?  |
